Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us no more | OPEN

Who: E V E R Y O N E (Including our 4th wall guests!)
Where: Everywhere, one both Mirror and Real Side!
When: December 19th - December 26th (ICly December 25th) (WEEK TWO)
Rating: PG-13, warn if going higher
Summary: After a particularly intense week of holiday cheer and holiday scenes, Wonderland simply cannot take any more. The form it takes will no longer hold. Wonderland sheds its holiday skin and remains in the barest form of itself.
The Story:

As of the 19th, no one will be able to use the network to make posts. A new error message will appear on all screens, but again, it's probably fine.

This will quickly prove to be a problem though, as Wonderland has completely abandoned any sign of the signature mansion or its grounds. All of a sudden, it cannot hold itself together any more. At this point, Wonderland has become a series of holiday past, present, and future scenes instead of a collection of rooms, and none of them connect together in any sensical, linear way. If you find a friend wandering, you may want to stay with them. It will prove difficult to seek out people on purpose (though very easy to stumble across people by accident).

In between the various scenes, instead of the halls of the mansion, are one of three voids. Gravity does not seem to exist in them, and characters will float, swim, or spin around until they find a new scene to be in. There is no up or down, and no ground to stand on. Scenes are entered suddenly and without warning, going from floating along to suddenly standing in a memory or a vision (unless you have come from the second void). Characters can also find themselves traveling from void to void, but there is no precise place where they overlap, and if they turn around they will not be able to return to the void they were previously in. It is almost as though perhaps, the voids and the scenes are moving around, and that Wonderland no longer has a static form.

Wonderland will remain this way until the end of the event. What happens then? You'll have to wait and see. ♥ For now though, please enjoy the horrible voids that make up all of Wonderland at the moment. If you have any questions, please report to the plot post or check out our Fourth Wall Masterpost for all your other fourth wall needs!

I don't know! I'm not looking at it! [And Mabel having her eyes closed because you know what she can run into? Him.]

This is so bad. If it's not contained somewhere... Mabel, oh no.

What? [She doesn't open her eyes, though she is presently holding onto his head because she thought it was his torso.

And then they snap open, because oh crud. She knows what he means.]
If it sneaks up on somebody and they look at it and they can't just shut the door, what happens? Do they lose everything? Do they lose their eyes? Do they die instantly??

[SO!! MANY!! QUESTIONS!!]

Mabel, you're missing the worst part!

[He looks up at her anxiously, which lets him catch a glimpse behind them and... oh phew, it doesn't seem to have followed them. He stops and gently pries her off his head.]

If the Core isn't contained, then neither is the Jabberwock!

[Mabel sucks in a gasp so big that she manages to pull an errant strand of hair into her mouth. She spits it out and coughs.] What?! So it could be anywhere in this creepy void place?

"I'm not sure. I wish I knew more about how the Core and Wonderland in general worked."

He can't really pace nervously in this situation, but he awkwardly sort of walks in place as if he could.

"I mean, it can't be just contained by a door, I assume, so maybe it's still fine? I just don't know!"
powerofmabel: (☆ but she's won herself safe)

"Maybe it's like... inside the core, and it's just a big Katamari ball." Because Katamari has to exist in Gravity Falls, simply because I don't feel like coming up with a generic brand of something that expresses the nuance of 'Katamari ball.'

"...I dunno if it's that better actually. Instead of just losing memories we could get sucked in and be one with it. Yikes."
krmvgivv: (ask anyone who knows me)

"Yeah, pretty sure that's worse. I mean, the Red Queen got out, but...."

They aren't queens. Mabel might be a Congresswoman under Quentin Tremblay's dubious authority, but that doesn't mean much in Wonderland.

"We need to find a way to fix this." Someone does, anyway, and someone, all too often, is them.

"We need to find Alice." Mabel might be projecting her fears and concerns a bit here, but Alice already has so few memories as is and she doesn't want her anywhere near the floating Core. There's practicality in it- Alice is the White Queen's adviser and she was trying to figure out if anything was going wrong. She might know things.

But mostly, Mabel is full-on Bannerwoman mode.
krmvgivv: (but i meant well)

"How?" Dipper looks around, gesturing at the void. "She's hard enough to find when things are normal. They are not remotely normal now."
powerofmabel: (☆ if you want to break free)

"I have bannerwoman senses." That is not a thing, Mabel. "I know I can find her. We just have to believe in the power of our friendship."

They returned her eyes to her. That has to account for something, right? Also Mabel has watched a lot of cartoons and may not be basing this off Earth logic.
krmvgivv: (before i let it go)

"Uh... huh." Dipper doesn't really believe that, but it's not like they have anything better to do. "Okay, lead on then."
