+ For Glory! For Death! +
Who: EVERYONE & Unwanted Guests
Where: The Grounds & The Palace
When: August 27th to 29th
Rating: PG-13 to R for fighting, violence, and death
Summary: Attackers from other realms threaten the Asgardian palace and your very lives! This is where you fight or flee, the place for all your combat mingle needs.
The Story:
+ Day 3 : Rock Trolls and Ogres +

Rock Trolls and Ogres are strong, tough and surprisingly fast, with great muscular bulk. Their sight is keen, and they hunger for human flesh. Fortunately they are lacking in tactical skill, and few to none will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x ) ( x )
+ Day 4 : Frost Giants +

The Forst Giants will scare off yesterday's attackers almost entirely, bringing a greater threat to the palace. They are faster and stronger still, and skilled in cryokinesis. One touch by their hand might freeze a warrior whole, if they don't stop the spread of cold on time. Several of their numbers will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x )
+ Day 5 : Dark Elves +

The Dark Elves are the last and greatest threat to Asgard. They rely on stealth and deadly energy weapons, their strength and craftiness yet unparalleled. They are weak to iron, and any warrior would be lucky to discover this weakness on time. They infiltrate the palace from the caves, and nearly all of their numbers will attack from the inside. ( x )

Because they usually are wrong and ...well you are dangerous. [He placed a finger over Jon's lips to stop him from going off.] Not intentionally. At least... I believe that... now. It's just logically, yes, you are more dangerous than the average human and people are wary, my father included. He even has contingencies in place for your father. A man he trusts that man with his life. So, no, I don't truly believe you are monstrous.
[Well maybe at first but opinions can change!] That title can remain mine. [He groaned softly and lowered his hand.] I know you can't help who you are. [He understood wanting to change one's self so badly.] But yes, fine I realize now that perhaps throwing that Batarang at you was a ...miscalculation.
[That was the closest Jon was going to get to an apology but Kent was beating himself up and the realization that he was the one causing it made that annoying cold feeling stir in his stomach. The feeling he got when he disappointed father or Grayson. A feeling Jon was NOT supposed to incite.
He growled softly in frustration and started to forcibly lead Kent down the hall by his hand.]
One of my rooms it over there. [He pointed to room 48 as they passed it, then squeezed Jon's hand.] Stop being so dramatic.
no subject
go figure. but damian shuts him up, and jon is definitely more than capable of removing his hand--but he doesn't. damian is talking, it's rude to interrupt. so he lets him finish, first, looks over to the room he was gesturing over to when they pass it and makes a mental note that damian's about four doors down from him. what a coincidence. --wait a second. )
One of? How many rooms do you have? ( his gaze shifts down to eye damian's hand on his own, brows furrowed. ) You're not monstrous. Just different. There's nothing monster-like about you, you know.
( damian's just a kid. a kid being raised under batman, which explains a lot of his. . issues, as far as jon is concerned, but still a kid regardless. even if he's really smart, resourceful, and has a bad attitude. )
no subject
[Damian said as if this should be obvious, then he looked over when Kent said there was nothing monster-like about him. Did he just forget that Damian almost killed him? Or did he honestly think Damian was just playing with him?
...This world would eat you up if not for your powers Kent.]
No, can't say that I do know. This your room? [He stopped outside room 52 and dropped Kent's hand to fold his arms.]
no subject
Yeah. ( pulling his hand out of damian's, jon twists open the door knob and takes a step inside. the room itself is much like his room back home was; movie posters on the walls, the floor is already a mess, a desk under the window, gaming consoles plugged into a tv on one side of the room, action figures all over the place--a door leading to the bathroom, one leading to the closet, and then a third leading to--a second closet? that's probably the only noticeable thing off from his room back home. )
Ready to play?
no subject
Lets.
[This Damian had never seen Jon's room, but it was around as childish looking as he expected. Where Damian normally had weapons or his own sketches lining the walls, Jon had posters of cartoons or Superman paraphernalia. The action figures stood in place of where Damian would normally keep trophies he collected from missions or defeats like the Hood's helmet.]
Why do you have two closets?
no subject
the room inside matches closely to the fortress of solitude--just a loot smaller. it's big enough to fit maybe three people people in it with space to move around; it has an extra superman jacket folded on top of the small drawers to the side, but not much else. ) I haven't really thought of stuff I should put in it yet though.
no subject
First problem is it is far to accessible. If someone were to come in your room they could easily open this door and there goes your secret identity.
[He instantly started to lecture.]
