Summary: The Red Queen has thrown a carnival for everyone!
The Story:


From Friday, March 9, through Friday, March 16, the gardens and grounds of the Mansion will be a sprawling a carnival. The masked, unspeaking vendors will be selling trinkets and running free game booths. Carnival rides, exhibits, and foods represent all of the various cultures of those currently residing in the Mansion.


Of particular note, and perhaps incongruously, everything is decorated with red hearts.

Well then, maybe it'll just have to be who's better.

[Still confident. Though women have an edge on average with long range shooting...this ain't long range. ]

Lady gets to pick the game. [Ch-chivalry?]

Oh, now you're being generous. I like that.

[Her eyebrows rise and fall quickly. A quick glance at a stall to one side.]

How about the duck hunt. Seems like fun.

[She's looking at the games, he's looking at Horrible Prizes. Is that a pillow shaped like a cheeseburger? That has potential. He nods. ]

Looks good. [He approaches the attendant, and gets the toy rifle, offering it out to her.] Ladies first.

[She takes the toy gun herself, her attention split between Frank and the conveyor belt. If he asked her, she could probably tell him what color every stuffed dog on the second shelf was, but she didn't look at any of them openly.]

What a gentleman.

[She raises he gun, taking aim along the barrel, her first shot flattening a duck.]

[Okay, in spite of himself, he's impressed. That was nice shooting, fast and smooth and accurate. That'll show on his face for a second, before he flattens it out. ]

Not bad. [That's all you get. His turn, just as fast, just as accurate.]

Not bad yourself. [She cocks her head.] Does raise the question of how we break a tie.

[He snorts. ] In the Marines, we settled it with pushups. [Because of course they did.] We could, I don't know, flip a coin if that would be more civilian.

[He has no idea how civilians do shit. And looking at how they've been running Hell's Kitchen, yeah, he really suspects they just don't get anything done.]

Flipping a coin doesn't seem very sporting. Then it's just luck. On the other hand, you night actually have the advantage if we started doing pushup.
