The Story:

The first day is going to go by a little bit better than the days afterwards, after day one is when it's gonna get pretty gruesome and also Isaac's mental stability is quickly going to be deteriorating until the final day when he gets bit. ]

[ He's not used to being human, to being so weak again. Still it doesn't keep him from trying to help the ones he likes. Bright blue eyes hold shock when she helps him, but he takes her hand without questioning it. He likes her, even if she is a hunter... Even if she'd probably try to kill him if she knew what he normally is.

She's an itching reminder of the things he's lost in his life, just as Melissa McCall was... She makes him want to scratch the scab off all the memories whenever she does anything remotely mom-ish at him.

He utters a "thanks" when she helps him up. Then he's giving their bitey friends a glance before moving to follow Ellen's lead. ] You're taking this a lot better than everyone else. [ Than he is, to be honest. He'd already freaked out, pretty badly actually. ]

[Ellen snorts. She wipes off her blade on a bit of cloth that she'd scavenged from places that she's not going to tell the kid about. Tucking it into her back pocket, she takes a deep breath, rolling her shoulders.

Ellen shakes her head at him.]

Are you kidding? Zombies are easy. Give me a straight up zombie fight any day of the week. Demons, Ladies in White, ghosts, poltergeists, they're a pain in the ass. Zombies? Swing from the hip and take out the head.
