It takes a moment for her to grasp what he's asking of her, and understanding crosses her face soon after. She pauses for a moment, one hand coming up to rest against the back of her neck as she considers. Releasing her magic into the world sounds like a dangerous affair, but she also knows how much Kol loves magic.]

Only to you. You don't give it to anyone else.

[The moment that passes as she sorts out exactly what he's saying feels like entirely too long. And her relenting feels like a breath he didn't know he was holding being released.]

Oh, come on, sister. I'm far too selfish for that. [He smiles a little.] I promise...m'not giving it to anyone.

[She nods again, before glancing up to the ceiling, as though she'd be able to see the slot in her forehead, before moving over to one of the mirrors and pushing the covering up for a moment so she can see.]

This is by far one of the strangest things the mansion has done in my short experience.

It's definitely bizarre. [He admits with a nod, watching her for a moment.] Come on, sister. No stalling, yeah? [He's completely unapologetically impatient, here, Freya.]

[She gives him a bit of a look through her reflection, before doing as requested, ejecting the disk and turning to hand it to him.]

[In short order, he does the same, accepting her own disk as he hands his to her, to do whatever she wished with. He slips the disk into the slot and waits. It seems almost instant, the loss of his own and replacement of her powers. He feels it, that long-lost sensation of magic practically swimming in his veins. He stares at his own hands for a moment, flexing his fingers before he slowly turns his attention back to his sister, an absolutely giddy grin on his face.]

[He knows it's temporary, and it'll be awful to have it disappear all over again whenever she takes it back or the Event is over, whichever thing comes first. But knowing that she chose to give it to him, when it was in her power to do so goes a very long way with him.]

[deathlessness]

[She takes his disk and slips it in, doing her own part to keep things safe, but she notices the vacancy more than she'd care to admit. She'd been without magic during AU events before, but then she hadn't been fully aware of what she was missing.

This time she is.]

Just use it wisely. Our family already has enough of a reputation in these halls.

I will, I promise. [And at another time, he might feel the need to push her for more on that second comment. As unsurprising as it is, it's still curiosity-making, and he might ask later. But for now, it's inconsequential in the light of everything.]

Good.

[She cracks her neck for a moment, settling a bit into her new abilities, before glancing back to him with a smirk.]

While you have some fun with magic, I think I'll test out this healing factor.
