Who: Human!Darcy
sorryitasedyou or Angel!Erica
seizurings and YOU!
Where:Various
When: Angels/Demons event
Rating: PG for language? Will bump up if needed
Summary: Erica and Darcy wandering around the mansion (catch-all)
The Story:
Darcy:

Darcy is getting more and more confused as the weekend progesses, doing her best to avoid people with wings. Whether or not they do the same remains to be seen. She can be found wandering around the mansion, most of the time with earbuds in or her nose buried in a book trying to pretend that a ton of people didn't just sprout wings.
Erica:

Erica is beyond annoyed. Being an angel carried its own responsibilities, but that meant she had to care about other people and their issues. She has taken to perching on ledges and finding the roof increasingly more appealing than she had before. She doesn't have to deal with people if they aren't around to bug her about stupid things like miracles and guidance.
[ooc: Hit me up with who you want, where, and when. Prose or action both okay.]

Nothing except for that elusive glint of light that sometimes shows up when Hiccup is around. (Someday, he'll catch it.)
Today he hears a small, interesting noise that he's never encountered before, and Toothless is, by his nature, very curious. He turns a corner in the mansion to see Darcy, the noise coming from... somewhere around her head. Toothless only hesitates a moment before he takes a few steps toward her, eyes wide. What's the noise?
toothless!!!!!!! :D
She gives a small smile, going with kindness rather than panic. There's no need to freak out unless it's necessary. Pulling the ear buds out of her ears, she pulls the iPod out of her pocket to pause the music.
"Hey there big guy, what's up?"
8D
What in the...
Toothless rumbles, ears forward, eyes wide. He doesn't look all that frightening, for a dragon, though that can certainly change at a moment's notice. But never with most vikings, unless they're trying to harm him. Or Hiccup, or Astrid. He takes a few more cautious steps forward, sniffing in the direction of the ear buds.
That seems to be where the noise had come from.

"Ooooh... Are you wondering about the music?"
She holds them out and pushes play again, the gentle thrums of a guitar filling the air and a smirk forming on her lips.

Music 1, dragons 0.
But then nothing else happens, aside from the sound continuing, and Toothless steps forward to sniff the ear buds. It's very strange. About as strange as the mansion is on a regular basis, but strange nonetheless. He looks up at Darcy, curiosity satisfied for the moment, and rumbles. What kind of magic is this?

"It's okay, they're harmless."
She eyes the dragon, arching an eyebrow.
"Has anyone shown you a TV because if you think this is crazy... Well..."
no subject
Humans.
He's still getting used to the name. It doesn't suit.
Finally, he shakes his head, once. What's a TV?
no subject
"Follow me."
She moves through the mansion's first floor, hoping the magic of Wonderland wouldn't fail her now. Opening the door to a room, she's glad to see that it had listened, setting up a small theatre with enough space for a dragon to be comfortable.
"Alright, don't freak out. It's like the headphones only better - there are pictures."
And with that, she turns it on, a small smile forming at the sight of the Wizard of Oz on the screen.

For a moment, he puffs up, like he's going to torch the thing for daring to startle him.
But then the Viking doesn't freak out, and nothing else happens besides more noise. And the colors start to change. And... wait, are those people?
Toothless squints, green eyes barely visible as he proceeds at a snail's pace to the movie screen. He reaches up, slowly, and pokes it, taking a hop back as he does so. Nothing happens. What in the world...
no subject
"It's okay, it's... A moving picture with sound?" If that makes sense... "Like a painting with real people?" Again, may or may not be helping things out at all. "Either way, it's totally harmless." Unlike some of the things in Wonderland.

It's one of the more pleasant surprises in Wonderland, honestly. He turns his head to trill at Darcy, ears perked forward.
Do vikings watch this kind of thing very often, he wonders, where she comes from?
no subject
Ya know, TVs used to be not as cool as this... They used to be super bulky and only got like three channels. But now, at least at home, you can watch pretty much anything and everything you could ever want. People spend hours and hours just staring at it. It can be pretty consuming sometimes.
[Like reality shows or really bad sitcoms, they were like horrible car accidents that you just can't look away from... For seven hours.]

Perhaps they don't even have dragons where she comes from. Toothless has been hearing about that more and more. He makes a disbelieving, snuffly noise, looking back to Darcy.
Why stare at a light box for so long?
Sorry, my brain was in action spam mode
She smiles, hoping that he's actually understanding her and she's not just basically talking to herself.
"When I lived in New Mexico with Jane, we didn't spend a lot of time watching tv. When she wasn't doing science-y things, we were looking at the sky - at the stars."
<3
Even if the Nightfury's never paid much attention to the details of them, he knows that vikings are very fond of the lights in the sky. For some reason.
no subject
"So, do you have friends here? People from your home?"
no subject
Toothless is happy to have Hiccup along for this particular venture. He's always happy to have the viking close by — hence the harness, and not the special fin Hiccup had made that allowed him to fly by himself. But this place is confusing, indeed, and the Nightfury likes having something familiar around.
It helps the dragon not to feel overwhelmed, as he had when he'd first arrived and hadn't seen Hiccup yet.

"Well, if for some reason things go wonky or you know, get Wonderland-y..." That's a word, right? "I'm on the 7th floor - room 27." Unless he can't read numbers which could make it tricky. "Or you know, just holler and I'll try and help you out."
no subject
And he's pleased that Darcy is in their number.
She's shown him some neat things, today.
