[OPEN] Second Lesson

Where: The oasis/jungle and the pyramid
When: Throughout the event! (From the 13th to the 16th!)
Rating: PG so far? It will be edited if need be. Being a DR character, mentions of murder/death could come at some point.
Summary: It's Ishimaru's first event! Let's see how he fares.
The Story:

[Out of the available clothing, Ishimaru ends up wearing the get-up with the high-waisted pants on the far right. Equipped with his kendo shinai along with the supplies he was given, he begins his new journey....]

A. To Explore

[Once more, Ishimaru finds himself waking up in a very unexpected place. At least, just like when he arrived in Wonderland, finding himself outdoors is a relief compared to the times he spent locked in Hope's Peak. He takes some time to regain his bearings and check his supplies.He then begins journeying onwards.

You can come across him when he's using his kendo shinai to try to push aside some foliage in the way.

Or he can approach you with a question:] Excuse me! Are you are aware of where you are right now? Are we anywhere near the mansion?

B. To Survive

[The journey continues onwards. Ishimaru is getting a bit worn, but he's been able to stagger out what food he had, and luckily he knew some tips about surviving in the wilderness from his studies. He makes his way towards the pyramid because of it being the only shelter.

But, during a lull between storms, Ishimaru suddenly finds some very undead interlopers standing in his way. He quickly attempts to fend some off with his shinai and run, but he can only hold them off/evade them for so long...

Or, you may also find him suddenly freezing up during an escape attempt, as if he's lost in some sort of a daydream. One about the Japan of long ago...]

C. To Remember

[Ishimaru made it to the pyramid! Hooray! But there's no time to celebrate, as on the last day, a change comes over the young man. Suddenly, there's a different type of intensity in his expression, and he wields the shinai with a much more trained hand. He searches the pyramid, trying to find someone and suspiciously eying everyone he comes across.]

Where could she have gone...? [He now believes that he is a young samurai who was assigned to bodyguard a certain someone...]

D. Wildcard?

Thought so. So I don't know how to explain this and have it make sense, but the mansion's not coming back for a while.

Agh... I still feel that we can find it if we work hard and keep searching... Do not give up hope yet!

[uncoils]

It's not giving up hope. It's just not coming back for a few days. This whole thing...

[She points over at all the sudden outdoors instead of indoors.]

It turned into this. It does that.

[moraloutrage]

Are... are you saying that the mansion transformed?! If that is so then, it... it must be more than meets the eye!!

[uncoils]

Yeah, but it's not going to roll out anytime soon.

[Look, being American, odds are she saw it at some point. ...she probably saw the Bay movies too, but let's not talk about that one.]

So nobody told you about events?

[moraloutrage]

I was told about events! [He frets uncertainly.]

B-but, perhaps my studies were not sufficient...

[uncoils]

It's all right, don't sweat it.

[No big deal to her, at least he remembers who he is, that's a plus. For her first event, she wasn't so lucky.]

So every so often the mansion grabs something from someone's memory, and pulls some sort of screwed up event out of it. So like this place? It's the mansion, but turned into wherever the hell this is pulled from whoever's memory. Not going to ask you if that makes sense because it doesn't, but you get the idea, right?

[moraloutrage]

This is very unusual, but I understand! [He declares assertively.]

So, we are living out someone else's memory right now! Is that correct?

[uncoils]

Kind of yeah. It's not exact. Like we all went to wizard school, but Harry wasn't there. Or we all went to Neverland and no Peter Pan. That sort of thing.

[moraloutrage]

[He blinks uncertainly, and then he answers when he thinks he understands.]

I am sorry to hear that. But rest assured that I will keep an eye out for your friends, both Harry-kun and Peter-kun!

[uncoils]

They're not my friends, they're...

[She is at a definite loss for words here because what even.]

They're characters. In books. ...maybe they don't exist in your world. Or you just haven't read them?

[There's some normal theories.]

Or maybe you're from a world without books? That'd be crazy.

[There's a Jolyne theory.]

[moraloutrage]

A- a world without books?! [The very concept makes him burst into tears.] I hope that such a place does not exist!!

...I believe that the name of Peter Pan sounds familiar, but I do not read much fictional literature...

[uncoils]

Hey don't cry. Seriously, it's okay. I'm sure you have lots of books, and every world does, and...

[She doesn't even know what to say because wow, he's crying. Way to go Jolyne, you made somebody cry without even trying to.]

So what do you read then?

[moraloutrage]

[Achievement unlocked! At least those tears seem to be drying up quickly as Ishimaru thinks.]

I prefer to read non-fictional books! Any books that can act as valuable study materials are treasures to me!

[uncoils]

[...uh.]

Okay, let's try this again, what do you read when you're not studying?

[moraloutrage]

...Ah, I apologize... Is this a trick question?

[uncoils]

[IS THIS GUY FOR REAL?]

No, but...do...do you have a life outside of studying?

[moraloutrage]

[sweats... looks into the camera like he is in The Office...]

Ah... Why would I ever need such a thing like that? I cannot afford to be distracted from my studies!

[He bows his head.]

Allow me to apologize! That sort of concept has always been difficult for me to understand.

[uncoils]

All right, tell you what. When we get out of here, I'm finding you a hobby.

[moraloutrage]

[He looks shocked by the very idea!]

Is- is that really alright? I still have many things to study here in this new world!

[uncoils]

Who cares if it's all right? You definitely need to get out more.

[..wait.]

Well none of us can really get out of Wonderland, but you know what I mean, right?

[moraloutrage]

I understand your meaning! Hahaha! [He says with a light-hearted laugh.]

Of course, it is not as a if I spend all day in a stuffy environment! [He waves his hands to sway away the possibility.] I am still sure to exercise regularly, and I do practice kendo. I allow the body to study as well as the mind!

[uncoils]

Oh uh...that's good, I guess.

[Not entirely what she meant, but it's...yeah. Don't get her wrong, she doesn't mind school, she was actually looking forward to getting her GED before canon happened, but sometimes you need to put the books down, Ishimaru.]

Here I was thinking you were the type of guy to basically live at school.

[moraloutrage]

That would be an ideal way to live! But, the importance of fresh air also cannot be underestimated...! [So he's not that far gone, but also kinda is at the same time.]

[uncoils]

Doesn't sound ideal to me. I don't hate school, don't get me wrong, it's just, I wouldn't want to live there.

[It sounds too much like being in prison. And having been there, she'd know.]
