Summary:

• This log is intended to give everybody a good overview of where in Wonderland which ghosts can be found. It can be used as a reference for other posts, or to thread encounters too short to warrant their own entry.

The Story:

And so it begins.

Throughout the mansion faded images will flicker in and out – ghosts of Wonderland's future. These ghosts can be of anyone, from any point in the next five years. They will play on repeat, as Wonderland's Chess Piece Ghosts have in the past, and they will offer brief glimpses into the future for anyone who witnesses them.

They cannot be stopped, and the images cannot be changed or altered. This isn't to say that the future can't eventually be changed, of course, but there is nothing that anyone can do over the course of this event that will change the contents of these imprints.

[The hand at her shoulder at least snaps Martha out of it, and she drags her gaze away from the ghost to look at Amy. Amy who's real, who's right in front of her, who isn't some glimpse at something that might not even happen now.]

Yes, I know him. [She says it with a saddened smile.] His name is Daryl. He's a good person.

[And she's going to make things easy on herself and choose to believe that she saves him.]

Anyway, you... don't have to apologize. This is part of being a doctor.

[Amy smiles softly at Martha. She can see a faint echo of the Doctor in the other woman: strong and determined to carry the burden alone.]

Even still, it must be rough to see this. Doctor or not, having to see your friends like this...

[She trails off, wondering what happened, wondering if Martha was successful in saving him, before she decides not to pursue that line of thinking.]

Did you want to look around some more or did you need time to think things over?

[Martha would rather not have seen Daryl in a state like this, true, but she takes it as something to inspire her. She won't let that happen.

It seems that this is the only ghost here in the clinic, unless there's something in the back room -- but Martha would rather leave that be for now.]

No, we can keep looking. [She doesn't want to dwell too much on this, anyway. Better to stay on the move.] Where to next?

[Amy's favorite coping mechanism.] The kitchens or a tea room?

[She looks over at Martha.]

Figure we could use a bit of food, maybe some tea. Talk about a few of the ones we've seen and try to piece everything together. What'd you say?

[Martha's eager to keep on the move, but she doesn't feel like refusing Amy's offer either. They can always head out again after they have tea, if they choose to, so there's that option.]

That's fine. The kitchens, maybe?

[It seems more likely that there would be some ghosts there, and she hasn't checked that room yet.

She starts off in that direction, glancing over at Amy while she walks.] Have you found any of yourself yet?

[Amy nods and heads off in that direction.]

I haven't, no. Maybe I've just been lucky and missed them all so far. Have you seen any other ones with you?

Not so far. There are probably others out there, but since there are so many of them in general...

[Martha hasn't seen any of Amy either. It seems as if certain people feature more into these than others.]
