+ Your Princess Is in another...Palace +
Who: Everyone!
Where: All over Wonderland
When: Friday, 8/24 - Monday, 8/27
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Palaces! This log is for Palace Rulers to post descriptions of their palaces, and for unaffected characters to wander in and out of them.
The Story:
Palace rulers: These are the characters who experience the bout of lightheadedness and spontaneously manifest a Palace starting at noon on 8/24. As soon as the palace forms, the character is essentially sucked into their Palace and made to play the part of the ruler.
These characters will forget they were ever in Wonderland or indeed had any other life outside of their Palace. If Character A's Palace took the form of her living her dream as a world-famous surfer where the oceans are made of cotton candy, she would always believe she'd been a surfer and that oceans have always been made of cotton candy. Any characters who entered her Palace would merely seem like visitors or intruders to the beach. Maybe they're surf fans, too?
It is possible to "wake" a Person from their Palace if one were to kill them (easy mode... if a bit violent) or make them see it's merely a mental construct (hard mode). If a person were to die inside their Palace, however, it would count as a mansion death. There are no real ways to "unmake" these Palaces other than to snap the person out of it or wait for them to run their course.
Palaces are tied to locations that characters frequent or find special meaning in. They do not outwardly change the appearance of the mansion--the clinic will still look like the clinic on the outside, but crossing inside takes you into the mental landscape of that affected character, and it may look however that player chooses it to.
Unaffected characters: Congratulations, you get to explore other characters’ inner world by visiting their Palaces! There is also a chance of danger should a character enter into a Palace whose ruler is likely to see them as a threat. Should Character A as described above not want a person there, sharks on legs might rise from the ocean and attempt to chase them off. (Sorry about that.)
However, there will always be a way to escape a Palace should you need to. There will always be a door leading back to the normal mansion, though no one else in the Palace will be able to see it aside from the unaffected character. If you entered the clinic and it's a barren hellscape, the clinic door will take you back out. Yay!
It is also possible for characters to see cognitive clones of themselves inside someone else's Palace if that person has a mental image of them. How these cognitive versions behave is, however, entirely up to the Palace ruler, whether realistic or not.
See the Bulletin Board for details on the event. You can also go to the plotting post to see what everyone else is doing!

You live next door to me...and you've met Matsuda? Um...
[She's not sure if that's right and looks over to her neurologist because if this is the case, surely he'd be able to shed some light on this. But no, he just shakes his head in confusion.]
I've never met this guy before in my life.
[And outside the murmurs grow even louder.]
no subject
Not that this likely is, either.]
Yeah, thought you'd say that. I should be in one of your notebooks, Ryoko.
no subject
[She checked to make sure, flipping through her notes rapidly, but yeah no. She'd notice a sketch of him. Because she'd definitely make one.]
But I have other notebooks in my room, maybe you're in those?
[Or maybe he's not. Maybe the only place Ryoko has seen him is in a manga volume she doesn't remember reading? Who knows?]
no subject
Is there anything about... Wonderland in there, Ryoko?
no subject
[She'll check her notes while Matsuda says nothing because no one has time for SHSL students that don't even have voice actors.]
Um...like Alice? In the Disney movie? Oh, and the book?
[Why that's in her notes is beyond her, but that's all she's got on it.]
no subject
[There should definitely be more in there, so whatever Wonderland's doing to her right now is affecting more than just her.]
... Ryoko, where are we?
no subject
[Hang on, she's got a few maps to check here.]
Which is in the Eastern Quarter of Hope's Peak Academy.
no subject
So this is where Matsuda treats you?
no subject
[So important that she's the only one in here, even back home. Maybe she's his only patient? No, that doesn't make sense, so her brain'll throw that thought away.]
no subject
[Which probably doesn't make any sense to Ryoko right now.]
...If I asked you to take a walk with me, what would you say, Ryoko?
[Maybe he can get her out of here.]
no subject
[Just in case he forgot Matsuda was here (because Ryoko probably did), he'll speak up.
And Ryoko just nods in agreement.]
Um, what Matsuda-kun said. I have to finish my treatment. Otherwise I'll forget.
[Forget more? Even with the treatments she forgets so it's kind of unclear.]
no subject
You sure about that? Doesn't really seem like her treatment's helping.
no subject
Matsuda-kun is trying his best and I'm sure I've made a lot of progress that I don't remember! It's just that my condition is really difficult!
[And outside the Reserves are probably throwing rocks at the windows by now.]
no subject
I'm sure he is. But shouldn't you have something to show for it? Even a little?
no subject
[Despite her earlier outburst, she's just kind of back to being confused again because if she has, she doesn't remember. And Matsuda's no help because he's just a construct of Ryoko's consciousness so it's not like he has any answers she doesn't.]
I'm sure I do, I just can't remember what I have to show for it.
no subject
If he's treating you, he should have some somewhere around here, right?
note to self, look for an angry icon for Ryoko at some point
That right...um, they should be. No, they definitely are!
it doesn't count if she's angry on matsuda's behalf bc he doesn't matter
Can I take a look around then? I'll stay out of the way while you finish your treatment.
no subject
[Except it's her palace, so yes it does, but she's not entirely aware of how all that works.]
no subject
[AND SO GOES THE GREAT NOTE HUNT???]
no subject
no subject
no subject
And like in the other thread, he's just kind of patrolling around like a poorly programmed Metal Gear Solidesque guard.]
no subject
Josuke isn't sure what to do so he's gonna. Try to sneak by.]
