Karaoke Lounge (2-3)

Who: Class 2-3 & YOU!
Where: The Karaoke Room
When: July 15th - July 16th, 2014
Rating: PG-13 to be safe
Summary: Class 2-3 has decided to create an awesome karaoke lounge for their class project!
The Story:
Sweet Karaoke Lounge

Karaoke Sample Song List

Presented by 2-3, this chic and semi-intimate karaoke lounge is heralded as the perfect get-away for those students and visitors looking to burn a little energy dancing and singing. Despite how it might first appear, the room boasts a deceptively large space, plenty of seating, and basic refreshments.

Nearest the stage is a sign-up list for those looking to sing. The music database is massive, so pretty much any song is offered (however, there are signs warning against selections that may not be appropriate for all audiences, even if no one will be closely monitoring).

[[ OOC: Prose or action spam is totally fine. Start your own headers, link your own songs, dance around in all the threads, and have a great time!

P.S. Don't forget your content warnings where necessary!

P.P.S. Hopefully this is okay with everyone in class 2-3. Please PM me here if you need me to add/change/remove something/etc.]]

"Katy Perry." Her words may sound a little nonsensical, there, but when Annabeth glances down to her list and back up to Natasha, it makes sense. "The fifth round of Firework is about to start."

Her tone is one hundred percent sympathetic, even considering the fact she's the one that stopped Natasha in the first place. At least she was honest? There's a moment here, where it feels like she's thinking, before Annabeth sighs, shakes her head a little. "You can go, if you want. We've got enough people on shift."

"It could be worse. It could be 'Last Friday Night'," Natasha points out with a face that expresses clearly her thoughts on just about every song picked so far.

And then Annabeth goes and makes that offer and she'd hug her if it hadn't had the complete opposite effect.

"See and then you have to go and say that. Because now I'll have guilt and literally can't leave. You are a terrible person, Annabeth Chase. A tyrant. You should feel terrible." Except there's a wry smile tugging at the corner of Natasha's lips as she scolds the other girl, then crosses her arms over her chest with a huff. "Can't we just do everyone a favor and break the damn karaoke machine?"

"Yeah, but more people can sound decent with Last Friday Night. This is just painful." She feels you, Natasha. She really does. But when it comes to responsibilities and things that Annabeth unintentionally signs up for with her need to be in charge, she doesn't really get to ditch. Maybe she's hoping to live vicariously through you. Maybe she just wants to think that if the roles were switched, the same would happen to her.

Even if she just kind of ends up smirking when Natasha mentions guilt tripping, an almost laugh. "I don't know about tyrant. Power-hungry, maybe." It comes out as some kind of inside joke, even if Annabeth isn't sure she and Natasha have really ever mentioned it. Still, she finds herself laughing at the suggestion.

"Do you want to pay the $400 plus pay the school back for the deposit?"

"Fine, you're a power-hungry tyrant then," Natasha tosses back, subduing a smile as she still attempts to sulk at the other girl. Because that's a totally valid response here.

Annabeth's question has her pausing to ponder that consequence for a moment. "I could go get Loki and we could blame it on an unavoidable act of god?"

Or A god. That totally counted, right?

Okay, you know what? Annabeth's not even going to argue, deciding that a decent eye-roll is answer enough. To both the quip and the sulking, which Annabeth has to give Natasha credit for. She's definitely trying.

The question, though, has her blinking. Almost like she's thinking about it, which is completely absurd. Then, finally, a sigh. "No."

You almost had her, Natasha. Almost.

So close. She'd almost had her, and she knew it.

When the no finally came, she groaned in dismay and buried her face in her hands. "Hopeless. Completely hopeless. We really need to work on your sense of adventure, Annabeth. Hopefully before my eardrums explode."

Natasha's outburst actually makes Annabeth smile a little, rolling her eyes a bit at the groan. Goodness, Natasha, you weren't that close.

"My sense of adventure if fine, thank you." She says, almost defensively. "That plan is just shaky."
