Summary: Palaces! This log is for Palace Rulers to post descriptions of their palaces, and for unaffected characters to wander in and out of them.
The Story:

Palace rulers: These are the characters who experience the bout of lightheadedness and spontaneously manifest a Palace starting at noon on 8/24. As soon as the palace forms, the character is essentially sucked into their Palace and made to play the part of the ruler.

These characters will forget they were ever in Wonderland or indeed had any other life outside of their Palace. If Character A's Palace took the form of her living her dream as a world-famous surfer where the oceans are made of cotton candy, she would always believe she'd been a surfer and that oceans have always been made of cotton candy. Any characters who entered her Palace would merely seem like visitors or intruders to the beach. Maybe they're surf fans, too?

It is possible to "wake" a Person from their Palace if one were to kill them (easy mode... if a bit violent) or make them see it's merely a mental construct (hard mode). If a person were to die inside their Palace, however, it would count as a mansion death. There are no real ways to "unmake" these Palaces other than to snap the person out of it or wait for them to run their course.

Palaces are tied to locations that characters frequent or find special meaning in. They do not outwardly change the appearance of the mansion--the clinic will still look like the clinic on the outside, but crossing inside takes you into the mental landscape of that affected character, and it may look however that player chooses it to.

Unaffected characters: Congratulations, you get to explore other characters’ inner world by visiting their Palaces! There is also a chance of danger should a character enter into a Palace whose ruler is likely to see them as a threat. Should Character A as described above not want a person there, sharks on legs might rise from the ocean and attempt to chase them off. (Sorry about that.)

However, there will always be a way to escape a Palace should you need to. There will always be a door leading back to the normal mansion, though no one else in the Palace will be able to see it aside from the unaffected character. If you entered the clinic and it's a barren hellscape, the clinic door will take you back out. Yay!

It is also possible for characters to see cognitive clones of themselves inside someone else's Palace if that person has a mental image of them. How these cognitive versions behave is, however, entirely up to the Palace ruler, whether realistic or not.

I... am having trouble following what you mean, sir! [He responds somewhat nervously.] I do not mind leaving this place, but I just wish to leave with Ryoko Otonashi!

[His menacing tone seems to indicate this isn't up for debate. There's no real need to mention a matching expression because his expression looks pretty menacing to begin with.]

H-hold it right there! [Ishimaru stands his ground against that menacing being.] You do not get to decide that! Whatever is going on here, she needs to leave this place!

[testcase]

[Instead of answering, he'll just start that weird swaying motion again. And from behind Ishimaru, there's footsteps which will reveal a second (or maybe a different number) Madarai.]

[He blinks in confusion as the gentleman goes back to that swaying motion. Then, as he hears footsteps behind him, he assumes that it is Ryoko. ...Only to turn around and be startled by the seeing the same face again.]

Ack! H-how did you get there?!

[Shadow clone jutsu, probably.]

If you don't have anything to do with this case, you need to leave. Or else.

[And they'll just advance towards Ishimaru. Menacingly.]

[Yikes. Ishimaru just looks back and forth - there's two of them now?! But he also looks around for any sign of Ryoko.]

O...Otonashi-kun, where are you? We... we should get moving!

[If Ishimaru looks past that second Madarai, he'll see Ryoko through the neurology doors looking through her notebook like this has nothing to do with her. Meanwhile one of the Madarais, let's go with the one facing Ishimaru, goes to grab his shoulder, makes it easier to throw someone out of her if they can get a hold of them first.]

[Ishimaru tries to get Ryoko's attention! But then that brute tries to grab him. Ishimaru tries to push his arm away.]

Hold it right there! Unwanted physical contact is not permitted in these halls! You should be ashamed of yourself!

[testcase]

[He's not. And when Ishimaru tries to dodge, the other one will try and grab him too. Teamwork!]

This is a pain. There's a lot not permitted that goes on. Get over it.

[And the other Madarai does manage to grab him! Ishimaru proceeds to struggle and try to free himself.]

What- what are you going on about? ...This is supposed to be an exemplary hall of learning! Unhand me at once!

[Having acquired his target, he'll start dragging Ishimaru towards the end of the hall back towards the door he originally entered the palace from, with the other one following closely, and that's the one that actually answers instead of the one attempting to evict Ishimaru from Ryoko's palace.]

Doesn't matter what it's supposed to be. Until this case is solved, it's like this.

[What a drag! He'll protest and resist (in an orderly manner!) all the way back towards the door.]

I do not understand! What is this case that you speak of? I- I just wish to help Otonashi-kun!

[Don't expect too many plot details from Madarai, he's just here to boot intruders. Which would probably raise a few questions as to why this is Ryoko's palace defense system and not something more fitting, like Matsuda swooping in as her knight in shining armor or something.

Still fitting or not, he's got a pretty good grip on Ishimaru's uniform, while the other one steps ahead to open the door. But hey don't worry, there'll be some food for thought before Ishimaru gets thrown out of here. It's not much, but it's something at least. Which raises even further questions, but that's fine, the whole palace is basically the equivalent of this.]

Then don't get involved with her.

[And with that, he'll just attempt to chuck Ishimaru through the door and out of the palace.]

[It does indeed raise so many further questions! Ishimaru finds himself thrust out into the hallway of the mansion before he can even get any other words in. He looks at the door for a while with a defeated frown. He knows he can't just rush back in there... He'll need a plan, or something to try to figure this out. So he walks off sadly while trying to figure out what to do next.]
