Summary: The Red Queen has thrown a carnival for everyone!
The Story:


From Friday, March 9, through Friday, March 16, the gardens and grounds of the Mansion will be a sprawling a carnival. The masked, unspeaking vendors will be selling trinkets and running free game booths. Carnival rides, exhibits, and foods represent all of the various cultures of those currently residing in the Mansion.


Of particular note, and perhaps incongruously, everything is decorated with red hearts.

Yeah, I honestly wasn't even weirded out by Wonderland when I first got here. Wasn't til it had been a few weeks and I still hadn't figured out how to get home that I started to worry.

[Normally he solves these things in like 20 minutes! He smiles at her.]

I'm really glad you came back.

And now you've been in Wonderland for a really long time despite being one of the smartest people I've ever met and working hard on this big mystery. Is it hard being here?

( Clementine pauses with a slow smile as he says what he does, and she ducks her head, but she's still smiling. )

You are? I'm really glad I came back too. I missed you... y'know, when I could remember I'd lived two years away.

[krmvgivv]

Sometimes. [He glances down, rubbing his arm.] Don't get me wrong, I'm so glad to have met you and everyone else, but... I'd like to not be thirteen forever.

[rightcall]

You shouldn't have to be thirteen forever. ( and she's glad to have met him too, she's glad ot have found a family here, she's glad for safety and for happiness how ever temporary. ) This place isn't real. I mean, we're meant to grow older with the years and to remember what we go through. Not to stay the same and forget.

[krmvgivv]

But it's still better for you here. And for a lot of people. [Just not for him.]

[rightcall]

I know, and I'm glad to be here while I can be. ( she squeezes his hand tight cause. they're still holding hands. ) Better doesn't make it real though. ( and she knows none of this is going to last. it can't possibly if it's fantasy. that doesn't mean it's not important. that doesn't mean she's not incredibly glad to have met him, met his sister, to be part of georgia's team, to have michonne in her life, to have the family she's had here that she doesn't have where she's from, but-

it's temporary. she smiles as they reach the start of the line to the twisty roller coaster. )

[He smiles and squeezes her hand back.]

Ready to ignore all our problems and get lost in pure adrenalin?

[rightcall]

( Clementine grins and starts forward, dropping his hand as she picks up speed. )

Hell, yeah! Race you to the finish.

[krmvgivv]

Hey! [He's grinning as he races after her and absolutely loses. He is faster than he was at the beginning of that long ago summer in Gravity Falls, but that was a pretty low bar.]

[rightcall]

( Clementine grins as she waits at the roller coaster for him with her elbows against the railing where the roller coaster is at. She looks down at him, gesturing towards the coaster. )

There you are. ( look, she can tease sometimes. she pushes herself off and walks backward toward the coaster. ) Time to take this thing for a spin.

[krmvgivv]

Not my fault you're a cheater. [He grins back, though, not all that bothered really. He'd have cheated too if he'd thought of it first. He pauses, catching his breath for a minute, then straightens.]

Ok! How do you feel about sitting in the front?

[rightcall]

( Clementine laughs, not even denying her cheating ways. She kind of wears it proudly honestly. She glances up towards the front with a smile. )

I feel like that's probably the best place to sit. Front row for all the twists and turns and hills. ( She slides into the front row, sitting down and buckling in. )

[krmvgivv]

Yep. Well known to be the scariest place to sit. [Which is to say, definitely the best.] There's usually a camera somewhere along the way, so look out.

[rightcall]

You mean be sure to strike a good pose for the camera? ( Clementine asks before she slides into her seat and buckles up with a smirk. ) Got it.

[krmvgivv]

Sure, if you can find it on time. Sometimes the pose is just… [He makes an exaggerated terror face.] Which is also funny.

[rightcall]

( Clementine laughs as she buckles in and the roller coaster starts. ) Okay, maybe I'll just go for that- ( She tries for a terror face of her own as the coaster starts upward. )

[Dipper grins.] Sure, try and hold it the whole time.
