Well, at least it's over. Weird challenge or not, Dipper outsmarted it and made it home. He smirks, feeling exceptionally clever.
And then he starts feeling exceptionally like a crow. He flaps his wings and looks down at the ground and caws.
What?]
no subject
This is it. He survived the three challenges and now he's going to die of frostbite as a lizard. That sure seems like the kind of stupid thing that would happen to Wirt.]

What the heck?

It's Dipper. Oh thank god.
Gradually (very, very gradually) he allows his colors to shift. He looks like he's supposed to mostly be blue (except for the triangular point on his head, which is more red), but all of his colors go much darker from the cold. Then, slowly, he starts moving along the branch towards Dipper, trembling with every step.]

[It's a good thing Dipper's smart. People are turning into animals and this one has Wirt's coloring and also Wirt seems dumb enough to get stuck as a reptile in the cold. Really, it's the only thing that makes sense.
He tries to pry Wirt off the tree. This is the part where if it's not Wirt, it'll probably try to flee, but honestly he's not even sure if it's capable. It looks like it's in pretty bad shape.]

And that's another reason for the judging look too. Part of the event seems to be over, can the rest of it go too? Zelena's never really been a fan of these things and that's not going to change any time soon or...ever, really.]

...oh wait, she hates everything about this, so that basically is normal. Anyways, she's going to start shaking her head to try and get the bird off before it pecks her or builds a nest or something.]

She taps the cuff on her ear.]
Shaun, you'd better pick up...
[Later, along the grounds, you might see a black fox streaking by, or come up on her wandering more slowly around the edge of the woods. She bares her teeth if you get too close, but with enough patience, she may turn into a person again.]

He taps his ear cuff.]
What are you going to do if I don't?
no subject
Lucky for you, you'll never have to find out. Where are you?
no subject
[Yes, he is being an ass. But he's relieved enough to hear her that he doesn't care that she will almost certainly beat him up when she actually finds him.
After all, she has to find him first. Then she can beat him up.]

...literally as a lioness. There's an angry lioness stalking the halls of the mansions for a little while.
Once she calms down, she manages to turn back into herself, and she can be found sulking on the roof, looking up at the sky.]
Dorian; OTA
[The torment is finally over.]
[Sadly, Dorian was rather shaken by his last challenge, and he desperately needed to calm down. The opium was not an option this time (due to the insane dream he had under its influence) and his favorite yellow book would only remind him of his ordeal. The next best thing he could think of was to crawl onto the bed, curl up, and purr as he attempted to sleep...]
[Wait a minute, he can still turn into a cat?]
[Actually, this seems like the perfect way to spend the rest of the day. It's not every day you get to see the world from a cat's perspective. A rare opportunity that will surely get his mind off things.]
[And so, after he figured out how to remain human long enough to open his door and leave his room, he could be founds wandering about the mansion as a black cat, letting instinct take over for the most part. He could be seen napping on the chairs, jumping onto furniture, and generally enjoying the cat life while he can.]
gently pets the kitty
So, when a small black cat hops up onto the chair beside him as he sits in the library, and curls up with an apparent intention to fall asleep, he is.. surprised.
Surprised enough to reach over and give the creature a gentle little scratch on the head with the tips of his fingernails before he returns to his book. He assumes magic, but doesn't think much more of it.
The downside of animals not liking him is that they certainly won't get close enough for that. A shame, really, because he has nothing against animals in the slightest.]
PET ME
[Dorian looked up to see an elderly gentleman reading next to him, dressed in such a way that could imply he was from an older era. Not that it really mattered at the moment; The important thing was this man was willing to pet a cat.]
[So he jumps onto the man's lap and glances up expectantly.]
no subject
[Stranger and stranger. Cats don't like him. They don't get this close and they certainly don't jump on his lap. Regis reaches carefully for a bookmark, marks his place and sets his book down, observing the cat for a few moments.]
What an odd little creature. [He muses aloud, rubbing the top of the animal's head, down its neck to the dip between the fragile shoulder blades.] Though I certainly know enough about cats to know I'm going to get no more reading done.
[A cat gets in your lap, you pay attention to it. That's the rule, right?]
But, hmm.. where did you come from?

And then sometimes, he's a crow. After adjusting to the initial oddness of it, the sensation of having wings instead of hands and talons instead of feet and hollow bones and just generally being a whole lot smaller than he's meant to be, he mostly takes the opportunity to propel himself skyward with a hoarse caark.
It'll be the closest thing to free that he'll ever get.]
no subject
Why didn't you pull out that trick when we were stuck in that damn pit?
no subject
He does his damnedest not to look sheepish.]
Didn't know I could. I only figured it out when everyone else started doing it.

Since I doubt you could've taken me with you, I suppose it's just as well.

[Or, it was enjoying the peace, until a passing blackbird flew by. A mix of curiosity and instinct came over the cat, and soon it was stalking the bird, ready to pounce.]
:T
Sufficiently unnerved, he takes flight with a beat of his wings.]
:3
[That's how a hunt works.]
[However, at the moment, the ability to fly means that the crow has the advantage. But that's ok. The bird's gotta tire out sometime.]
