The Grand and Splendiferous Ghost Log of 2013
Who: The Ghosts of Years Yet to Come and YOU!
Where: Anywhere. Everywhere.
When: December 15th - December 25th
Rating: G for Ghosts, Proceed With Caution!
Summary:
The Story:
And so it begins.
Throughout the mansion faded images will flicker in and out – ghosts of Wonderland's future. These ghosts can be of anyone, from any point in the next five years. They will play on repeat, as Wonderland's Chess Piece Ghosts have in the past, and they will offer brief glimpses into the future for anyone who witnesses them.
They cannot be stopped, and the images cannot be changed or altered. This isn't to say that the future can't eventually be changed, of course, but there is nothing that anyone can do over the course of this event that will change the contents of these imprints.

Summary:
• This log is intended to give everybody a good overview of where in Wonderland which ghosts can be found. It can be used as a reference for other posts, or to thread encounters too short to warrant their own entry.
• To help browsing all ghosts easily, please put [Name of Ghost Character] - [Location of Ghost in Wonderland] into the subject line, so everybody can immediately see who they'll encounter, and where.
•If you have any more questions about the ghosts, or the Christmas event in general, go ahead and post a comment to our Q & A thread!
• In short, STEP 1: Posts with ghosts! STEP 2: ?!?! STEP 3: PROFIT!

Alphonse Elric | the library
[He mutters to himself as he works, rubbing at his eyes as if that would erase the heavy circles beneath them. The formulas and circles he sketches out would seem arcane to most, and certainly out of place next to textbooks of anatomy and physiology.]
Just have to pull their personalities back...he didn't have a soul of his own, but he should still be in there, right...?
[He sets down the pen and rests his head in his hands, shoulders shaking.]
But what'll I do for the price? There's barely anything left to offer...haha, I could lure the Jabberwocky into the circle. It'd be about as safe as the Gate anyway...
[He sighs, and the image replays.]

He opened his mouth to ask Al what he was doing and closes it when the ghost started talking, showing that it was another one of those weird things popping up everywhere.
As he listened, he turned pale. He knew damn well what future!Al was contemplating and he moved closer to see the books, not that he really needed the confirmation.
After a few more plays, he pulled out his comm to call Greed.::
Greed, I just found a future ghost of Al in the library.
::Then he turned it off and put it away, folding his arms across his chest to watch the ghost with a blank look on his face. Greed could come or not, as he chose.::
[He's seen more than enough as it is.]
Re: [video]
It's... not as bad as some.
::Like the one of his Mirror getting eaten.::
Although I think I'm going to point out to Al later that we have no way of getting Red Stones. Help making potential for this less likely.
::He rubs at his face tiredly.::
no subject
[Not that Greed can't imagine circumstances where he might let one of his alchemists use the Stone that's in him- in fact, it's become remarkably easy to imagine these past few days- but he's definitely not going to offer it up before any of those things have happened.]

::Damn, he didn't really mean to say that out loud. Ed looks at the Al ghost and moves away.::
Fuck it, I'm getting away from this thing. It's getting to me.
::Ed moves to another part of the library where there's plenty of shelves blocking his view and where he can't hear Al. Not that Al's very loud anyway.::
Guess I should go into the homunculii from my world a bit beyond that they're usually from someone fucking up.
::Assuming Greed shows interest and didn't decide to hang up on him. But then, he could always call him back.::

::Ed waits for a couple of minutes until it's clear Greed isn't answering, at which point Ed heads down to the basement, with a stop by a closet along the way.
When he gets there, he raps on the door with his right hand, letting Greed know who was there before he's even opened his mouth.::
Hey Greed? I've brought alcohol.
[action]
Re: [action]
::That's a touch drily with some humor.::
Now c'mon, do you really want me drinking an entire bottle of whiskey by myself?
no subject
[So now Greed finally opens the door. He grabs the bottle out of Ed's hands. Then he closes the door.]
no subject
::Ed sticks his left foot in the way of the door actually making it all the way shut. What? It's not like Greed'll hurt that one.::
Talk to me instead of hiding, please? Doesn't have to be about the crap that's been showing up everywhere, 'cause I don't think either of us really wants to talk about it.
no subject
no subject
I'll get some glasses for the whiskey, hey? Don't think we need to be drinking out of the bottle.
::He heads over to the closet.::
Would you want to know more about how homunculii from my world work? I don't know if you caught that part before hanging up on me.
no subject
[As he speaks, Greed hops into one of his chairs- more of a stool, actually, as one might find in a bar- and smiles lazily at his alchemist.]
no subject
Some of that's right. If what we make looked human, do you think we'd think we failed? No. Homunculii from my world start out as those messes and it takes feeding them Red Stones to get them looking human. I don't know what made it occur to Dante to try doing that with Envy, but it did.
::Ed hands a glass over to Greed and lets him get some whiskey first before getting his own. He'd brought down that bottle mostly for Greed anyway.::
Anyway, given that Gluttony wanted to eat everything in sight, his name was definitely right for him. Of course, he's also one of the ones she made on purpose so that might have had something to do with it.

::Ed thinks about that last day when everything went so horribly wrong.::
She wanted him to eat the Stone. I'm not sure why. I was, uh, kinda busy and not paying full attention to whatever the fuck she was saying.
no subject
no subject
::Okay, enough of Gluttony because he doesn't need to be thinking about That Night.::
Uh, anyway, provided they have a steady supply of Red Stones, they'll be around for-frigging-ever provided they don't run into someone that can take them down permanently. And you can see why they follow her right there. Noooooooot a whole lotta people willing to make and give them Red Stones out of the goodness of their hearts.
::Now he pauses a moment.::
Okay, Greed went 'fuck you' at her at some point, really pissing her off. He ended up getting locked up for 140 years. Apparently, there's some array that keeps homunculii from being able to even fucking twitch.
::Isn't Greed glad he wasn't that Greed?::
no subject
[Yeah, the last thing Greed wants is to find any point of identification with that other one- the one that had stayed dead. Especially not now.]
no subject
::A thought occurs to him and he gives Greed a sidelong look, looking for the best time for the next words to come out of his mouth.::
You wear that abortion of a vest and jacket too?
no subject
[Greed has a much better sense of style than Edward does, thank you very much!]
no subject
I'm assuming that's a 'yes'.
::And Ed thinks the stuff he used to wear was awesome, thank you very much.::
