Who: Poland [
reckless_eagle] and Ryohei [
kyokugen_sun]
Where: A tearoom
When: March 12...sometime
Rating: PG?
Summary: Ryohei talks to Poland. Because Poland is awesome. And not deaf.
the Story:
There were a lot of things that Ryohei was fed up with, and at the top of the list was "dealing with people named Seimei and Hibari." It wasn't that he was particularly angry at either of them; he didn't mind helping Hibari whenever he needed it, and right now he definitely did, and he hadn't seen Seimei for days. He knew wasn't likely to see him again any time soon, either. But dealing with Hibari meant dealing with Seimei at least mentally, and at the moment that was more than enough.
The whole situation had gotten more complicated than Ryohei liked, and for once, he felt like he needed to talk to someone about it. He couldn't go to Hibari, though, so the next person to come to mind had, somehow, been Poland. Even if the nation didn't remember it, he'd told Ryohei an awful lot about his own problems, and Ryohei felt like it would be okay to talk to him.
He'd sent the nation a message asking him to meet him in a certain tearoom, and that was where he was now, juggling two balls idly with one hand while he waited.

"Hey," he greeted, smoothing out his skirt a little as he shuffled into the room. He still wasn't used to the idea of dressing up in front of people, but it was getting to feel a little more natural (even if he did still prefer men's clothes day-to-day). "What's up, Ryohei?"
no subject
"I wanted to talk to someone." The boxer sat up straighter, pulling the sleeves of his sweatshirt down over his hands. "And I know we don't know each other that well, since you don't really remember anything, but you seemed like a good person to talk to about this."

"Um...my friend got attacked. By that same guy who's been hurting other people. The Major or whatever. And he couldn't see, and he still can't hear or speak."

He plucked at the bandages on his hands, frowning a little. "I punched his boyfriend in the face, though. Because the reason that guy went after Hibari is because Seimei attacked him. And he knew that that guy might try to hurt Hibari if he did, but he did it anyway. And I can't forgive him for that."

Then the rest of what Ryohei had said sank in, and Poland sat there blinking. "...Okay, um, like. Back up a sec. 'His boyfriend?'" Was that... you know, allowed and stuff? Did that happen?
no subject
"Yeah, Seimei's his boyfriend." Some of his distaste for that fact probably creeps into his voice and his frown deepens. "When I told Hibari why later, he said it didn't matter that Seimei had known about the danger and still done it. And I guess it doesn't matter now. I'm gonna forget about it for Hibari's sake, anyway."
Because he had to live with the fact that Hibari and Seimei were together for as long as that lasted, whether he liked it or not.

Ryohei did his best to keep these things straight, but, honestly, the over-complication was part of the reason he was fed up with it all.

"Yeah. You're extremely right. And Hibari's right that it doesn't matter now. And I'm not gonna stay mad at him about it, because we're both men and we're both close to Hibari, so it needs to be in the past."
That isn't all of what's bothering him though, as evidenced by the way he continues to fidget.
no subject
"So what's actually bugging you?"
no subject
Ryohei frowned, thinking. "Seimei said something to me after I hit him and it shouldn't still bother me, but it does to the extreme."

"...He asked me if I'd kill someone, and I told him only if it was to protect my family. Then he asked what I'd do if I had no strength and I said that would never happen to the extreme!" He paused, and then spoke slowly, recalling Seimei's words as accurately as he could. "And then he said that he hopes I suffer a lot and have to eat my words."

"Then he left after Hibari's sight came back, but he didn't explain why, or tell Hibari where he was going. So Hibari didn't sleep for a few days and eventually came back to my room to stay."
no subject
"Sounds like a totally lame boyfriend to me," he muttered. "Seriously? When Liet got hurt, I like, stayed next to him for three days until he woke up. This Seimei guy just like, takes off without a word?"
no subject
He looked up at Poland. "Hibari showed me their conversation about it later, that's how I know."

Somehow, he felt like there was something he was missing. Maybe if he remembered what they'd been talking about the night they met...
