Who: Patchouli Knowledge & Lelouch Lamperouge

Where: Lelouch's Room (Room 004 on Floor 006); Code Geass world

When: Now, May 6

Rating: PG for now?

Summary: After a short conversation between Patchouli and Lelouch, Lelouch agrees that if the chance comes, he would take Patchouli to visit his homeworld. Now that chance has come, and they're taking it.

the Story:
Honestly, Lelouch was a little frightened by the thought of returning home. One reason was because he didn't expect the chance to come so soon, although he wanted to go back. The second reason was because he couldn't image how "home" was after his forced departure. He sat in his computer chair, staring outside the window that he and Patchouli were soon going to go through, voices of the world beyond it clouding his thoughts. When this got boring - and somewhat annoying - he turned his head slightly to the opposite side and exchanged glances with the door, waiting for his guest to arrive. The door was left unlocked, so entering wasn't the problem. It was the concept getting out of the room - out of the mansion -  that had his mind jumbled up.

"...I see," she said. Maybe that was all she needed to know. That she and Lelouch were rather similar...? "One day I want to see them," she whispered, scarcely audible.

Her attention quickly turned to the fact that Shirley didn't see Patchouli. "Maybe you can't see me? I'm not from this world..." At least she didn't have to worry much about as far as dressing properly. She followed as Lelouch instructed.

[[OOC: It's fine at the moment~]]

Patchouli looked at Lelouch. He seemed not to notice. She followed close enough to Lelouch, just because he knew his way around. She took in everything Shirley said, though, with some confusion, but she tried to follow along with this.

"Alright," she replied just as quietly; she didn't know if Shirley could hear, but she wasn't about to let up her guard.

Patchouli, too, was not one for physical activities; as such, she flew after Lelouch. While she still heard Shirley, the name 'Millay' seemed to interest her for some reason, but she couldn't tell why. Maybe the name was familiar. 'Millay...' why did she think of Remilia?

"She speaks perhaps a little too much," she said. "...something she said reminded me of someone from home. Lelouch, a little later, I want to explore a little bit later." Explore, and, while she didn't say it, she wanted to find information. The seal had been weakening around her home gradually, so who knows?

"I guess... sometimes one can't be the person they always are... right?" She tried to stay cheerful, but something about Lelouch couldn't help but bring her down. At least she still felt some grouding to reality.

"Remilia Scarlet. She was the one who watched over me when I was sealed away; she, and many others, were among the others imprisoned. I'm not so sure why I suddenly thought of her... it's possible the seal cracked in my absence." She sighed. "Well... it was just a random thought, I guess."

Patchouli had a quick look at Lelouch's room. Something about it almost felt like it was missing something, but she didn't understand why. Maybe it was just because it had been empty until they entered. "First, I'd like to have a look around these facilities. In theory a school should be a good source of information." She was half fascinated and half freaked-out by this world, and she wondered what damage might have been inflicted upon it. "Just in case, Lelouch -- are you at all competent when it comes to stealth?"

Patchouli wasn't sure how real Lelouch's smile was, but to her such didn't matter so much. He'd endured much; he didn't have to smile honestly...

"She was, indeed, a friend," Patchouli said with a slight smile. "She was one of the few who didn't treat me as less than human outside of England before I was sealed, and was kind enough to give me a home when I was..." She sighed a little. "She had a younger sister. I guess Shirley reminded me of the little one, Flandre; she was always so cheerful... and, maybe the sound of a name reminded me of Remilia...

"As for why in regard to stealth, it's mostly... because having you caught up in conversations you don't want to be part of might be a bit of a hinderance, right?"

[identity profile] jacaranda-honey.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Curiouser and curiouser," she mused, "but I assume it's mere coincidence that both Millay and Remilia hold such high positions within their own circles, and that one's name reminds me of the other. Rather an impressive coincidence, but nonetheless, as far as I can tell, nothing more." The only thing about it that might make it closer is if Millay and Shirley shared some manner of erotic relationship.

"...I guess that would vary based on who we encounter. the fact that they don't know of my existence is somewhat of a blessing and a curse, as far as gathering information goes... unfortunately such does not apply to you, which here would be only positive, as far as I can tell. Though, maybe if they noticed me, they might be able to help me more. If the Britannia Empire is anything like the Party in Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, written material may not help us. Of course, information we are told may not be of any help in such a case, either, but, nonetheless... I wonder if there was some way I could get them to notice me?"

"As kind and giving as Remilia may be," Patchouli replied, "she does have a rather selfish side." To say that was quite an understatement; Remilia had a dark side to her. Once, she blocked out the sun. But, unless Lelouch wanted to delve further into the past she wouldn't mention this.

"Such, indeed, presents a problem. Yet, I'm sure we can find some information..." She searched around a little. "Well, sometimes I can do that. I think mostly that it would help me manage to get others to speak to me, in theory; however, how much would they be willing to tell me?"

[identity profile] jacaranda-honey.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
"...I see. This means that first I'll have to find what, in particular, I want to know perhaps... a little more about what has happened here. I'd like to know why they did it... if it was more than just some ridiculous quest for power... if there's something more... and, I guess I want to know..." Her voice became a bit more quiet. "...I want to know who took them away from you." She wondered how Lelouch would convince these others to speak to them...

[identity profile] jacaranda-honey.livejournal.com 2008-05-12 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
She held Lelouch a little closer and gave him a slight hug, in that sort of sibling-like way, the sympathetic "I understand" sort of way. "Maybe we'll find out," she said. With every word her fury grew, though she wasn't about to make this obvious. She wanted to kill whoever was responsible for this, but she didn't know how much help that would really provide.

[[OOC: It's fine~]]

"We'll find them," Patchouli said, letting go of Lelouch. "We can make them pay... Those who would take so much from one person deserve nothing." She was quite willing to help Lelouch with any of this, as necessary.

Patchouli nodded and turned to the door. She understood about not wanting to speak much of the past; Patchy didn't much want to reveal her past so much as she had. Then, she didn't mind, in the end. She was quite interested in this world, and how much could she expect to gain from Lelouch without giving a little?

"Yes," she said, "I think we should get out of here rather quickly. This is becoming rather uninteresting, and I understand what emotions it must evoke..." She stopped talking; she would probably just end up causing more pain if she didn't.

[[OOC: Late reply is late. D:]]

"Well, in that case," she said, "showing me around the school should suffice for now." She knew for a fact that she might want to meet some of these people, but to keep Lelouch away from too many others who might interrupt others. "Some of the students mights be of use, but that's not the point..."

[[It could be worse, dearie~]]

"Well, in that case... we should go visit them; hopefully they won't give us too much trouble." She stayed a little optimistinc about this; it was the least she could do, right? No sense getting worried ...

"Well, I'm sure I could modify that, somewhat." She didn't know if the others could hear them, and it didn't seem so, but she had illusion magic she could use to at least appear to them, right?

Fortunately, Patchouli was quite skilled with quickly engineering spells. She quickly completed her spell and put it to use. To others, she would appear to be there, but simultaneously it would not be powerful enough to make someone accurately believe that the girl existed; to them it would probably just be an image, existing halfway between dimensions -- and auditory signals would be just as inhibited. "Well, it's not going to do much," she told Lelouch, "but I can communicate with them a little. I don't know if it'll hold out long, but you'll still have to be my voice, because they won't be able to hear mine." She entered, still a bit close to Lelouch. "This is the best I can do, at the moment." Rather a shame, she thought.

She turned to the President. She would speak, but knew that this would not help at all. She was slightly disappointed, but what could be done?

[[OOC: It'll probably fade in and out repeatedly then eventually fail completely soon enough.]]
