Summary: A catch-all log for what dreams are available for people to walk through at night.
The Story:

♥ As of Wednesday, the 19th, all beds in the Mansion (no matter their style or cultural/temporal origin) have been replaced with swinging beds.

♥ But starting Thursday, the 20th, sleeping in the new beds induces vivid dreams, and characters sleeping at the same time will be able to walk into each others' dreams. If a character is a spoilsport and doesn't sleep in the swinging beds, he or she doesn't get to dream walk.

♥ Characters will be able to dreamwalk until Thursday, the 27th.

♥ Leave a description of your characters' dream (or dreams) in top levels on this post so others can comment and walk into their dream, if they choose to go exploring other people's dreams!

A very young Souji wanders into Minato's dreams one night, looking for...he's not sure. His parents, maybe, though he knows that the likelihood of finding them is small. He only wants to get out of his own dream, with the strange silhouettes painted on the floor and the lights and catwalks, like a TV studio.

He's drawn to the blue here in Minato's dream because it feels familiar. The music is soothing and he hums along with it--he knows it, but he's not sure where from.

Minato was on the other side of the table that was located in the center of the room. He was also young, maybe way too young to understand what was happening around him. He was barely able to peek up over the top of that table, seeing a huge book there, and then quickly ducked back down when he heard someone else in the room.

It took him a moment to focus and listen to what he was actually hearing. Someone else knew this song? How could that be?

Slowly he peeked his head around the table, using the long tablecloth as a sort of shield. Oh! He immediately recognized who it was that had entered the room too.

He came out of his hiding spot, and he was little enough that the cards floating in the air were overhead. Then he gave Souji a small smile, the edges tinged with some sadness, before going to hug his friend's arm.

"You're here."

It wouldn't be so lonely then if Souji were here.

Souji smiled and turned to hug Minato back in greeting. Now he understood this room a bit better.

"I'm here."

Minato's smile grew. After he relinquished Souji, he got a better look at the cards floating about.

"That one."

Out of all of the cards, he found the one he was looking for. He pointed at it, up so high, somehow mimicking something he had done before. The card spun in the air so they could only see the back of it, but when it spun back, the number XXI was at the base of the glowing image.

Souji followed the line drawn by Minato's pointing finger and nodded when he saw the card's face.

"That's ours."

Only they shared that one. It was reserved for them.

Minato nodded. Just for them. He felt even more connected to Souji, to this boy that he only met here, but thought he had known for all his life.

"You and me."

It was nice to think about. He thought he remembered being alone and lonely a lot of the time. Souji made all those feelings go away. But suddenly, he blinked and realized something.

"Ne! Can you help me...?"

Minato was too little and short to reach the top of the table where that giant book was, and he indicated over to it. That tome was going to be heavy, but he also couldn't even get to it on his own even if he tried.

Souji peered over the edge of the table at the volume. It was pretty thick. He tried reaching for it, but couldn't get a good hold of it, despite his height advantage. After a moment's consideration, he turned to Minato and stooped beside the table, lacing his fingers together for Minato to use as a step up.

Minato blinked, and quickly realized what Souji was doing for him. He nodded, and with Souji's help, was hoisted up onto the table. It didn't even wobble once he was up there. One could only wonder how it did that, what it was made of, and if it really were a table or something else underneath that tablecloth.

That book really was heavy. But with the two of them hanging onto it, it might be okay. Was it okay too to take the book off the table? It was going to happen though sooner rather than later.

Minato did his best to push the book over to the edge, and held onto it was best he could as he passed it off to Souji.

Souji caught the edges of the book and pulled it down. He set it on the floor as gently as he could, considering how unwieldy it was, then turned back to the table and held out his arms to help Minato down.

Minato didn't have to worry about how to get down from the table when Souji was ready and waiting. He safely made it down, then once settled next to Souji, opened up the book.

The first page wasn't a surprise as he saw a picture of Orpheus and a Fool Tarot card. Minato took a second, then pointed at a floating card that matched the Arcana of his first Persona.

"That one too." That one was also theirs.

Souji nodded, looking from the Persona to the card and back. He touched the page gently.

"I have one, too."

Minato nodded. He flipped through the pages to show Souji all of the Personas that he knew were inside. Somehow he knew they were there.

Near the end of the book, instead of the pages being white with pictures of Personas, all the pages were black. Minato tilted his head slightly at the inky darkness in front of him.

"Ne, yours isn't like this."

Souji watched the pictures flip past, comparing the vague images floating in his own head to these ones. Many of them were the same, but there were some he'd never seen in his life.

"I haven't seen mine...I think." Or at least, he couldn't remember ever seeing a book like this.

Minato didn't see another book around, and that made him frown just slightly.

"Ne, you can share mine. Is that okay?"

Besides, Minato couldn't put the book back on the table on his own, and whoever it was that was taking care of the room--an elevator attendant or two?--probably didn't want to deal with books and other things littering the floor.

Souji thought he should probably be the one asking Minato if it were okay, but he nodded. He didn't mind sharing--there was plenty inside the book to go around.

"...Where are they now?" He nodded at the book, referring to the things it cataloged.

Minato shook his head. He didn't know where they were, though he had the feeling that he knew he was missing them. He didn't quite understand.

Just then, the elevator had come to a stop. Minato looked at the book again as the pages started to turn back on their own, and all the pictures on all the white pages started to fade to blank.

"They went away."

Lots of things went away. Why did things or people have to leave? Did they have somewhere more important to go than being with him? Did they get lost on the way back? Did they not have a choice?

But no matter the answer, no one was ever going to come back. They never did.

Souji frowned as the pages in the book went blank, then turned to Minato and hugged him around the shoulders.

"Mine aren't here." So they were the same.

Besides, Souji wasn't going anywhere. He rested his head on Minato's shoulder to demonstrate that.

Somehow Minato thought he knew exactly what Souji was talking about, and then he didn't again. Something about those pictures in the book and parents and things like that.

But they really were the same? They shared the same cards, they could share the same book, and now this?

Minato hugged Souji back, leaning into him. He didn't cry because he knew that he shouldn't. But Souji could probably guess that he wanted to.

"Do you think I'll go away too?"

Souji shook his head. Why would Minato do that now that they were friends? That would be silly.

And even if Minato did go...

"I'll come find you."

Minato leaned more into Souji, hanging on tight to him as if Souji were a balloon that was going to fly away at any moment.

"Then we won't be alone." Ever again.

Souji nodded.

"I don't like being alone." There usually wasn't anyone at home when he got back. He learned to buy dinner at the convenience store a long time ago.

Minato didn't like it either. He had to learn how to live with being alone though until he thought it was considered normal.

He sighed very softly into Souji.

"I want to go play." Now that he had a companion, then they should do something fun.

Souji nodded and got to his feet, pulling Minato up by the hand. "I know a good place."

Minato looked up at Souji, a bit expectantly and a bit surprised.

"Ne, really? Where can we go?"

They could always leave the elevator, but Minato hadn't thought of anything like that.

"Over where I came from."

Souji got Minato on his feet and led him toward the elevator doors.
