The puppy gets to go home
Who: Newt and YOU!
Where: Anywhere. Newt is running about touching rifts to try and get himself back to Wonderland each time it passes.
When: Duration of the event
Rating: PG will update if anything changes
Summary: The moment Newt finds himself in one moment of Hogwarts, even Hogwarts future, he will keep working to get there again. This leaves openings for so many moments in Hogwarts - as well as any other event you want to throw at him! Open for anything.
The Story:
The first time Newt sees one of the shimmering rips, he is hesitant. The last one like that he saw led to him seeing Tina executed. Because of him.
Yet Newt's own nature gets the better of him, and he can't resist moving closer. Not even realizing he's touched it until he finds himself standing in the middle of a very familiar classroom. Nothing seems to have changed in potions since he himself attended Hogwarts.
Laughing, he starts exploring a school he knows well, seeking out whatever changes their might be. Exploring the quidditch pitch on foot and with broom, the classrooms, even seeking out the Hufflepuff common room, delighting in a chance to be back at Hogwarts since he was kicked out.
Whenever he finds himself back in Wonderland though, Newt starts seeking out other of those rips, trying to find his way back to Hogwarts. It is taking the chance with whatever kinds of worlds and events he might experience, but that's worth it in his mind to find Hogwarts again.

Snakes only, no badgers allowed!
Bad news, Newt has found himself in the Slytherin house. And not just any old Slytherin house he recognizes: this particular variation has been decorated with comfortable sofas and dazzling lights, courtesy of a student who only existed in Wonderland's dreams, that give the dreary dungeon a more welcoming glow.
There, reclining on one of the sofas with a book, was Dorian Gray; a 6th year "pureblood" whose uniform indicates he belongs in this house. He casually glances up from his reading, peering at the scenery, before silently confirming to himself that all was right in the world...
He hadn't noticed the presence of a Hufflepuff in the room. Not yet.
Badgers sneaking all up in this place. Oops.
Even as he realizes where he is. Oh.
For a moment he forgets that this isn't his Hogwarts, or even his time at Hogwarts. He remembers one person in that moment, even with the bright and actually kind of well needed changes to Slytherin's common room.]
Leta Lestrange.
[Whispering her name before he catches himself, heaving a soft sigh.
If he were to admit to missing anything other than his creatures, losing her picture was painful. No matter how his possession of it after all these years, and after her betrayal, looked.]

"Leta Lestrange," he parrots back, letting the name roll off his toungue. That definitely sounds like someone who belongs in this house, but he doesn't quite recognize the name. Must be a first year.
"I take it, she was the one who allowed you to come here?"
no subject
"Actually she is likely to not even be speaking to me, though I don't think she still attends here. "Might I ask what year it is?" He's assuming this is during James and Peter's time here, years after Newt's own. If that's the case, Leta is long graduated from Hogwarts, though she may have family here.
"Bit different than I remember this common room though. Not to say I was here much. Just once, honestly."
I don't think the last hogwarts event had a set date so I'll just add lib here.
"What year is it?" Dorian repeats in a small fit of exasperation, "Have you been fiddling around with a time turner? That's a ridiculous question to ask."
Oh, yes. The decorations must have thrown the Hufflepuff off. "You can thank Mettaton for that. He actually invented his own brand of decorations to liven this place up." He smirks, not really taking into account how strange a name like Mettaton is for a human student. "It's a huge improvement, don't you agree?"

Mikan has found herself in one of those empty classrooms, clapping with sheer delight. For now, her memories are unaffected, but she remembers having a grand time in that event. If she had to replay one, this would be it, as it was a time of great friendship.
"Oh, this is wonderful!" She says as she claps.
no subject
"It's positively wonderful, isn't it? I haven't seen these walls in so long," he says with a sigh. "But it's like almost nothing has changed."
Of course it's an event, but not from his time. Not the school he knew, but that others he'd met had known.

