Summary: The drag pageant.
The Story: Whether you're there as a voluntary or involuntary contestant or as an audience member looking for a laugh, this is where threads for the drag contest go!

There will be three top-level threads to help keep things organized: one for the sign-up sheet (which characters will have access to all week); one for Tweedledum to ask questions of the contestants on stage; and a third for the audience. James absolutely does like the attention and sees it for exactly what it is, but that doesn't mean that he has to like Haymitch pointing it out.

"Yeah, well. She's probably hoping I'll have literal pigtails for her to pull once the pageant happens."

He still doesn't look pleased but he's obviously not going to get any sympathy from Haymitch so he just sort of pouts in his direction.

"So, who do you think signed you up then?" he asks. "Got someone chasing your skirt?"

Haymitch looks scandalized. "Shit, I hope not."

Finnick. Interested in Haymitch's skirt. He thinks not. Or hopes. Whichever.

"Stupid guy who thinks we're friends. He also thinks he's funny."

[pottershotter]

James snickers.

"He probably is funny if he got you all riled up," he says. "And if he is chasing your skirt, make sure you invite me to the wedding, alright?"

He'd be more sympathetic, but Haymitch wasn't so he doesn't feel particularly bad about it.

Given his general lack of sensitivity, Haymitch has suitably thick skin to deal with receiving it in kind and it rolls right off his back.

"He's not any funnier than you are, buddy."

Oh, burn.

He cracks a smile.

"I stand corrected then," he says. "He must be hilarious."

James has an ego so big that it's astonishing how his head can fit through doors. It'll take much more than that to burn him.
