Karaoke Lounge (2-3)
Who: Class 2-3 & YOU!
Where: The Karaoke Room
When: July 15th - July 16th, 2014
Rating: PG-13 to be safe
Summary: Class 2-3 has decided to create an awesome karaoke lounge for their class project!
The Story:

Karaoke Sample Song List
Presented by 2-3, this chic and semi-intimate karaoke lounge is heralded as the perfect get-away for those students and visitors looking to burn a little energy dancing and singing. Despite how it might first appear, the room boasts a deceptively large space, plenty of seating, and basic refreshments.
Nearest the stage is a sign-up list for those looking to sing. The music database is massive, so pretty much any song is offered (however, there are signs warning against selections that may not be appropriate for all audiences, even if no one will be closely monitoring).
[[ OOC: Prose or action spam is totally fine. Start your own headers, link your own songs, dance around in all the threads, and have a great time!
P.S. Don't forget your content warnings where necessary!
P.P.S. Hopefully this is okay with everyone in class 2-3. Please PM me here if you need me to add/change/remove something/etc.]]

Hazel | ota
[She might not have been as shy as one might first suspect on sight, but there was no godly force on this or any other Earth that would get her up on that stage. Hazel was perfectly content to sitting in the back of the room, feet propped up on the table and munching on a bag of popcorn.]
[Which, for the record, she would be more than happy to share with anybody who asked.]

How 'bout a duet? You an' me.

I don't sing.

[ Johnny shakes his head. ] No, c'mon, I wanna hear you sing. Please?

[...okay, maybe it was cliched, but it was also kind of true; Hazel had loved horses, ever since she was a little girl. She'd even been on a few school equestrian teams in the past.]
[Her point was you can't always get what you want.]

You really want a pony? I can get you a pony. Believe it. I can get anything anyone wants.

I...can't tell if that's supposed to be a line, or if you're seeing how gullible I am.

Either way, it's not going to work. I'm not singing.

Okay. $20 and you pick the song. Final offer.

Why are you being so persistent about it? Why do you even care?

[ He nudges her gently with his elbow. ] C'mon, some of the people worked really hard. Now I'm doin' my part, too. [ Because she is not an easy sell here. ]

[At this rate, she was starting to suspect he wouldn't go away until she agreed. There weren't too many people around at the moment, and if they went up together, maybe she could hider her own voice behind his...]
one song. Maybe.

Duet, right? [ As he sits, he digs into his pocket and drops a crumpled $20 bill on the table. ] Or you got somethin' else in mind?
no subject
I really don't mind. Pick whatever.
[Famous lost words?]

[Mama told me not to come. huh? She thought about it for a moment. The melody came to mind. Enough that she might be able to follow along with the lyrics as they flashed across the screen. More importantly, it wasn't some cheesy love son.]
Fine.

Awesome! [ He stands and offers his hand. ] Let's go. You an' me an Three Dog Night.

[Clearly, she was stronger than she looked.]
Pass me the mic.

Of course, that doesn't stop him from making introduction. He clears his throat and leans into the mic. ]
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Hazel and the Nut singin' "Mamma Told Me Not to Come." so you guys get ready for the electric, eclectic, smooth crooning experience of a lifetime, and remember: if your mamma told you not to come, you prob'ly end up here anyway...
