The Grand and Splendiferous Ghost Log of 2013
Who: The Ghosts of Years Yet to Come and YOU!
Where: Anywhere. Everywhere.
When: December 15th - December 25th
Rating: G for Ghosts, Proceed With Caution!
Summary:
The Story:
And so it begins.
Throughout the mansion faded images will flicker in and out – ghosts of Wonderland's future. These ghosts can be of anyone, from any point in the next five years. They will play on repeat, as Wonderland's Chess Piece Ghosts have in the past, and they will offer brief glimpses into the future for anyone who witnesses them.
They cannot be stopped, and the images cannot be changed or altered. This isn't to say that the future can't eventually be changed, of course, but there is nothing that anyone can do over the course of this event that will change the contents of these imprints.

Summary:
• This log is intended to give everybody a good overview of where in Wonderland which ghosts can be found. It can be used as a reference for other posts, or to thread encounters too short to warrant their own entry.
• To help browsing all ghosts easily, please put [Name of Ghost Character] - [Location of Ghost in Wonderland] into the subject line, so everybody can immediately see who they'll encounter, and where.
•If you have any more questions about the ghosts, or the Christmas event in general, go ahead and post a comment to our Q & A thread!
• In short, STEP 1: Posts with ghosts! STEP 2: ?!?! STEP 3: PROFIT!

Not quite to the hot cocoa needin' stage, but I'm gettin' there. Hell, gonna need the marshmallows 'fore the end of the week, way things are going.
[He really, really just wants this event to pass like all of the others.]
New meanin' to seein' ghosts, too. Addin' that to my list of things I never thought I'd be worryin' 'bout.
no subject
I think I arrived at that stage. It's when I take to lacing it that we've got an issue.
[She puts her ridiculous book down, just cradling her mug in her hands, letting the warmth sink into her body. Ellen will never admit it, but she needs it. She needs the comfort of something normal, of something interesting, of... something she isn't sure she can describe even to herself.
Her eyebrows rise suddenly at the mention of ghosts.]
Ghosts have an interesting way of showing things we aren't sure we want to see.
[She nods her head back where she'd seen John and Crowley being snuggly. Just... a demon really?]
no subject
Or things we're sure we don't wanna see...
[If this display of domestic bliss is worth comment, he wonders what Ellen would say about the ghosts in his room, the memory of their gratuitous display more than enough to unsettle him even now.]
Not written in stone, though. Can't be.
[He leaves off the assurance that he'd never fool around with Crowley, mostly because he's afraid of Wonderland challenging him with "never say never."]
no subject
If you want to know how to deal with him, I can teach you.
[That's all she's going to say on the matter. He can get the help or not, as he wants. The offer is out there. She isn't going to tell him what to do, even if she wants to drag him away from Crowley and lock him away until he's sure he'll never do anything so stupid.]
No. It's not written in stone. But knowing the future can... make it more probable? I heard something about that once.
[Another soft sigh.]
But there's no reason to let it take over. Prepare, ponder it, but if you let it take over, it'll come true and it'll be worse.

[It's said pointedly, not because Blake feels any amount of ill will, but because he wants Ellen to understand that he's taking this seriously. It's already bad enough to hear people debate about his (non-existent) love life, but to add in a level of what-the-fuckery with Crowley kicks things up a notch (BAM).]
Pretty sure I've got the demon-thing down, just gotta work out the rest of this. Otherwise everyone's— broken.
no subject
The problem with that is that could be the reason they stop working.
She thinks of something else. It's been a long time since she used black powder, but the ingredients would be easier to stockpile and put together. And they had more than one person here that used it. That would be... interesting.]
Not broken... tired. War's biggest effect isn't the pain and suffering. It's that those that survive? They get tired. They get tired and sick of being tired. they get lonely. We have to not think about it, but prepare for it, if that makes sense.
no subject
[This is exactly why Blake obsessively writes notes. It's exactly the reason he catalogs everything, takes in all the information he can, because there's no telling what might make the difference, and there's no telling what Wonderland might take away.]
Last thing I wanna do is cut ties. Been hard enough formin' 'em.
[A thin smile, despite everything.]
Family, y'know?
no subject
Oh, I know all about family and having to make it for yourself.
[She sighs and just curls into the chair a bit more. It's a long day's night lately and she wishes there was something she could do to ease everything. But she's not doing anything until the ghosts are done, until the mistletoe stops attacking, until she can grab Dean and shake him within an inch of his life.]
After the holiday. We'll start getting ready. No reason not to. I'll get the boys and Jo together. A stash won't hurt anyone.
[The angels can help too, dammit.]
no subject
There's far too much uncertainty going around. John leans his head into his hand and rubs tiredly at his eyes.]
Sounds like a plan. Figure by then, we'll have most of what we need. Maybe more if we're bein' creative. Better to wait, though, think you're right 'bout that. Enjoy the holidays if we can.
no subject
Not my first time seizing what little time we have left. Better to let people eat, drink and make merry. Doubt we'll be the only ones squirreling away things. Was hoping to find more about the magic here, but doesn't look like it has it. Probably going to have to go back to Carroll.
no subject
[He scoots up to the edge of the chair and rubs his eyes for a second before gesturing to her hot cocoa.]
You wanna refill?
no subject
thanks, but I'll have a look about myself. It'll get me more used to everyone.
[And make her get out of her self-imposed exile a bit.
She sighs and leans over, putting a hand on his knee.]
Go get some sleep, kid. No need for both of us to go without.
no subject
Thanks, Ellen. 'Preciate it. Call if you need relief.
[And with that, he's on his feet and heading off to do something else. Maybe sleep, maybe not, depending on how he feels when he gets close to his room.
Fucking Wonderland, man. Hell of a place.]