Luckily you haven't filled it with much so they'll just think you have a Superman fan room...which could act as a good cover, but still not solid enough. If you must have it in the same room then atleast put something infront of it to hide it. A book shelf. A large piece of furnature. A large obnoxious Superman sculpture. Something.
no subject
the dresser's set down a few inches away so he can slide the door shut, before he judges it easily into place with the toe of his sneaker. ) There, is that better? I don't know why you've always gotta act like I've made some huge mistake, no one's going to come into my room and inspect the extra doors. .
And even if they did, I could just heat vision the metal of the lock into the wall so it won't open, and fix it later.
no subject
It's not and I'm preventing it from becoming one. You're new to this and I saw an error. For someone with impenetrable skin, I can be pretty thin.
[He poked Jon's cheek before making his way over to the actual closet and closed himself in. There were a few thumps, a muttered curse and silence before he came back out in civilian clothes and a backpack for his Robin gear. He pointed to the cape Jon was still wearing and crooked his finger.]
As for what to put in it? A sun lamp? In case you're ever hurt and the sun is out? Sure it's hard to hurt you, but in this place it's best to be prepared, no?
no subject
but right, the jacket, he should probably take that off if they're done fighting ogres and stuff. he unzips and pulls it off easily enough, throwing it into. the small clothes pile he's already got started towards the corner of his bed, undershirt following after it before he's grabbing onto the red shirt that had been. left in that pile already. he'd only worn it for a few hours, so it's probably fine, right?
where the heck are they supposed to get their laundry done here, anyway. he pulls that shirt on over his head, grabs the hat from on top of his nightstand to shove it onto his head, and the glasses sitting next to it--completing the whole transformation from superboy to jon kent. )
Oh, I didn't even think about that.
no subject
Does a tanning bed have the same effect or no? [It was actually something he had been kinda curious about.]
no subject
jon follows him to the tv though, sits down next to him and turns on the monk-e monsters console and hands damian a remote while keeping the other one in his hands. damian gets controller 1, obviously. because clearly he needs to be in control at all times. )
no subject
[Damn right he needs to be. He selected two players and started to pick his character.]
You say I got you this for Christmas?
no subject
( he waits for damian to finish loading into the two player select screen before scrolling through some of the characters and picking whichever one was wearing the most blue. today is a blue-outfit hero kinda day. )
no subject
The character in on screen did a small cut scene and stood ready for the mission, Damian may have looked like his mind was else where, yet when his character is attacked, he dodges perfectly and counters.]
I'll bring a scale. Knowing your weight would make the math easier.
no subject
jon pulls his knees up to his chest, arms wrapping around them and hands holding onto the controller in front of him as he rests his chin between his knees and rushes through the level. )
no subject
Watch where you're going, Kent. [He said with a smirk as his character ran past to continue the objective.]
no subject
( as it is, the bomb explodes, killing his character and sending him back to the starting line. . thanks damian. )
no subject
[Okay, he might've snickered a little at your outburst.]
Isn't this your game? Shouldn't you know how to play?!
[Now now, don't be a sore loser Kent. Just get good.]
no subject
Maybe you should stop being a smart alec, you. . twerp-zilla!!
no subject
Maybe you should stop being such a sore Super LOSER!
[He stuck his tongue out at Jon and continued to try and stubbornly play the game with one hand.]
no subject
I wouldn't've died if you hadn't killed me! Just--just like you tried to do earlier! And you were cheating then, too! You. . super cheater!
no subject
Shut up, Kent! I said it was a miscalculation! STOP BEING SUCH A SUPER BABY!
[He panted a bit because goddammit Kryptonians in a rage were heavy! He moved a leg up between them to push at Kent's chest and turn on his side. A smirk on his lips and his tongue poked out as he tried to stay focused on the game.]
You only died because you didn't dodge a damn bomb! Try some common sense next time!
no subject
I wouldn't need to dodge a bomb if you'd act more like my friend and partner and less like a--an enemy!
( jon puffs up his chest, considers just using his freeze breath to freeze damian so he can get to the remote, but--doesn't. that's abuse of power, and not something he wants to partake in. )
no subject
Keeping you on your toes Kent! [He was still smirking because honestly, the added challenge of this wall was kinda fun to him. He raised his other leg to Kent's chest and let go of the remote to grab the boy's head. He yanked him with a grip on his hair and legs lift the boy up, he then he flipped him off with all the grace and skill of a Robin.]
And this partner thing? Still working out the kinks. [He said breathlessly then at Jon but left the remote open.]
