Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us no more | OPEN
Who: E V E R Y O N E (Including our 4th wall guests!)
Where: Everywhere, one both Mirror and Real Side!
When: December 19th - December 26th (ICly December 25th) (WEEK TWO)
Rating: PG-13, warn if going higher
Summary: After a particularly intense week of holiday cheer and holiday scenes, Wonderland simply cannot take any more. The form it takes will no longer hold. Wonderland sheds its holiday skin and remains in the barest form of itself.
The Story:
As of the 19th, no one will be able to use the network to make posts. A new error message will appear on all screens, but again, it's probably fine.
This will quickly prove to be a problem though, as Wonderland has completely abandoned any sign of the signature mansion or its grounds. All of a sudden, it cannot hold itself together any more. At this point, Wonderland has become a series of holiday past, present, and future scenes instead of a collection of rooms, and none of them connect together in any sensical, linear way. If you find a friend wandering, you may want to stay with them. It will prove difficult to seek out people on purpose (though very easy to stumble across people by accident).
In between the various scenes, instead of the halls of the mansion, are one of three voids. Gravity does not seem to exist in them, and characters will float, swim, or spin around until they find a new scene to be in. There is no up or down, and no ground to stand on. Scenes are entered suddenly and without warning, going from floating along to suddenly standing in a memory or a vision (unless you have come from the second void). Characters can also find themselves traveling from void to void, but there is no precise place where they overlap, and if they turn around they will not be able to return to the void they were previously in. It is almost as though perhaps, the voids and the scenes are moving around, and that Wonderland no longer has a static form.
Wonderland will remain this way until the end of the event. What happens then? You'll have to wait and see. ♥ For now though, please enjoy the horrible voids that make up all of Wonderland at the moment. If you have any questions, please report to the plot post or check out our Fourth Wall Masterpost for all your other fourth wall needs!

...Even if it unmakes me.
[For once, he isn't quiet out of sleepiness. It is a fact of existence, but not necessarily one he's particularly fond of. He likes his lazy little life.]
We are what Wonder-- [A brief glitch to another spot, but when he wakes again he's in the same spot. It seems like he's trying very hard to keep himself in one place, even if it makes getting complete sentences out harder.] --us to be. Even when things aren't broken, we-- [Bzzt. Another glitch.] --we aren't always--
[Trying this hard is making it harder. This time when he sleeps, it's for almost a full thirty seconds of silence from him.]

[She's just parroting now, like she did when Steven first played notes for her and she followed along even after he stopped asking her to. She can't quite figure out how to end that, so she cups the sleeping mouse in her hands.]
I think I get it now. You're not just part of the system. The system built you to serve it, but you really do have minds of your own. Just like gems...
[She might be projecting, but this is sounding uncomfortably familiar.]

Finally, after a moment of rest, he mutters the rest.]
...aren't always...needed.
[Sometimes Wonderland needs someone else, and sometimes it makes them go. Her words sink in though, and this time when he glitches he appears right in front of her face.]
Mm. Something like that. Some with more of a mind than others. But we-- [Zzz. A quick glitch before forcing himself back.] --we are ourselves, nonetheless.

Can you be freed from Wonderland? Do you have to do what it makes you do when you're needed? Or come back even when you're not?

...No. No?
[He sounds a little uncertain about the second one, and the uncertainty makes him lose his grip and glitch downward, sleeping more than a foot below her feet.]
No...

[And she isn't accustomed to asking for help, but she thinks she might need it. Just this time.]

How to find it? How to find it. How to find it.
So much weight is placed on what the Dormouse says. He has to make it count.]
Co--
[And then, with one last glitch, he's gone. She can look around the void all she wants, but he's no where to be seen.]
