Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us no more | OPEN
Who: E V E R Y O N E (Including our 4th wall guests!)
Where: Everywhere, one both Mirror and Real Side!
When: December 19th - December 26th (ICly December 25th) (WEEK TWO)
Rating: PG-13, warn if going higher
Summary: After a particularly intense week of holiday cheer and holiday scenes, Wonderland simply cannot take any more. The form it takes will no longer hold. Wonderland sheds its holiday skin and remains in the barest form of itself.
The Story:
As of the 19th, no one will be able to use the network to make posts. A new error message will appear on all screens, but again, it's probably fine.
This will quickly prove to be a problem though, as Wonderland has completely abandoned any sign of the signature mansion or its grounds. All of a sudden, it cannot hold itself together any more. At this point, Wonderland has become a series of holiday past, present, and future scenes instead of a collection of rooms, and none of them connect together in any sensical, linear way. If you find a friend wandering, you may want to stay with them. It will prove difficult to seek out people on purpose (though very easy to stumble across people by accident).
In between the various scenes, instead of the halls of the mansion, are one of three voids. Gravity does not seem to exist in them, and characters will float, swim, or spin around until they find a new scene to be in. There is no up or down, and no ground to stand on. Scenes are entered suddenly and without warning, going from floating along to suddenly standing in a memory or a vision (unless you have come from the second void). Characters can also find themselves traveling from void to void, but there is no precise place where they overlap, and if they turn around they will not be able to return to the void they were previously in. It is almost as though perhaps, the voids and the scenes are moving around, and that Wonderland no longer has a static form.
Wonderland will remain this way until the end of the event. What happens then? You'll have to wait and see. ♥ For now though, please enjoy the horrible voids that make up all of Wonderland at the moment. If you have any questions, please report to the plot post or check out our Fourth Wall Masterpost for all your other fourth wall needs!

THE WHITE VOID
The first void is a bright white void. If you need something while you are in this void and you can picture it in your mind's eye, that item will appear before you. It cannot change you physically but it can summon items – essentially, it behaves as though you are standing inside one of the magical closets of Wonderland, or sitting in one of the magic cupboards of the kitchen. It obeys the same rules as these closets, though it may be even more chaotic at the moment, considering how much magic Wonderland was using before it broke apart.
Georgia Mason | ota
It doesn't make sense, but the logical part of her brain trying desperately to point that out is drowned out by the panic from the rest of her. She curls herself into a ball and shuts her eyes beneath the sunglasses. Around her, a plethora of items from the CDC start to manifest as her mind feverishly calls them up, but she doesn't notice. Anyone trying to get to her must first pass through a sea of blood tests and needles, clipboards, lab coats, mysterious machines, chemicals, white pajamas, hospital trays with very bland food, mirrors, pills, bandages, tubes and bags of fluids, and perhaps worst of all, cloning tanks.
Georgia doesn't want to know if they contain another clone of her. Honestly she doesn't want to know anything right now except how to make it stop.]

Can you hear me?
[ he wishes he knew her name, but he doesn't have a database for everyone in wonderland the way he did for people in detroit, so he's going to just improvise here. ]
My name is Connor.
[ now that he's spoken and let her know his presence, he slowly reaches over to put his hand on her shoulder, to ground her in something physical instead of the panic clearly gripping her. ]

Kokichi Oma in the white void | OTA
[Just. What?
Kokichi just stares out into the void, and the void stares back. It's literal nothingness. Empty... Ish. Is that a person way out in the distance? He can't tell, so he tries to call the network...]
Oh, come on! More robot code?! He groans at the error on his phone. Drat! Where's Dipper-chan when you need him?
[He really wanted something that can translate binary real fast. So, he got one.
No, really, there's a laptop floating in front of him with a simple binary translator programmed into it. Useful... But Kokichi's getting ideas...
Soon enough, there's a sinister black vehicle parked somewhere in the void, in spite of there being no roads or parking spaces. Kokichi's keeping an eye on the tinted windows and mounted cameras as he works on stuff, so if he sees someone he recognizes pass by he's gonna roll the window down and poke his head out of it.]
Hey! Get in, loser, we're going exploring! [Says someone who doesn't have any formal driving experience. Who needs that when you're in a void?]

