While You Were Tearing A Hole Inside Of Me, I Was Taking Control; Open
Who: Wynonna Earp and YOU
Where: various places among the mansion
When: all during the event + the rest of July
Rating: PG-13? I'll change if it goes worse
Summary: Wynonna tries out some ability disks for fun and profit. Pick a scenario and have fun with her. Prose or Actionspam welcome. Also other threads for the month will be in here too.
The Story:
a. the training room
The first disc Wynonna puts in is one labeled "super strength" and she wanted to test it out properly -- which means she can be found lifting up some of the equipment and putting it back down after, just because she can. She can also be found punching sandbags and sending them flying into the wall with the strength of her punch. It's pretty badass, honestly. And if anyone else with powers is around she might be challenging them to a sparring match to see how she can hold her own against them.
Come on. Let her have a little fun.
b. the beach
The second disc she tries is one labeled fire abilities. She's glathered some wood and other materials and is trying to start an impromptu bonfire but here's the problem -- once she starts the fire she doesn't really know how to control it and it is quickly becoming quite unwieldly and dangerous if someone doesn't intervene and help her control it.
Please help her, someone.
c. damon's bar
After the incident with the fire she's feeling a little more cautious about things. She can be found sitting behind the bar like she often is, holding a disc that she seems to be considering deep in thought. The power listed on this one is magnetism -- an ability that reminds her of Bobo Del Rey and a lot of the unpleasant memories she has of his particular power causing problems for them back in Purgatory. She's almost curious to try it just to see what it feels like -- but she's not so certain. She might need some encouragement.
d. if none of this works/you want to do something else, shoot me a pm and we can work it out!

[date is also...a strong word as mostly she had a lot of one night stands and flings, though there were a few questionable boyfriends thrown in there as well.]
We are. Though, if you ever tell him I said that, I'll have to kill you -- he will never let me live it down.
[it's said in jest, mostly. doc could be a bit of an ass sometimes, but so could she. it's part of why they get along as well as they do.]
no subject
Rest assured, Wynonna, that your confession is safe and secure with me. [ ... ] I think we can avoid any death by retribution.
no subject
Good, I prefer not to kill the people I care about, when I can help it.
[of course, a lot of the time back home it's been out of her control, but that's neither here or there.]

...and the drinker-bartender relationship didn't hurt their chances, either, to be fair. wynonna's bar is, after all, the nearest thing she's got to a local pub. ]
Funny. [ only it really isn't funny at all. ] You and I are in agreement on that front. [ ahem! ] Do the people you care about get plus-ones to the eventual event? Once a date is decided, of course.
[ no rush, as above advised. ]
no subject
and yeah, taking over the bar probably didn't hurt. peggy is one of her regulars, and it was nice to keep up those relationships.]
Of course -- I mean I don't see why not.
[she has no reason to object to people bringing a date -- and more importantly:]
Do you have someone you're hoping to bring?
no subject
but wynonna's answer gives her a small smile. ]
I do have someone in mind. [ ... ] Potentially.
no subject
Oh? [wynonna grins at that, raising a curious brow.] I didn't realize you were seeing someone.
no subject
[ a self-deprecating glance before peggy reinvests her attention in the whiskey. ]
The circumstances -- well, they sneaked up on me. I suppose. It hasn't exactly been a public courtship.
[ or a courtship at all, really. not by any standard definition. she reads the irony into the word -- almost with a smirk. ]
no subject
[courtship is not a word wynonna generally uses, but it is one she is familiar with due to dating someone from an older time period.]
But I'm guessing things have changed now and it's more public? Or is there more to the story than that?
no subject
then their hearts got hold of just a bit of momentum. and here she is, grimace-smiling her way through the truth. ]
Wonderland found a way to force a definition upon us. So to speak. [ what a romantic way to say it! ] But it's safe to say that if he and I are both still here when you tie the knot? I'll be sure to have him on my arm.
[ she hasn't said the name, of course. that's not by accident. she's not certain whether she's ready to be so cavalier with it. ]
no subject
[like that first event they shared in alexanderia, or when she almost died in tartarus, or when they were forced to speak the truth and they admitted they were essentially living together already.]
Will I get to know his name then or am I going to have to guess at my own wedding?
no subject
Rip Hunter. [ she taps a knuckle against the glass. ] We were only just talking about him a moment ago. Ray Palmer's friend, and the one who officiated his wedding.
no subject
I remember -- my short term memory isn't that bad. He must be a good guy if he's held your attention this long.
[peggy seems to have a good head on her shoulders, she can't imagine her engaging with a man long term who wasn't worth it, even if it initially started out as a more fuck buddies situation.]
no subject
she drinks. ]
He's held it since the day we met. [ her attention, that is. ] In one capacity or another. You don't quickly forget a fellow who pulls a gun on you, at any rate.
no subject
[he also mistook her for a prostitute which had been annoying at the time but still not enough to stop wynonna from propositioning him later on...]
Asshole still likes doing that, just to prove he can.
no subject
she only smiles. ]
I hope that means you've only gotten better at thwarting him.

[her life with doc was many things, but she thinks it's safe to say neither one of them would ever claim it's boring.]
no subject

[ the giant taco said it all, really, that day at the carnival. doc would do anything for this woman. ]
no subject
Honestly, there's probably very little he wouldn't let me get away with. It's a dangerous sort of power.
no subject
I think I've heard quite enough about that, thank you.
[ there's a glint of something devilish in her, at least. she's not all frowns and hard work. ]
no subject
[wynonna, despite what one can think, can take a hint sometimes. if she likes the person enough to, anyway. and she does like peggy. so she lets the subject drop and the two women can continue drinking in each other's company.
/scene.]
