I make good life choices [Open]
Who: Epsilon
memory_unlocked and you
Where: The bar
When: July 3rd.
Rating: Going with R for language
Summary: Obviously the first thing you do when you get a human body? Is go drink yourself into unconsciousness, yep.
The Story:
So waking up in a new room was weird, definitely, but after all the time spent as a mobile AI, the weirdest part for him is how big he actually feels.
Also pain, that's not exactly fun either but he's experienced that before, even experienced a body in the memory unit.
Kind of, but this one feels different somehow. Maybe knowing this one is actually real and not some construct that can't actually die. Epsilon also kind of neglected to tell anyone he was doing this so that's a conversation he's not looking forward to having.
So avoiding Carolina for a while?
Definitely a thing.
Which is all well and good except his first stop is the bar, because like hell he's going to pass up the chance to drink.

That's weird. Why was Carolina so insistent on keeping them apart?
And then Wash is leaning against the bar and speaking to him. Not like he can really do anything else now.
"Yeah. Good to know." Church slides off the stool to get himself a glass and then stared at the bottles for a moment before picking one at random. How bad could it be?
no subject
"Not like anyone has a real job here." No money. People just liked to fill their time. He watches as the guy picks up a bottle of something violently blue. Wash grabs a bottle of vodka and pours himself a glass.

"What the hell is that shit?"

no subject
"..Ugh, okay, maybe I should let someone else pick for me in the future, at least until I figure out what's good."

"So we'll see." The vodka has him coughing once but it's still better than whatever that blue shit was.
no subject
He can't help but laugh when the vodka makes him cough. "Yeah, it does that. Takes a while to get used to. Maybe you should try Tequila shots though, for a truly memorable first hangover."
no subject
"So anyway..."
no subject
"You know Carolina? She'd kill you if what?"
no subject
And she was going to kick his ass for this, he knew that, but he couldn't for the life of him remember why.

"I met Carolina a while back. Worked with her for a while."

"I'm going to go now, okay? I was never actually here, you didn't see me.
And if I can help it, you won't see me again."
no subject
Wash reaches out and grabs his wrist hard. "Who the fuck are you?"
no subject
How many times do I have to actually give you my name before you listen?"
no subject
no subject
"Just give me five minutes."
no subject
"Fine," he says, releasing him. "But don't think I can't find you again if you run."
no subject
Because seriously, this is going to require help.
And a lot of alcohol.

Getting the call with little to no explanation, Carolina wastes no time in getting down to the bar. It's possible Epsilon could have called her for something entirely ridiculous, but she's been worried because she hasn't heard anything from him for most of the day. She's anxious enough to be there in no time.
And the situation she encounters is not one she's prepared for.
Upon entering the bar, her eyes are searching for a familiar blue glow of a familiar little hologram, given she has no idea just what Epsilon has done. When she sees no sign of him, Carolina frowns, but quickly finds herself distracted when she catches sight of a frustrated looking Wash. Is... this what Epsilon sent her here for? Lost, and mildly frustrated now herself because of it, the ex-Freelancer makes her approach, attention fixed solely on Wash, and not so much on the guy near him who she doesn't recognize.
"...Wash? What's going on here?"
no subject
He jerks his head towards him when Carolina asks, his expression harsh. "That asshole is claiming his name is Leonard Church. Says that he knows you."
no subject
"...Church?" She asks after a brief moment of studying him, brow furrowing. It doesn't make any sense though. Epsilon isn't human, doesn't have a physical body. Wonderland is weird, sure, but can it make an AI into a human being? And if it can, why has it waited this long to do that? Whatever the case is here, if this really is Epsilon, he's got a lot of explaining to do. How he wound up like this, and why the hell he's with Wash. "What. The hell."
Translated, that essentially means: explain yourself now.
