Loki's Speed Dating Service
Who: Loki Laufeyson, speed dating sign-ups, open!
Where: Coffee Shop
When: 09/23, Evening
Rating: PG
Summary: Log for speed dating!
The Story:

The coffee shop has been set up with multiple small tables, each two chairs and a number assigned to it. Loki has, of course, gone all out. There is another, longer table with various finger-foods on it, and a variety of refreshments both alcoholic and not.
Every participant will get a sheet with the number of the table they will be going to on each round, as well as spots to fill out information about their date should they choose to do so. If a late-comer who has not signed up happens to come in... well, Loki will make it work. While participating in dates himself, of course. It is no fun just to organize.
OOC
Dates have been randomly selected by Random Pair. There will be four rounds. Each round lasts 14 tags - seven from each player. At the end of the fourteenth tag, the bell will ring to change tables.
If your character is not part of the sign ups, feel free to tag into a round with 'open' as your pairing.
There will also be a post-dating mingle, if your characters got cut off by that terrible bell.

Loki and Sirius
Re: Loki and Sirius
But then again, there is something to that stretch that makes him wonder if the boy might not feel more comfortable in the dungeons. Sirius raises his gaze to Loki's and smirks.
"What do you want to know? I'd be shocked if you hadn't heard about me from James, at least. He seems to be friends with just about everyone around here."

There was a hint of something about this young man. In fact, it felt like it might be a kind of magic, and he did not mean that in the eighties rock band sort of way.

Stretching his arms up and back behind his head, he gave a slight shrug before answering. "Same world as James and Lily. And as Peter and Remus, if you were here when they were."
He, for a moment, very clearly misses them.
"I was from the magic part of my world, which I venture to guess is a part all worlds have, it's just a matter of whether you're in the know or not. Seems like an awful lot of folk here aren't exactly muggles-- er, non-magical. So I reckon that I'm right, there."
He scratches at his neck for a few seconds, then adds. "I'd say mischief is my major amusement, in one form or another. Or spending time out of doors. And to be honest those two things essentially wrap up the answer to your last question as well."
He spreads his hands. "Good enough?"
no subject
"I had thought there was something interesting about you. What is the nature of your magic?"
no subject
"Nature. Hm. I suppose the main difference I've noticed is the wands." He takes his out, careful to aim it straight up. "I'd need this to do anything like that. And only very advanced wizards can do things like that without an incantation."
He pauses for a moment, considering what else Loki might consider to be part of the "nature" of his world's magic. "It's hereditary, largely. Certainly is in my case, at least. But everyone is better at certain things than others. I'm better at transfiguration and dueling magic than, say, potions and charms."
He taps his nose lightly. "Let me guess. You do well with illusions?"
no subject
Transfiguration and dueling magic, hmm? Interesting. "Illusions are something of a specialty of mine. That and shape-shifting." Though he could not be as free with the latter as he had been once upon a time.
no subject
He holds up an open palm and shrugs lightly. "Not terribly legal, necessarily, but we were careful. And it doesn't matter in the least here, of course."

He gives the other young man a once-over. "So. What do you call yourself? I imagine it isn't 'wizard' or else we'd have more in common, possibly."
no subject
no subject
"Really? That's...less common. Totally uncommon, in my world, so far as I know. Gods are sort of a muggle thing, mostly, and they tend to be, well. I mean, I'm rather certain that Jesus bloke was just a wizard with philanthropic tendencies..."
Wait.
"...You aren't him, are you?"
no subject

"...Huh. Guess this place is just that powerful, eh?"
Since he sort of assumed that creatures that fancy themselves to be gods are awfully powerful, whether they really are gods or not.
