Summary: Crowley avoids the rips, Bruce throws himself into studying them literally and Banner looks for places to focus his unending rage.

(( ooc note: mirror!Banner is a melding of Bruce Banner and the Hulk, incredibly smart and incredibly destructive. If you want him to do any sort of damage to your character, let me know, otherwise I will assume that characters can get away from him if he gets violent. He can revert to Bruce, but it's not his default form. ))

Billy is investigating the rips by casually tossing himself through them and seeing where he ends up (quietly sorta of ignoring Steve's request that they steer clear of the rips). Its on one of these trip through a rip that he almost lands on top of Bruce.

"Oh god, sorry! These things are really unpredictable. Last time I went through one I landed in the pool."

Bruce looks up just in time to shuffle out of the way, but he doesn't seem too ruffled about it. He's thrown himself through a few already, too, and he knows exactly what happens on the other side.

"Good thing you can swim." He give Billy a sardonic smile. "I haven't been able to get too much of a read on these things. Just enough that I was pretty sure there was something solid on the other side of it."

"And fly. I needed to do that already too. These things are really unpredictable, even when I try to teleport through them. I was trying to get back to the pool one, so see if I could make it listen to me, and I landed here." Billy shakes his head. "I've tried closing them too, doesn't work. Usually things here respond to my magic but this is something else I think."

"I've sent a few instruments into them and some of them are just lost now." He shrugs. "I even followed some of them through a few seconds after and either they were destroyed or they went somewhere else."

He pulls a little notebook out of his pocket and jots down a few notes, mostly on what Billy's just told him about the rips and his magic. "Anything else you've seen that stands out? Steve asked me to look into these things and I still can't make heads or tails of any of it."

Billy shook his head. "Nothing else that makes any sense. Not that these make sense. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how they react. Never reach the same place twice and some of them are spitting us out on the mirror side. Which is worrisome." No one wants to land on that side, not when they don't know who is over there or where they are going to land.

On the one hand, the idea of falling out on the mirror side was a little concerning, but Bruce's time in Wonderland was mostly spent trying to understand what makes the place tick and what lurks on the other side of the mirrors is part of that. "I might try to get over there and see if there are more clues about these there."

Billy nodded. "Just- just be careful. It's more dangerous over there and the versions of us are not people you want to run across. If you can get a message through if you do manage to get over there let us know, so we know which Bruce we have on our side."

Having a mirror Bruce running around meant there was a mirror Hulk running around and that was probably not going to be fun for whoever came across him. But Billy could understand wanting to study the mirror side, especially when these opportunities were few and far between.
