Summary: Indiana Jones Movie Night
The Story:



The first thing people will notice when walking up to the theater, is the entrance that looks like it has been turned into a cave. Upon entering they will see that the theater has been transformed into something out of an archaeological dig. They will see the obvious screen on the back wall, but the seating is surrounded by scaffolding and wooden crates of various shapes and sizes. In front of the first row of seating is a fire pit made out of skulls. Don't worry though, its magic fire, it won't burn if touched and it won't set the whole theater ablaze.

If you stray over to the refreshments table, you won't be disappointed. Darcy and Billy have gone all out. Snake themed desserts are all the rage.

The movie starts late, giving people ample time to show up, grab food and find a seat. All four movies will be shown for whoever wants to sit through all of them or just watch their favorites.

He couldn't really believe it had been a year since the last movie night he threw. It certainly didn't feel like a year, which was sort of worrying if time was flying and he wasn't noticing anymore. But none of that was what he was going to focus on tonight, tonight he was going to watch movies and stuff his face and enjoy the company of his friends.

He could be counted on to be spending some time at the refreshments table between movies, even if that "monkey brain" jello shots are sort of making him rethink the whole jello shot idea as a whole. Still he will probably down a few if encouraged, all the while making a face about it.

He's usually a good viewing partner, he doesn't talk much or too loudly when he does, but he can't help make some comments or just recite favorite lines. Or even give some random fun fact because he's a nerd and of course he knows all the fun facts.

Billy will be staying for all four movies, even if he might be falling asleep by the end.

Elena might be noticing that Billy is dangerously close to dozing off. It's why she lowers herself down next to him and covers them both with the same blanket in the process. She's a sharer that way, and besides: no one likes a cuddle session more than Elena Gilbert.

She burrows her head into the pillow beside his and sighs. "I can't believe I forgot how hot he is."

Because Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones? Hot. Harrison Ford in general? Hot.

Billy blinks himself awake when he feels someone settle down next to him. He wasn't reeeally sleeping, just resting his eyes. He smiles when he sees it's Elena and he shift over so their sides are pressed together. Billy would never pass up a movie cuddle.

He laughs softly. "I know. It always startled me when I watch this or Star Wars cuz he looks so young, and so hot. It's not fair really."

"Faces like that are never fair," Elena says with a small smirk.

She brings the quilt up to her chin, half-ducking into it. Random fact about Elena Gilbert no one really asked for: she tends to run cold easily. It's why Damon keeps socks for her on his bedside table, lest her icicle feet wake him up in the middle of the night.

"I was thinking about the last time you did this," she adds, her voice soft. "I can't believe that was a year ago."

"But at least we get to look at them." He points out eyes shifting back to the movie for a moment.

"I know. I didn't realize it had been that long. Usually I try to do something like this twice a year but, I guess time got away from me." Which is unsettling. Does that mean he's getting used to wonderland? Comfortable there? He rarely thinks about going home these days.

The last time Henry went to a movie night, there were holographic dinosaurs and it was awesome. But this? Thi is really cool from the instant he walks in. He grins with delight and immediately makes his way to the snacks because what's a movie viewing without them? He has a plan, and that plan is to watch every single movie without falling asleep or leaving earlier. He's gonna need caffeine and sugar.

Once he finds a spot, he's really inviting of anyone who might want to sit next to him, and of course, he's near the fire skull pit because it's really damn cool.

[Dorian's clearly dressed for the occasion, looking like he just got back from the Adventurers Club. All in good fun, though.]

[ Henry grins and shakes his head. ]

Nope, just waiting for a friend, new or already existing. Have you ever seen any of these movies?

[Dorian smirks and takes his seat.]

No, actually. I haven't seen any of these at all. I do hope I haven't missed the first...

Iris West is not going to turn down an opportunity to watch Harrison Ford chase after skulls and punch nazis.

One must always punch nazis.

For a proper movie experience, however, one must also have popcorn. You can't just go to a movie theater and not order popcorn. And a box of peanut butter m&ms. And maybe a soft pretzel, if there's room for it once all is said and done. What all of this means is: Iris is by the wet bar, filling up her tub of popcorn. She might be delaying the line a bit as she mans the butter dispenser. She likes hot butter on her popcorn, okay.

"I'll be done soon," she promises to whoever is behind her. True to her word, Iris shuffles along, grabs a soda, and then finds herself a comfortable couch to plop into. She surrounds herself with blankets and throw pillows, looking as comfy as can be.

Anyone, absolutely anyone, is free to join her.

"You might want to leave some butter for the rest of us movie goers. Its the only way to properly eat popcorn at a movie." Nate's voice is teasing as he waits behind her, his own tub of popcorn in hand. He doesn't really know many people in Wonderland yet, but he's naturally friendly and the teasing just kind of rolls off his tongue.

Iris glances back, following the sound of Nate's voice.