His smile widens at the comments about the school. "Good or bad, it's a wonderful place. Even when it doesn't go like you want it to." His head cants slightly to one side. "Were you not a real student in your world?"

hufflepuff common room for two hufflepuffs omg
Newt Scamander, though, is someone familiar. "Aye, Newt! Where are we? What castle is this?"
no subject
"Welcome to Hogwarts," he says, fairly well bouncing to his feet and closing the distance between them. "It is a school used to educate the young in my world who show an aptitude for magic. My own alma mater, as a matter of fact. I've been told Wonderland took people here once before, and some of those glowing gaps seem to bring us back here."

Jamie knows that Newt's some sort of wizard but he never expected they'd have a whole school of them. Still, the room he's in now feels entirely too cozy for a damned castle and he wonders if this is another trick of witchcraft; if it is, he likes it.
"They think my wife is a witch, ye ken. She's good with medicines and such and they call her the White Witch."
no subject
In truth he looks positively green at the idea, hating the idea.
"Potions and herbology. That is the classes she would likely be best at here. I was much better at transfiguration."

"Hello?"
no subject
That questioning greeting though has him turning on heel, seeking out the source, and a familiar source it is. "Mr Reddington," he said with a bright smile and a bit of a wave. "Welcome to Hogwarts."
no subject
Newt gets a smile anyway, "Hogwarts, I take it you know it then?"
Whether he knew it from Wonderland or before Wonderland, was the most important question on his mind now.
no subject
He turns slowly, looking up at the vaulted ceiling. "They told me when I arrived that there was an event about the school. One of the better ones, from what I can tell. No one died that I've been told."
Which for someone who died almost as soon as they arrived, that means a lot. "Kind of like the space station. It's happy memories for some here."

So instead she looks around for the culprit and spies a man from when she first appeared in Wonderland.
"...Mr. Scamander?"
no subject
"Gryffindor. Oh, that's delightful, and not at all surprising. I would ask you not take risks then here, but we all act as we are, right?" Amusing himself with that comment before gesturing around. "Welcome to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry."
no subject
Kayo...doesn't know what to make of that, but she's quickly learned better than to just blurt out that things aren't real in Wonderland. She looks a little skeptical, but holds her tongue this time.
"...What's Gryffindor?" she asks instead.
He had called her that and said something about risks, but she still had no clue what that's supposed to mean exactly. He had known as soon as he saw her robes though, so she looks down at them again, as if that will make it make more sense to her.
no subject
"As for Gryffindor, your robes say that you've been sorted to that house." Again, as if that is normal. "I'm Hufflepuff, but the house doesn't matter. Not right now. You should explore this place, and who you can be here. You'll love it." He hopes.

dining room;
Somebody has already activated one, as it seems, when Chloe takes a step into what it supposed to be the dining room and instead finds herself in a massive hall. She freezes, her eyes moving up to scan across the cathedral high ceilings, candles that seemed to float in mid air, and endless tables. Chloe's eyes widen and she drops her gaze down to herself, realizing her clothes have been replaced with a black robe that had yellow edging and some kind of crest on it. Her eyes trace down further, lifting her hand to find she is holding a... stick.
"Oh... kay." Chloe heaves a sigh, dropping her hand slightly as she stares out over the table. "Hello? Newt? It's Chloe. Please tell me this is you screwing around."
dining room;
Smiling a bit as he came to sit down at the dining table, glancing up at the candles floating above their heads. "But it is my school, Hogwarts. All of the magic and the beauty of a castle in Scotland."
His gaze dropped to her face. "Come on. Don't you want to try and use your stick and see what it does?"
dining room;
That, and something else. Something that makes her heart jump in her throat. "Wait... This is where you're from, right? You're world? How did we get here?"
And how was that fair? Why couldn't she have walked into her own world, back where she belonged? For some reason, Chloe felt almost bad thinking it, guilty that she so quickly forgot Seth and her friends when it came down to the idea that she could go home. At the same time, her heart ached for Trixie, just to see her again.
"Before I try anything I need to know what's going on."
dining room;
"It won't last. only about an hour or so, but for now, it's Hogwarts. For now, we're just in the school and so far magic has worked for all here. So... it's just another event, but they're all seeming to overlap at once. I've been in others and..."
The line of his mouth tightens, shaking his head. "Not good."
