Summary: The Red Queen has thrown a carnival for everyone!
The Story:


From Friday, March 9, through Friday, March 16, the gardens and grounds of the Mansion will be a sprawling a carnival. The masked, unspeaking vendors will be selling trinkets and running free game booths. Carnival rides, exhibits, and foods represent all of the various cultures of those currently residing in the Mansion.


Of particular note, and perhaps incongruously, everything is decorated with red hearts.

Georgia nods, satisfied that they're all legitimately on board. She's... not entirely comfortable with it. Double dates have always been, for obvious reasons, not an option. But she supposes now is as good a practice run as any.

She reaches for Shaun's hand with a sort of determined deliberateness. Someday, doing this in front of other people may feel natural. For the moment, even among friends who know their not-exactly-a-secret, it feels as daring a PDA as sex on the ferris wheel.

"Sounds fun."

Shaun nods and twines his fingers with George's, squeezing her hand gently, and with the same determination. They're not keeping secrets here. Anyone who wants to say something can fucking say it.

"You guys check out any of the carnival games yet? How rigged are they, do you think?" This is Wonderland, after all. It could be fine, or they could be paying with memories. Who even knows?

"Well, Wonderland does like to make sure it wins its games."

Said with no lack of bitterness because Wonderland? You suck.

"I'm sure it can't hurt to at least try? Maybe the place will go easy on us for once."

Her gaze glances down at Georgia and Shaun's joined hands, and her own grip tightens a little around Lucifer's, keeping him close. She thinks it's kind of funny, the sort of comfort and companionship people seek out in their lives.

And here are a fallen angel and a miracle, double dating with not blood-related siblings. It is far from conventional, but it works.

"Hopefully if we do win, it will be a conventional carnival prize and not a Wonderland special." She doubts she is alone in waiting for the other shoe to drop. "I wouldn't mind one of those stuffed bears," she adds, giving Lucifer a pointed look. If he's going to play doting boyfriend for a while, she's going to milk it for all it's worth.

Georgia looks over at Shaun, quirking an eyebrow over her sunglasses.

"So you're aware, if you win me a bear you have to carry it."

She does not want a bear.
