[The whole attempting to avoid the situation didn't last long. While she has a strong personality and most of what makes Darcy Darcy is still there, something's off. Her movements are different and if someone looks closely enough there's hints of black veins peeking up over her scarf. With her memories in place, she searches for people she knows and recognizes with one mission in mind.

[Like Darcy had, Nageki intends to lay low. Most events seem to target humans (not surprising given just how many are here), so perhaps a bird can slip by unnoticed.

That's what he hopes when he spots a human moving oddly in the hallways, even as he does his best to back away from her without attracting attention.]

[While the eight ball may not have targeted him for possession, it was definitely targeting him right now as an easy target.

She moves not caring about how much attention she brings herself anymore. The time for games was over. The slight movement catches her eye, gaze fixing on him as she changes direction and starts moving towards him.]

[That hadn't been the reaction Nageki was hoping for. He stays still for a little bit as he decides what to do before he tries to turn around and fly up near the ceiling, out of her reach. He can explain himself if she's an ordinary human but if she isn't and she wants to attack him than hopefully this distance will allow him to escape.]

[There’s an intelligence to the creature, an awareness that’s unlike any other bird the memories show. It make things intriguing - in the same vein that it makes the bird dangerous. It could tip off others - make her a target and the eight ball just couldn’t have that.

There’s a jerky shift to the body language as large wings appear. She doesn’t race after him just yet, though. No instead, she watches - attempting to predict his next movement.]

[Nageki isn't sure what to make of a human with wings, but this isn't the first person he's seen with unusual abilities. She isn't doing anything, so it is still difficult for him to tell if she means ill or not.]

[He speaks cautiously and waits to see what her response will be.]

[Curiouser and curiouser.

The wings curl around her as black eyes narrow on him. There's a gentle tilt of her head in response to the greeting. Can birds be possessed by eight balls? It would certainly come in handy - no one would suspect the bird.

So, with a little beat of her wings, she hovers - slowly approaching him.]

[Nageki stays as still he can while he hovers over the ground. He keeps a wary eye on Darcy, but his suspicion is lessening as more and more time passes without an attack.]

[And that's when she strikes, swinging forward - attempting to catch him with the tip of a wing. A she fakes left and actual veers right situation. While his suspicion lessons and hopefully his guard, as well.]

[Nageki can see the wing as it swings towards him, but he still can't get out of the way fast enough. He is a bit stunned and falls. He quickly resumes flapping his wings to slow his descent.]

[Deep down, Darcy is mortified - or will be later. She's not a violent person, but it's not exactly like she has any say in what the eight ball is doing. It hovers lower, watching the descent - assessing injuries to see what the bird might do next. Because if it tried to run off, there'd be a whole new game of chase.]

[Hopefully the eight ball is enjoying itself because Nageki is definitely attempting an escape. He mostly feels winded, so he can still move around and landing has helped center him. He has no weapons to attack with and wouldn't even know how to use them if he did so he doesn't have many options. He can mainly chose which direction he tries to flee. In this case he's attempting to fly down the hallway away from the possessed human rather than up near the ceiling.]

[This was turning into far more trouble than it was worth for such a small prize. One more attempt to catch it or knock it out so an eight ball could try to take hold before she'd give up and move onto her next target. Their time was limited, the last thing the eight ball wanted to do was waste it. She'd watched, banking on the idea that the creature would go up rather than down the hall - a mistake that could give Nageki a chance to escape if he moved quickly.]

[Nageki seizes the opportunity and keeps moving. He needs to get away and find someplace safe.]
