+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: GENERAL NON-PARTY MINGLE POST +

Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: Everywhere that isn't one of the parties! Both Sides!
When: Sept 1st to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.

Please also see THE FOURTH WALL MASTER POST for rules, information, and all the fun parties you can visit!
The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.

Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

High-tech dodge balls? Really?

[ Natasha's voice is wry as she saunters in the door in time to catch the end of that, her gaze curious and intent when she spots him, taking in everything. ]

What do you think this is? High school gym class?
hatesuhoh: (Seriously then-There's no pool?)

[Clint chuckles as he aims another arrow off in a seemingly random direction, allowing it to clip three different surfaces before knocking the moving target out of the air. After a moment of bobbling, it rights itself again and continues zipping about.]

It's a training technique the fearless leader implemented to prove I could kick everyone's butts with a ball and that his probability whats-it could predict a sure-fire outcome to success. But mostly the first thing.

[He turns and freezes, caught staring at...]

Uh... but you already know that. Because... You cut your hair?

I do that sometimes. Last time I checked, haircuts were still legal. Expected, even.

[ She saunters towards him and stops a few feet away, arms crossed over her chest as she takes him in with an intent look, smirk lingering on her lips. ]

But the simpler explanation is you know a different version of me.

[ Simpler? Riiiight. ]
hatesuhoh: (We're surrounded by crazy people.)

Simpler? Riiight... Because that's totally a thing any normal person would conclude out of all this.

[Sigh. It is exactly what Natasha would conclude.]

Okay, okay. So, you're one of those different universe people the Wonderland For Dummies book at the entrance was talking about? This isn't just a little weird to you?

Oh, it's a lot weird.

[ She smiles at his commentary, amusement evident in her gaze as she comes to lean against a nearby training dummy. ]

For one, you talk way more than the Clint I know. But this isn't the first time I've encountered it. When I arrived, there was another Natasha here, from another universe. Similar, but not the same.

So, my alternate ego is the strong and silent type? Okay, I think I can handle that. He's still dashing, right?

[Clint raised an eyebrow at her.]

TWO of you? One of you is crafty enough. I feel bad for the team here. So did you two go creeping around doing super-duper spy things together? --you smile more than my Natasha, by the way.

Strong and silent type wouldn't be my first choice of a description, no. I'm not sure that fits anyone on our team - we're all far from silent. [ As anyone who has listened in on their comms during a mission would learn very quickly. ] He thinks he's dashing. Does that count?

Your Natasha doesn't smile? [ She cocks her head to the side as she regards him over that, curious. ]
hatesuhoh: (We're surrounded by crazy people.)

[personal profile] hatesuhoh 2016-09-08 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, now you sound more like the Natasha I know. [Thinks he's dashing? Psh, he's sure he's totally dashing, then.]

Nah, she's more of a serious, doom and gloom type. I mean, I can tell when she's smiling, but it's more of a lack of a glare. [He shrugs. He's just lucky his Natasha isn't here to hear him or he'd sorely regret this conversation.] She smirks, though. But usually only when I fall off something or Hulk is trying to smash me.

[ She rests her case. ]

Sounds like she'd be smirking a lot, then.
hatesuhoh: (I thought he was the smart one.)

[personal profile] hatesuhoh 2016-09-15 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey that's--! ...yeah, okay. I can't argue that.

[He shrugs easily, not too bothered by it. It was too easy to fall into a comfortable atmosphere with any Natasha, apparently.]

To clarify, it's more the Hulk trying to smash than the falling off things... thing. I might maybe antagonise a bit. Okay, a lot.

[He's like the squirrel that chitters at the dog and runs up the tree knowing it can't catch it.]

You? Antagonize? I don't believe it.

Although really, you could pick better targets. Stark is so much more fun to antagonize than the Big Guy. Also less likely to end up with you imitating a pancake.
