Summary: A catch-all log for what dreams are available for people to walk through at night.
The Story:

♥ As of Wednesday, the 19th, all beds in the Mansion (no matter their style or cultural/temporal origin) have been replaced with swinging beds.

♥ But starting Thursday, the 20th, sleeping in the new beds induces vivid dreams, and characters sleeping at the same time will be able to walk into each others' dreams. If a character is a spoilsport and doesn't sleep in the swinging beds, he or she doesn't get to dream walk.

♥ Characters will be able to dreamwalk until Thursday, the 27th.

♥ Leave a description of your characters' dream (or dreams) in top levels on this post so others can comment and walk into their dream, if they choose to go exploring other people's dreams!

In Eden

Souji wanders into Crowley's Eden from the fog and patently artificial scenery of the TV world. He stops short, staring around in wonder. He's never seen a place like this--the closest thing he's ever seen was Heaven, and he was always far too distracted by the meaning of that place to appreciate the aesthetics.

He has no idea who this place belongs to, so he ventures further into the garden, trying not to disrupt anything but too curious to mind his own business.

Someone else is here. Damn. Bless. Whatever. Crowley is a bit...sensitive about this place, especially considering that the last visitor was America, of all people.

At least it's Souji this time. Crowley hiss-sighs to himself and starts traversing the canopy of the forest as a snake--he's always a snake in Eden. Best to find Souji before the dream can change, or before the enormity of a demon's mind can overwhelm him. Crowley isn't even entirely sure that can or will happen, but he doesn't want to take chances with the people he mildly considers friends.

He reaches a tree with massive leaves, a species that didn't survive long past Eden, and peers down at Souji as he collects his coils on a nice branch.

"You're here too? I tell you, when I wake up I'm not sleeping again until this bloody event is over."

Souji looks up and recognizes Crowley mainly because who else in Wonderland is a snake. He offers a half-smile, a bit on the apologetic side.

"What is this place?"

Crowley sighs again. It's not like Souji is here because he meant to come. This whole swinging bed thing, it's throwing everyone's head into chaos. Crowley's already been in some other dreams that were distinctly Not His.

"It's Eden." Crowley inclines his head a bit, looking off through the trees. "Well, it's how I remember it anyway, so it's inaccurate. No one can ever truly go back there, not even in memories. The real thing was much nicer."

A jaguar pads through the clearing without even seeming to notice Souji, or the herd of antelope passing through the trees nearby. Crowley chuckles.

"Everything living in harmony. Boring, when you get right down to it."

Souji blinks at the jaguar, sorely tempted to try petting it. He manages to Look With His Eyes, Not His Hands only because it's the most he can do at this point to respect Crowley's privacy. It's hard to unsee everything, but he can at least not mess with it.

"You still dream of it, though." Do demons dream? "Or think about it."

The jaguar would be perfectly okay with that. They're used to Adam around here, after all, and Adam is all touchy feely.

Crowley watches as some brightly colored birds fly through the clearing.

"Well, sure. I dream about it. I'm just not allowed to dream it as it really was." Eden is more locked down than Heaven is. Not even angels are allowed there. That's assuming it even exists anymore.

"That seems like a waste." Souji really isn't sure he'll ever understand the Judeo-Christian cosmos with any clarity.

"Do you want me to go somewhere else?"

Crowley quietly thinks it's a waste too. Hell, he still thinks kicking them out of Eden in the first place was really quite harsh...though he supposes he understands now why it happened. Humans needed challenges in order to grow into the interesting little creatures they are today, and they never had any challenges in Eden. Everything in harmony, no need to hunt or build or even wear clothes. No wonder Eve always seemed so unfulfilled.

Crowley's lost in thought and it takes him another moment to respond.

"No, no. You're here already, and I suppose it's not that big a deal. And this place is nicer than some dreams would be, so."

"What else do you dream about?"

Souji's not sure if that question crosses a line, but he figures if it does, Crowley just won't answer it.

If Crowley is offended by the question, he doesn't show it. It sort of helps that snakes don't have very expressive faces.

"...Other things. Not really important, here."

Things are nice here, if grossly nostalgic. You can't really have misery and death in Eden; the two are incompatible.

Souji can respect that.

"I was dreaming about fog."

Crowley tilts his head. "Fog?"

[eatsyourscience]

"Not normal fog. It came out of another world." Souji crosses his arms and looks at the ground for a moment. "Were you around for any of the events with fog? Some of those were mine."

Crowley taps his chin with his tail. "Fog, eh? I remember you claiming the Shadows event and the one with the telly, but fog wouldn't have been the first thing I noticed."

He was too busy dealing with general trauma.

Souji nods. That was most peoples' experience with those.

"In my world, the fog would have turned everyone into shadows. Not the doubles, but the monsters."

[thepointisdolphins]

He hisses quietly. "I think I remember you mentioning that. Monsters and such. I just didn't know inclement weather was involved."

Then again it's not really surprising, considering Souji's world also involves some kind of television dimension and a whole lot of other weird stuff.

"So...the monsters come from people." Unpleasant, to say the least.

"They come from human emotions." Mostly the bad ones.

[thepointisdolphins]

He's quiet for a bit, pondering that. "I see. Makes sense, in a way."

[eatsyourscience]

"Yeah, I guess so. I don't know why it happens that way, though."

[thepointisdolphins]

"Very little about the world makes sense when you think about it." He tries to sound sage, but mostly he just sounds befuddled.

The corner of Souji's mouth quirks up.

"It must make sense to someone."

[thepointisdolphins]

"Of course it makes sense to Someone. But He doesn't usually tell people much of anything."

It's not just God, either. The people who know the most tend to share the least.

"Do you think God exists in all worlds?" Souji's been wondering about this, with the abundance of heavenly-type beings around Wonderland these days.

[thepointisdolphins]

He's quiet for awhile, swishing his tail back and forth over the side of the branch he's on.

"I really...can't speak to that. Hurts my head just to think of it. I'm used to there being one world with one God and where generally all those Bible and Torah stories are, you know. Literal."

"How could they possibly be literal? Like Noah? Were there fewer species of animal then? Or some kind of space-time anomaly...?"
