His first reaction on the touch, sadly, was to look down on her hands to make sure they're unarmed. He doesn't care whether it's right or wrong to react that way, he doesn't trust her in the first place. He doesn't... and yet. Her softly uttered words make his eyes warm, squeezing out more tears out of the glands. They trickle unceremoniously, soaking the ground below them like raindrops. ]
Dammit... What do you... know...
[ His voice trembles following his chin. He can't seem to stop his tears, even if he tries his best to. His knuckles on his sides turn white from the sheer power he puts into them, biting his lower lip does nothing but spread the iron taste within.
The memory goes on even as they're not watching. Young Mondo and his big brother are almost done burying Chuck in their garden, and that should be the end of the memory ー possibly when they can finally wake up. ]
