Summary: A catch-all log for what dreams are available for people to walk through at night.
The Story:

♥ As of Wednesday, the 19th, all beds in the Mansion (no matter their style or cultural/temporal origin) have been replaced with swinging beds.

♥ But starting Thursday, the 20th, sleeping in the new beds induces vivid dreams, and characters sleeping at the same time will be able to walk into each others' dreams. If a character is a spoilsport and doesn't sleep in the swinging beds, he or she doesn't get to dream walk.

♥ Characters will be able to dreamwalk until Thursday, the 27th.

♥ Leave a description of your characters' dream (or dreams) in top levels on this post so others can comment and walk into their dream, if they choose to go exploring other people's dreams!

Ib is crouched down in a hallway, looking at a tiny white ant and nodding to it as though it were speaking to her. When she hears Minato's footsteps, she looks up, then stands up.

"Hi."

"Hi."

Minato was glad to see a familiar place. He had his hands in his pockets as he stood near a statue. It was taller than he was. And he made himself even shorter as he knelt down next to Ib.

"You know this place." He said it softly, as if the world around was going to listen in on them.

Ib nodded, her demeanor just as conspiratorial.

"This is the gallery."

The one she couldn't leave and the one that had things just come to life. Minato became even more cautious of their surroundings.

"Let's go to a safer place."

There had to be a place they could sit and wait out a bit before anything came after them.

Ib nodded and pointed down the hall. "There's a couch that way. Guertena made it as a sculpture."

Minato trusted Ib since she knew her gallery a lot better than he did. He walked alongside her in the direction she had pointed out.

"Are all the works here by Guertena?"

[fivepetaled]

She nods again as she leads the way. "Paintings and sculptures. Jewelry, too."

[jivitadana]

"But if you're stuck here, then there isn't somewhere that's safe for very long."

[fivepetaled]

"It depends. Most of them can't open doors."

[jivitadana]

Oh. Well, that answered that.

"But if you're in a room and safe, you have to leave eventually."

She couldn't stay in there forever.

Ib nods. "Sometimes they can break through the wall, too."

[jivitadana]

"Do you have anything you can fend yourself with?" She had to protect that rose of hers too.

[fivepetaled]

"I just run away."

[jivitadana]

But she couldn't run away all the time. "Did you want to learn how to defend yourself?" Even a little?

"You can teach me?"

[jivitadana]

Minato nodded. "It'll be fun, if you don't mind using a sword." Teaching it shouldn't be so bad. Practice was always better too with another person.

"I've never used one before. Is that okay?"

[jivitadana]

Minato nodded again, and offered a smile of encouragement. "It makes it better. That way you'll start with the right form instead of trying to fix it."

Ib nods. She gets it. "When will you show me?"

[jivitadana]

"After all of this is over?" They could start any time then. Right now, they were a little preoccupied with something else like the whole gallery coming after them.

Ib nods and pulls open a door, revealing a room with several bookshelves, an overturned stool that's nailed to the floor, and a large white and red couch. On the back wall is a portrait of a couple standing side by side. Ib doesn't look at it.

But Minato did. The art here didn't seem to follow a theme that Minato could easily pick up on. But he took his eyes away from it to focus instead at the bookshelves. It wasn't often that he saw books like this in an art gallery.

"Have you been everywhere here?"

[fivepetaled]

"No. There's a place I don't have a key for..."

Ib sits down on the couch and clasps her hands in her lap.

"It's probably better not to go there alone." She's wandered the gallery alone before, but it was dangerous and pretty scary sometimes.

[jivitadana]

Minato took the liberty of sitting on the couch next to Ib. It reminded him so much of sitting next to Maiko on the bench at the playground.

"You're pretty resourceful if you can find keys to a place you've never been to."

And no way was he going to let her go alone anywhere.

"They're usually the same color." But not always. The fish key was certainly not.
