Who: EVERYONE EVER
Where: The Ballroom
When: Friday, March 28th - Monday, March 31st
Rating: PG-13
Summary: As an apology for all of the mess associated with the redecorating last week, the Red Queen has organized a party for everyone in Wonderland, and invited
The Story:
The ballroom's high, arching ceilings seem to reach up at least two stories above your head, despite the fact that there are definitely second and third story rooms above this spot. High, wide windows let in sunlight during the day; at night, chandeliers and wall sconces light up with so many candles, it's hard to believe the light isn't from an electric source.
In preparation for the incoming guests, the ballroom has been decorated in light, pastel colors. There are many streamers and balloons, and garlands made with fresh flowers that will not wither for the entire four-day duration of the party. Confetti floats through the air now and then, but upon closer inspection it is not paper, but flower petals. There is a long table set up towards the back with beautiful flower arrangements and more food and drink than anyone could imagine, including an abundance of cake, tea, and alcohol of various kinds.
There are smaller tables to the side if you would like to sit and talk or eat, but there is a great space open as well for mingling and dancing. Various kinds of music will be played throughout the weekend, though there does not seem to be any particular source - no stereo system or DJ booth to be seen.
But most importantly, the party will cater itself to what makes you, the guest, most comfortable. This is your night and you are guests of Wonderland. There's no need to worry or fear. The mansion will take care of you so long as you are in its walls.
(And perhaps, when the party is over, you won't want to leave at all.)
OOC: Hello and welcome! This post marks THE BEGINNING OF ENTRANCEWAY'S FOURTH WALL EVENT. Hooray! Before you continue, please take a look at the rules for this event. If you have any questions, feel free to make use of the FAQ thread in that post, even if you aren't a regular player here!
All posts made after this one are considered part of the fourth wall event (unless they have been marked otherwise!). You are free to use the mod journal's reading page to find posts to tag into, if that is easier for you. ♥
Also, either prose or [action brackets] in this log are perfectly fine.
Please feel free to advertise OOCly on plurk, and to all of our guests - welcome to
entranceway and please enjoy your stay!

Which is not to say that he's complaining at all! The party is very nice, there are some amazing macarons, and he's made a certain effort to dress up... though the effect is probably ruined by the fact that he's still wearing his distressed coat. He likes that coat, okay?

She approaches, the ruffle of her dress bouncing a bit with her stride.
"Hello, Garry."

Given that she's only a couple of months old, she hasn't had much opportunity.

"Do you want a macaron? They're pretty good."

"Thank you."
She tries one of the cookies, nibbling at its edge, going a little cross-eyed. Then she glances up at him through her eyelashes, the cookie still held up like she's hiding behind it. Her voice is sweet, casual, but her words are purposeful and pointed.
"You can call me Bud."
Because she hasn't decided yet if she wants to bloom.

Oh. He's seen the doubles wandering around recently, so it probably shouldn't be surprising, but Garry is surprised anyway. He's not sure what he would have expected from a Mirror, but this... isn't quite it.
"...Not Ib?" Just to verify that this isn't just her deciding to go by another name or something!
no subject
For now.
"Are you worried?"

She's so, so innocent, looking at him wide-eyed, as though his response might either make her beam or cry so he'd best be careful.

With a glance around, however, he spots a semi-familiar face. One he remembers talking to, briefly, when the guy first showed up. Part curious to hear about how he's been doing, and part just looking to talk to someone he actually knows, even if only a little, he makes his approach and offers a quick wave. It's a bit stiffly awkward, but friendly all the same.
"Hi. ...Garry, isn't it?" He's pretty sure that's right. Either way, he offers a quick smile, though it falters when he realizes the poor guy probably won't even recognize him since he's not wearing his helmet. ...Then again, the rest of the armour he's wearing might make it click. "Uh, I'm Wash. I think we talked a little once?"
no subject
Any awkwardness goes un-noted. Friendly is friendly, and Garry is all for making friends.

"I'm glad you found it helpful, though." He nods then, to acknowledge that yes, that was where they'd spoken, before he continues, curious; "How have you been doing since then? Hopefully not too badly?"