A smirk is quick to curve on her lips. Iris has a funny bone, and she's never too serious to keep from poking fun at herself; it makes her good at banter. "It's a dog-eat-dog world," she tells Nate with a feigned sort of gravity. "First come, first serve. A law of the popcorn jungle."

The jungle metaphor seems particularly relevant, considering the movies they're about to watch.

Nate grins at her. "I wasn't aware that it was survival of the fittest just for popcorn butter. I would have come prepared for a fight." He holds up his bucket of popcorn as if brandishing a weapon.

No way is Cisco not showing up to a movie night. It's sort of his jam. Plus, he'd met the guy setting it up, and he seemed pretty cool so he felt like he needed to drop by.

What he didn't know to expect was one Iris West also showing up. On second thought, he's not sure why he's surprised. Once he spots her, he grins and wanders on over to drop down on the couch next to her. "Fancy seeing you here," he says, not even asking before nabbing a handful of her popcorn.

Iris wouldn't share her popcorn with just anybody.

But Cisco isn't just anybody. It's why she lifts up the tub in his direction, so he can feel free to grab a handful. "The siren song of intrepid archeologists with bullwhips was just too strong for me to resist," Iris answers with a cheeky grin. "What about you? What did you in?"

He is glad to know he's in her trusted circle of allowed popcorn thieves.

"Girl, don't play. You know this is my jam." He smirks. "You know, me and Indy, we go way back." He nods a little and shrugs one shoulder. "Plus, I met Billy when he was messing with some of the tech stuff in here, he's a pretty cool dude. Even if he did scare the hell outta me and make me think a raptor was about to eat my face for a second." He laughs abruptly at the memory. "That hologram stuff is awesome, have you seen that?!"

Henry absolutely has no issues with super buttery popcorn. "Actually, I have a trick for getting the best ratio of butter to popcorn all the way through the bag." Because inevitably you get popcorn at the bottom that's not buttery at all. He has an extra straw and holds it up. "I can show you if you want. Because popcorn needs butter."

Henry Daniel, you are speaking this woman's language.

Her eyebrows climb upward with unhidden interest, amusement flooding her features as she looks to Henry. "No kidding?" she asks, eyeing the straw before her gaze lifts back up to him. "All right, fellow popcorn aficionado. I'm all ears."

Putting the straw in the middle of his popcorn, he lines the end of it up with the end of the butter dispenser and then pumps, watching liquid gold run right into the center of his popcorn. Then he merely shifts the straw and keeps pumping, ending the whole process by removing the straw, adding some butter on top, and grinning.

"There you go. Butter spread evenly through the entire bag."

Only Stefan Salvatore would bring a thermos of tea to a movie marathon. In hindsight, it's an odd decision given that it's a movie theater (and who really sneaks in their own tea?) - but he doesn't seem to care as he enters the theater and gestures towards the empty space near her.

"Mind if I join you?" He holds up a bag full of peanut butter M&M's too, fully intent on sharing. "These things tend to be more fun with company."

"Sure," Iris answers with an easy smile, scooting on over to the side. "There isn't much I wouldn't do for chocolate."

Okay, so that's an exaggeration. But Iris really loves chocolate. Mint chocolate, especially.

It's okay, Stefan. You will learn the ways of the West™. And because she doesn't assume that everyone is from a similar world than hers: "Are you here as a fan or is it your first time seeing these movies?"

"Perfect." Stefan sits down beside her, careful to settle in before he reaches over for the thermos and M&M's. As a gentleman should, he holds the bag out, fully intent on sharing some before he grabs a handful of his own.

At Iris's question, his smile turns a little strained. "A bit of both. I'm fairly certain I've seen all of them, but I'm amnesiac, so... it's like watching it for the very first time."

Sometimes, it's a blessing, but others, it's a constant reminder that white noise and static will greet him no matter where he goes.

Nora | OTA

The film is set over two hundred years before she was born, but it seems quite familiar to Nora, giving the same sort of atmosphere as the comics and radio serials she enjoyed. She takes a seat in the middle of the theatre, a piece of the snake cake balanced on a plate on her lap, quickly finding herself engrossed by the adventures of Dr Jones. Depending on your disposition she's either a great person to watch movies with or a terrible one, as she's constantly turning to the people nearby to comment on what's going on, as well as laughing loudly or gasping in tense moments.

Sarah's hanging out with Kurt tonight, so Jane decides to check out the movies. Maybe not all of them, but at least one. She's never seen a ton of movies, not that she remembers, so she's actually pretty good company to talk things over with. She actually winds up sitting next to Nora and at one point whispers loudly enough that Nora might hear her.

"How does his hat stay on?"

Nora chuckles a little at the question. She's pretty sure it's one that never even occurred to the makers of the film to have to explain.

"Laws of gravity must not apply when you're the main character."
