Summary:Sirius and Terra go on a very serious candlelit dinner on the beach
the Story:

Sirius made his way up the stairs to Terra's room as the first rays of sun started to disappear from the horizon. Evening dinner on the beach was what he had promised, and he refused to disappoint. Terra was an amazing girl. Something he had known when he had started into this. They'd had a fantastic time when they had been drunk, and he had wanted to know more about her.

Then he discovered Beast Boy and his insencere feelings. How he had wanted to be with two people at once. Terra was worth more then that and anyone who treated her as someone that insignificant should be hanged. Or at least petrified for a good three months. That was how this had started at least. Now he wasn't quite sure where it was. He liked Terra. He wanted her to be amazingly happy, and he wanted to be able to be the person to make her happy. He just wasn't sure how. Still, he'd figure out how, and in the process they'd have fun.

When he arrived at her door he knocked lightly, adjusting his coat while he waited.

Her face lit up. "Oooh, really? Well c'mon then!" Without even thinking about it she grabbed his arm and took off at a jog for the rock.

Sirius let her hand slide down till they were holding hands before following her. Once they got there he took his jacket off and laid it on the ground for her to sit on. "Get comfy, the sun takes a while to set."

-- Well, holding hands wasn't what she'd expected but... actually... that was pretty good too. She wasn't going to sit on his jacket, though, that was just silly and it'd ruin it, too.

"Lemme try something," she said, stretching her hand out in front of her. She closed her eyes and concentrated for a minute. She'd never actually moved sand before, but she figured she should be able to - after all, sand was pretty much tiny rocks, right?

When she opened her eyes she'd lifted a bench shape out of the sand, just big enough for them both to sit on - and since she couldn't move water around, just rock, it was dry, too. "There," she said, grinning.

Sirius raised a brow at the action. "Impressive. You are one singular girl, you know that?" He grabbed his coat off the ground and pulled her down on the bench, letting his hand rest on her waist.

She grinned again. "Well. I've been practicing." She had also been practicing not blushing, because she felt stupid blushing every time Sirius complimented her. She leaned just the slightest bit in his direction as she sat down.

"You're doing amazing. Pretty soon you'll be building a sand mansion." He honestly thought she could do it. She was a strong woman, and not just with her abilities. She herself was powerful. He wasn't paying too much attention to the sunset. He was watching her reaction to it. She could be terribly breathtaking at times.

She giggled. "That's one of the things I've been practicing, actually." As she spoke she kicked her shoes off and wiggled her toes into the sand. Beaches were the best.

"I'm not surprised." He leaned in a little. Kicking sand onto her feet.

"Hey," she protested, though her voice was amused. She dug the side of her foot into the sand and pushed a load of it over onto his feet.

"Eugh!" He swished his feet around in his shoes before leaning down and taking them off. He wasn't wearing socks, so the grains of sand that had gotten into his shoes had rubbed against his bare skin. In retaliation he kicked more sand on her feet.

Terra laughed again and shook the sand off her feet... and then, grinning widely, dropped Sirius' half of the sand-bench out from under him.

Sirius fell unceremoniously into a heap into the now pile of sand, the wink knocking out of him for a brief moment. Instead of even trying to counter her powers, he just reached up to pull her down into the pile too.

She yelped, startled - she hadn't expected him to retaliate that way. She laughed as sand worked its way into her hair.

He couldn't help but laugh with her. The girl had one hell of an infectious laugh. "See, now that's why I gave you shorts too."

"I am a big fan of the shorts," she agreed, sitting up enough to try to shake the sand out of her hair... and onto Sirius.

"Thought you migh b- HEY!" He started picking up big handfuls of sand and dumping them on her. "Let's see how you like that then."

She yelped again and then remembered - Duh, Terra. She concentrated for a moment and all the sand on her flew at Sirius.

Sirius covered his eyes so the sand didn't go in it. "I'm pretty sure that's cheating at this point." But he was obviously not upset since he was laughing.

She giggled at him. "How about if we make a sand castle instead. No powers, I promise." She held her hands up in a gesture of surrender, grinning.

He pulled himself up to a sitting position and leaned over her lap, shaking out his hair onto her. "Sure, sounds good to me."

She spluttered and shook her head hard, sending sand flying. "You never stop, do you?" she asked, though she was still grinning as she said it. "Okay, here, look. Help me make a flat spot to build on." She started scraping the sand in front of her down flat.

He moved around to the other side and started pulling sand away, smoothing the sand as he pulled. He'd never made a sand castle the muggle way before. In fact, he'd never made a sand castle before.

Terra had made a ton of sandcastles. When she was still out wandering on her own, beaches had been one of her favorite places to spend her time. That was actually one of the ways she'd been working on her fine motor control with her powers lately - using them to build sandcastles. But she'd promised not to use them this time, so as soon as the ground was smoothed out she started very carefully piling sand into a tower.

Sirius mimicked her actions, though his didn't really look like he knew what he was doing. "Like this then?" He was concentrating very hard, his brows creased and his upper teeth biting his lower lip a little.

She glanced up at him and had to stifle a giggle. He looked like he was trying really hard. It was kind of adorable. "Yeah, that's good," she said, amusement clear in her tone. Her own tower was already fully formed and she was beginning to put parapets on it.
