Summary: Palaces! This log is for Palace Rulers to post descriptions of their palaces, and for unaffected characters to wander in and out of them.
The Story:

Palace rulers: These are the characters who experience the bout of lightheadedness and spontaneously manifest a Palace starting at noon on 8/24. As soon as the palace forms, the character is essentially sucked into their Palace and made to play the part of the ruler.

These characters will forget they were ever in Wonderland or indeed had any other life outside of their Palace. If Character A's Palace took the form of her living her dream as a world-famous surfer where the oceans are made of cotton candy, she would always believe she'd been a surfer and that oceans have always been made of cotton candy. Any characters who entered her Palace would merely seem like visitors or intruders to the beach. Maybe they're surf fans, too?

It is possible to "wake" a Person from their Palace if one were to kill them (easy mode... if a bit violent) or make them see it's merely a mental construct (hard mode). If a person were to die inside their Palace, however, it would count as a mansion death. There are no real ways to "unmake" these Palaces other than to snap the person out of it or wait for them to run their course.

Palaces are tied to locations that characters frequent or find special meaning in. They do not outwardly change the appearance of the mansion--the clinic will still look like the clinic on the outside, but crossing inside takes you into the mental landscape of that affected character, and it may look however that player chooses it to.

Unaffected characters: Congratulations, you get to explore other characters’ inner world by visiting their Palaces! There is also a chance of danger should a character enter into a Palace whose ruler is likely to see them as a threat. Should Character A as described above not want a person there, sharks on legs might rise from the ocean and attempt to chase them off. (Sorry about that.)

However, there will always be a way to escape a Palace should you need to. There will always be a door leading back to the normal mansion, though no one else in the Palace will be able to see it aside from the unaffected character. If you entered the clinic and it's a barren hellscape, the clinic door will take you back out. Yay!

It is also possible for characters to see cognitive clones of themselves inside someone else's Palace if that person has a mental image of them. How these cognitive versions behave is, however, entirely up to the Palace ruler, whether realistic or not.

[Mikan initially hesitates... she would hate for someone to read her journals... But if Ryoko really wanted these hidden, the door would be locked, right?]

I wonder...

[Curiosity gets the best of her, and she takes one, opening it.]

[And inside the book is...a hidden Monokuma! Congratulations Mikan, surely that trophy will unlock soon!

...okay, no, that's not what's in there. What's in there is Ryoko's notes...but none of them pertain to Wonderland. And a giant section seems to have been torn out in the front. This is probably representative of something inside her head, but the actual notes themselves might be of more interest? Except they're kind of all over the place. Or look that way anyways, stating jumbled things like “Sleepy was a dwarf,” “please god drop a meteorite on this girl's head” and “this has nothing to do with me” repeated quite a few times. This probably makes no sense presented this way, but whatever the context this is probably had a huge effect on how Ryoko sees the world.

If Mikan's at a loss as to what to do next, she could always check the other notebooks or head to another room in the palace!]

[Mikan frowns, trying to make sense of it, but when she reads "this has nothing to do with me", she gives up and closes the book. She's heard that phrase plenty before from Ryoko... and given Ryoko's mind, she probably won't be able to make sense of anything.

She'll put it back, and head out to try another room.]

I just want to make sure Ryoko is okay... then I'll leave...

[Mikan will find Ryoko in the neurology lab with basically the same setup described here. And much like with Ishimaru, Ryoko gives her the same confused stare because.]

Who are you?

[Why are there so many people wandering in here today? According to her notes, her treatments usually aren't interrupted by anyone, so this is definitely out of the ordinary.]

[Aside from the surroundings, it's business as usual.]

Oh, thank goodness! I was worried, and wanted to know if you were all right.

[... actually, let's take a look at those surroundings again.]

... Are you all right?

Am I all right?

[She thinks so, but she's not sure so she asks Matsuda, who decides to respond in his usual surly manner.]

No, moving during the procedure turned you into some hideous fly monster. Now buzz off.

[For the record, that didn't happen and Ryoko doesn't appear to be some sort of fly monster.]

That didn't happen! And even if I did, I wouldn't be hideous, I'd be a cute bug!

[...oh wait, there's people in here besides her and Matsuda, aren't there? So she can't argue back and forth with him all day. And while she's pretty sure this girl has nothing to do with her, she'll answer before she forgets.]

Um, I think so, is there some reason I wouldn't be all right?

[She blinks at Matsuda. W-what a rude guy!]

I... well, I didn't recognize the equipment you're attached to.

[Though with her nursing, she has a better guess than most people. Definitely has to be related to her brain.]

... Who's this?

[Gestures at Rude Guy.]

This is Yasuke Matsuda, the Super High School Level neurologist. And the machine I'm hooked up to is um...

[She'll read her notes for a moment because she's not really sure how to explain.]

...it's part of my treatment, I guess? Apparently it's an experimental prototype that he's not going to bother explaining every single time to someone who'll just forget it anyways.

Oh. That makes sense.

[Not the way she'd put it, but it's rather accurate. She still bows to Matsuda, one must be polite.]

Thank you for taking care of her. I came here to make sure she was okay, and it looks like she's in good hands.

It's a full time job. You have no idea how much of a handful she can be.

[Which just gets a laugh from Ryoko.]

My notes say he's always saying stuff like that, but I don't remember any of it.

Do your notes say if you two are good friends?

[Ah, this is fun, learning about her, since Ryoko is always such a puzzle.]

I think so. But let's see.

[Ryoko goes to see what her notes say and...]

Um, it says we're great friends. In fact um...he's my only friend. But that's okay! I'm not sad about it or anything. If I was, it'd be in here, right?

[She sounds so upbeat about it, having no idea that it's not actually true.]

[Would she really write down that she's sad about it...?]

Oh, well. Even so, I'm glad you two have each other.

[She'd mention she's a friend too, but given the strangeness of the event, she doubts it'll do much.]

[She probably would. She writes everything down.

...almost everything.]

I'm glad too, I don't know what I'd do without him.

[She laughs a little at that, while Matsuda is suddenly very interested in whatever's out the window because it means he doesn't have to respond to that.]
