Karaoke Lounge (2-3)
Who: Class 2-3 & YOU!
Where: The Karaoke Room
When: July 15th - July 16th, 2014
Rating: PG-13 to be safe
Summary: Class 2-3 has decided to create an awesome karaoke lounge for their class project!
The Story:

Karaoke Sample Song List
Presented by 2-3, this chic and semi-intimate karaoke lounge is heralded as the perfect get-away for those students and visitors looking to burn a little energy dancing and singing. Despite how it might first appear, the room boasts a deceptively large space, plenty of seating, and basic refreshments.
Nearest the stage is a sign-up list for those looking to sing. The music database is massive, so pretty much any song is offered (however, there are signs warning against selections that may not be appropriate for all audiences, even if no one will be closely monitoring).
[[ OOC: Prose or action spam is totally fine. Start your own headers, link your own songs, dance around in all the threads, and have a great time!
P.S. Don't forget your content warnings where necessary!
P.P.S. Hopefully this is okay with everyone in class 2-3. Please PM me here if you need me to add/change/remove something/etc.]]

Maybe trying to rouse her school spirit will do her some good. Or maybe it's just an excuse to talk to her.
His hands are deep in his pockets as he makes his way over, shoulders hunched forward as they often are, offering her a careful smile. "You're not going to sing? Lead by example?"
no subject
"What can I say? You're already doing so brilliantly at that whole leader thing. I can't top that. Don't think I'm cut out for it. I'll sit back here and organize instead."
And still stay as far away from the stage as she can manage.

"I don't know if I'd say leader--"
She thought he was doing a good job with leadership? Sincere or otherwise, something about that makes him feel just a little swell of pride.
"Well, that's good of you. I mean, organization's important, too -- we need someone taking care of that." But-- "Maybe just one song later on? I'd love-- I mean, everyone would love to hear you give it a shot, I bet."
Smooth.

Still not buying it, however.
"I think everyone's ears will be plenty occupied with the list of students we already have lining up. I really don't think they'll miss me. Besides, the whole center stage thing is more Rachel's deal, not mine."

Really, her being so firm on the subject should be his cue to turn and walk in the other direction, but he's hesitant to do so. It's not often he lets himself be bold enough to talk to a pretty girl, after all. Maybe it's the adrenaline from his performance that's lending him a bit of courage, even if he's lacking some polish.
"Are you planning on-- going to the dance when the festival is over?"
Not that's he's asking her, he's just... asking. That's right.
no subject
"I am!" she answered, bright grin appearing as she props her chin in her hands and gives him her full attention. "Wouldn't miss it. Are you going?"
no subject
"Sounds like just about everyone will be there. I'm not a very good dancer, but it should still be fun."
Clearly, he's just not built for any kind of performing. Something about not having any rhythm.

The prospect of that seems to make him brighten a little, perk up attentively. If she was going to find him for a dance--
Okay. It was definitely worth going.
"I'll make sure to save one for you." The wink is met with another awkward smile, genuine for all its uncertainty.
