Summary: Let's go to this creepy tavern and ask for some directions! A log for staying nice and dry inside.
The Story:




For the duration of the event, the mansion has become a dingy tavern. It has two floors, the bottom being the main tavern and the upper floor has six bedrooms with one bed and one magic closet in each room for everyone to fight over, unless they don't mind sleeping on the floor or in the tavern somewhere. With the amount of people in Wonderland, everyone is cramped together and it will be very crowded. The closets will work, however they will only provide clothing and items from time periods long gone (though they do not seem to be bound to any particular time period). There are no employees to be found in the Tavern, but there's a working kitchen with a wood fire stove and enough food and drink for everyone to last the entire event comfortably. There's even a stage with musical instruments to entertain yourselves with! There's no electricity, but plenty of candles and lanterns around.

For the entire length of the event, it will be dark outside. In addition to the never-ending night, it will pour for four days straight, and it will all seem rather ominous once it becomes apparent the sun isn't coming out. Pretty much all signs will suggest that everyone should stay in the tavern and eat, drink, and be merry with their stupid new names. But it really is tight quarters, and some might be curious to see what else is out there. Maybe there's another place to stay out there, or something. Maybe the Beast Alice spoke of is out there.

[The Banchou spends most of his time in the kitchen, since he might as well work in here while they're all stuck here. He's learned the hard way that wandering off in Wonderland can be deadly, so he's got no intention of exploring outside.

So he was there when the Mad Scientist came looking for something to put her samples in, and he's curious now to see if her science is making any progress. He goes looking for her and it's probably not difficult to find her in a relatively small place. She doesn't look too busy, so he approaches.]

How's the science going?

Hmmph. Sub-optimally.

[She prefers when she has real beakers and actual equipment.]

But what can you expect? The physics of this place elude me at every turn!

It must be frustrating.

[He's certainly noticed the annoying and baffling changes Wonderland goes through, but he imagines it's worse for someone who's work is to explain things using a much more concrete set of rules.]

Is there anything I can help with?

[He'd probably get in the way more than anything else, but it can't hurt to offer.]

Do you have some method to ensure samples don't vanish when this place goes back to normal?

If you can keep them on your person, they'll usually stay with you. It's not for sure, but it's better than nothing.

Hmm. [She slips one of the glasses into her pocket.] This isn't gonna be very comfortable. But sometimes you need to suffer for science.

Maybe we can find some bottles we can cork. That might be a little easier.

[She wouldn't risk lose parts of her samples in her pockets at least.]

Yes... people do seem to be making their way through the alcohol. I bet I can take one of those empty bottles.

I'll collect a few and wash them out for you. [Can't let anything contaminate the samples.]

[She gives him a nod.] Thank you, that's kind of you. Hopefully it'll be enough to preserve the samples.

Yeah. With bottles we should at least be able to cork them so there's less chance of losing any of the contents.