I WAS RIGHT! The simulation is falling apart. Hrrgh. [She pauses to adjust her position on the floating box.] Obviously, the White Clod interfered with the code too much. The system is overloading and we're all going to die.
[The last bit is said with a little edge of panic. Just a little. Death will be a horrible, horrible thing, but at least she gets to tell everyone that she was right ALL ALONG.]

Tweedledee and Tweedledum
None of this is very odd for them. What is odd is the way their voices sometimes seem to turn into static, or the fact that their features occasionally become pixelated and freeze, like watching a video on a computer that doesn't have a good enough video card.
But it's probably fine.]

ALICE
What she does know though, is that this is very, very bad. She didn't even see what happened! Everything was and then all of a sudden it wasn't anymore.
One thing that's very noticeable is that unlike the other Wonderland residents such as the Dormouse and the Tweedles, Alice does not appear to be glitching in any way. She's just herself, as she always was, though perhaps a bit more lost. She can't navigate the world in quite the same way.]
Come on Alice, you can do it...poof! ...Poof? ...Poof!
[She can keep saying it all she likes, but she isn't going anywhere this time. Her form is still there and she's still clearly Alice, but whatever magic that allowed her to teleport seems to have vanished.]
...This really isn't good.

THE GREY VOID
The second void is a grey void with swirling bits of fog. It will be easier for characters to spot each other here as spots of bright color in a dark gray world, but the fog also carries muted bits of color. The fog does not stay put and is constantly in motion, but if characters look into the fog they will be able to see scenes playing out, and any other characters who may already be visiting that scene. The second void allows characters to spy and to examine scenes before they cross through to investigate, and to see the lines between the voids and the scenes.
Occasionally, there will be a bright white light in parts of the grey void. People who come across this light should stay away from it. The light is warm and full of life, but if anyone comes within ten feet of this light, it will steal a memory from them permanently. This light moves around the grey void like a tumbleweed, but will not appear in any others. Best to get out of its way if you know what's good for you - which you might not after too many encounters.

Honestly, it's just Molly's bitter theory on the whole subject, because he can't explain it any other way, and thinking it's death just gives him an excuse not to think too hard about it and watch things play out. He pokes his head through various scenes and doesn't linger too long once he sees they're someone else's memories (he thinks) that have no relation to him- no thank you. For the most part he's hovering and being a jolly purple nuisance, greeting all comers as they step into his patch of void that he's just hovering in (and avoiding that bright light- that's a trap if he's ever seen one).
Eventually, he does come across a scene that has people he recognizes, and he can't help but watch it. It's all of his friends (and one very unfamiliar pink-haired firbolg) gathered around a table at an alehouse exchanging gifts while snow falls outside. They're all so happy. It's a warmth that makes his chest ache, because gods he misses them so much.
There's only one problem, and that problem grips his heart and makes him swallow bile that rises in his throat.
He isn't there.]

Muddle through muddle through muddle through somehow?
[She looks around. Well...she guesses that floating through a weird foggy void is "muddling through." But that's not really good enough for her. There's so much more to this, she's certain. She's got...theories.]
I wonder if the place got some kind of virus. Oh, wouldn't that be amazing? [She looks absolutely delighted by the idea.] If I could just get this network to work, I could hack in and...
[She keeps rambling for a minute, fiddling with the device in her hair before taking out a screwdriver from one of her pockets. She's going to open the thing up right here in the fog because science waits for no one.]

Then his eyes catch a familiar bright light and they widen.]

