The Story:



The coffee shop has been set up with multiple small tables, each two chairs and a number assigned to it. Loki has, of course, gone all out. There is another, longer table with various finger-foods on it, and a variety of refreshments both alcoholic and not.

Every participant will get a sheet with the number of the table they will be going to on each round, as well as spots to fill out information about their date should they choose to do so. If a late-comer who has not signed up happens to come in... well, Loki will make it work. While participating in dates himself, of course. It is no fun just to organize.

Dates have been randomly selected by Random Pair. There will be four rounds. Each round lasts 14 tags - seven from each player. At the end of the fourteenth tag, the bell will ring to change tables.

If your character is not part of the sign ups, feel free to tag into a round with 'open' as your pairing.

There will also be a post-dating mingle, if your characters got cut off by that terrible bell.

"Ah--that's not what I meant!" Although he's pretty sure Loki is messing with him, he still scrambles to explain. "I just mean that I feel at ease here." More or less.

Loki chuckles, sliding back up to sit properly again. "Oh, all right. I guess that is understandable."

Kaneki rubs the back of his neck, looking around at the rest of the people in the room.

"The only date I've ever been on, I almost died. So this kind of thing is uh...not something I have a lot of experience with."

"Your date tried to kill you?" Loki actually looks startled. He hadn't expected that.

"R-right. She was a ghoul so specifically, she tried to eat me."

He frowns. Thinking about Rize still gives him the creeps, a little, but at the same time, there's so much mystery wrapped up around her existence that he can't help wanting to know more about her.

"That's when I was still a human."

[hashtagging]

"And here I thought threats to turn me into a raspberry daiquiri made for a bad date." Loki thought seriously on the comment. "Was that how you ended up getting turned into a ghoul?"

"Sort of. Being a ghoul isn't something you can...transmit, like--like being a vampire, I guess. But I had one of her organs transplanted into me and that was what changed me."

He leans forward in his seat, peering at Loki.

"...Who were you on a date with that she could have turned you into a daiquiri?"

"That is... awkward." Loki shook his head, grimacing. Poor kid.

"Amora the Enchantress. And it was less 'on a date,' and more we were under a spell where we decided dating was a great idea. Spoiler alert: it wasn't."

"The more I learn about magic, the more I'm glad we don't have it in my world."

"...you do not have magic? At all?" Loki looked downright horrified.

Kaneki shakes his head. "We just have ghouls, but they're not magic at all." Even if they seemed that way sometimes.