Louis | OTA
He wasn't figuring on coming across a scene that would throw a wrench into all of that. He's younger in it, around eleven or so. He and a boy of the same age- with what looks like a blonde mullet- are wandering through a West Virginian woods, dragging a bedraggled looking tree along between them- a thick snowfall making the job considerably more harder. They joke and laugh, only dropping their precious cargo once- Louis bouncing through the snow with his makeshift mace, whacking in the skull of what at first glace looks like a person- but anyone who's even dimly aware of them would recognise as a zombie. Louis bounces back, seemingly nonplussed by what just happened, picking up his part of the tree and continuing to trudge, chattering happily with the other boy.
Seventeen year old Louis keeps heading back into this scene- where he stands in the snow (it comes much less higher on his legs than it used to, he dimly realises) his arms hugged around himself- watching. He knows he should move on, that eventually he's going to have to find a way out of here, find Clem, find Michonne, find his friends. But yet, he can't tear himself away- he sometimes heads back into the grey void, but as soon as he comes across the scene again, he hops back in to watch. If people spot him in his scene or in the void, they'll find him uncharacteristically quiet, he barely notices anyone at all, unless they're close- and even then all they get by way of greeting is a meek "hi" before he goes back to what he's doing. ]

THE BLACK VOID
The third void is a black void speckled with lights that look like they might be far off stars. At first that might seem soothing, but anyone who lingers too long in this void will soon be filled with dread and fear. This void comes with an overwhelming feeling that something is coming for them and it only grows the longer they're there. If they stay too long in this void without tripping on another scene or void, they might become so afraid that they start to see or hear things that aren't there, or panic at those around them. Hallucinations run rampant in this void, and even the strongest of wills will be unsettled by the black void in time.

And then Soos peeks over his shoulder in his rush to get away a tenth or twentieth time and he's...gone? Just. Gone. Like he wasn't there in the first place. Soos stops swimming, panting hard as he turns in a circle, just to be sure that that weird dog dude isn't--]

For a bit, the black void had been relaxing. It reminded him a little of the beginning. Things had been so much simpler, and then the rest of, well, existence happened.
It was almost nice here, up until it wasn't. He wasn't quite sure how long he'd been here when it started to get to him. What if he was here forever? What if he'd fallen into some pocket of reality where he never saw his friends again?
Worse, what if he wasn't alone?
Ever since he'd contemplated the possibility of his own mortality he hadn't quite been able to forget about it. There was something here, he was sure of it. This was bad. This was very very bad.
And by now he's a literal ball of anxiety. He's curled up, trying not to panic, try to ignore the fact that he's starting to hear things...]

Marlon | The Walking Dead Game | OTA
[ Marlon awoke knowing little else other than the soundless memories of something hot hitting the back of his head and the touch of rainfall from the storm that quickly took over the school. To say this place is odd is an understatement. Without a friend or any sort of familiar face in sight, he was more confused than scared this time.
Years of surviving a world with undead quickly taught him to never give away his position…and acknowledge the fact that being unarmed made it all the more worse.
As soon as he gathered his bearings, he began to wander as if he was a ghost. Though the new area was unfamiliar, it was difficult for the teen to focus when all he could imagine were the looks on everyone’s face once the secret was out. Marlon’s steps didn’t take him too far, for the weight on his chest began to feel almost literal as he couldn’t do more than clench his fist without anything in front of him to hit.
When Marlon shut his eyes as if to will the feeling away, his body began to shake as all he could picture was his last sight of Brody’s face before panic took him over completely. ]

HOLIDAY SCENES
A Ghost of Christmas Past
Wait, what?
A woman comes into the room and leans against the doorframe, smiling tolerantly, though her expression is aimed at a nearby camera, and not at the boy. "Shaun, put that away, it's almost dinner time."
Another ten year old comes into the room, a scowl on her face and a book in her hand. "I still don't think it's fair that he got a crossbow and I got a pile of books."
"You love to read, sweetie." The woman's smile is again aimed not at her children, but at the cameras around the living room. There are several. "And it's a history of journalism."
"And it's not as cool as a crossbow." The girl's scowl deepens. "And can we turn off the damn cameras already?"
