- let it go, let it go -
Who: Lucifer and you.
Where: Out and about.
When: When and ever.
Rating: Currently for everyone! I will update this as require. Be aware that there will be talk of Lucifer encouraging people to do terrible things.
Summary: Lucifer craves- the downfall of humanity, among other things.
The Story:
[If there were ever a time when Lucifer would have rolled his eyes and given up tolerating this sad excuse for a world, it would have been now. Wonderland was small, comparatively speaking, and while he had heard all damage was quickly mended, it might feel nice to set all life dying in a solid block of ice.
But for one thing- Michael.
Instead, Lucifer turned to the other inhabitants. Browsing through their thoughts to see if there were any desires he could encourage to the point of self-destruction. Not as satisfying, but less likely to bring his brother's wrath down upon himself.
His desires regarding Michael were another thing entirely- and not something he necessarily wanted to contemplate here.]
[ooc: If your character needs a push to follow their darker desires, Lucifer can find them and gently encourage them that way. 8D]

Father... [she approaches him slowly, still frightened of him.] Have I made you proud, father? Have I done well in serving you?
no subject
Of course, he doesn't. Instead he smiles sadly at her, extending his hands.]
You've been listening to Crowley.
no subject
Not on this occasion. On others, yes. His advice is good.
no subject
[He keeps his tone free of all menace regarding Crowley, watching her curiously.]
Crowley understands many things, except one. He cannot imagine that I would be a merciful and loving father.

It shows, it can't help but show. That sin craving is still there however.
Sitting on the grass outside watching the sun set he's fighting the urge to light the place on fire. To scream, to do something.
Sleep perhaps.]

What was your life like before you met my daughter?
no subject
It was fine.
[Lies.] It's considerably better with her here, but what can you do.

But he keeps a pleasant smile on, his voice light-] If you lie to me again, you will regret it.

[And it's really just all he needs now, like, wow, it's not enough that he got himself messily murdered, now he has to deal with his Boss From Another Universe all over again. Like it wasn't loads of fun the first time around; like it isn't already loads of fun with Michael popping in to ruin his day every now and then.]
[Normally he would avoid Lucifer, because he's not technically his boss, and Crowley is perfectly entitled. The last Lucifer who was here didn't seem particularly keen on him, anyway--maybe the Morning Star wants to be alone in the Fallen Angel club, who knows--and it's just generally always a good idea to try and keep the Devil from noticing you.]
[Then this event comes along and, well. It's the goddamn icing on the cake, isn't it?]
[He's craving sin like nobody's business, of the darker variety than usual, and he's been trying to distract himself by staying absolutely sloshed, but eventually he can't help himself. He lets himself be drawn toward that presence, like it's a black hole in Wonderland.]
[He just hopes he doesn't end up having to talk to this Lucifer. He sick and tired of explaining how their different worlds work over and over.]
no subject
He doesn't look around.] Take a seat- Crowley, isn't it?
no subject
[He wants orders. It's funny. It's not exactly something he'd ever in a million years consider himself to actually want, but...some things you just can't change.]
Yes, er--not the one you're...familiar with, of course, but I'm sure you know that...

[An interesting universe, from what he can tell from their memories.]

Violence.
Not just mindless rage, of course. She doesn't want to just hurt anyone, or anything, that crosses her path. No, her violence stems from a different source. It's the drive of a hunter. The desire to kill monsters before they can kill others. The desire to keep people safe even if it means risking her own life to do it.
In Wonderland, she's had to keep that urge tightly under wraps. The supposed 'truce' between monsters and humanity here has forced her to bite her tongue and keep her weapons in check. She's done fine with it so far and has discovered, much to her surprise, that not all those classified as monsters are necessarily bad.
But today she's finding it more and more difficult to keep that in mind. It began almost like an itch that she couldn't quite scratch and has only gotten worse as the day has dragged on until, finally, she's decided that the best way to handle it is to get away. Not because she's afraid she'll hurt someone who doesn't deserve it, really, as much as she doesn't want to be the one responsible for breaking the ceasefire that governs them all.
So she heads out of the mansion, toward the forest, with the intention of just staying away from everyone until whatever is going on finally stops.
And, of course, that's exactly when she runs into Lucifer.
Or, rather, when he appears out of freaking thin air. Whatever the semantics, the end result is the same. One minute she's heading into the forest and the next she's coming to a complete stop and is face-to-face with the Devil. Her stomach giving a slight churn as she realizes that things have just gone from bad to exponentially worse, and her reaction is best summed up by words that escape her lips on a soft sigh.]
Thanks, Wonderland. Just... thanks.

But the influence of Famine is getting even to him, and he can't help checking in with her to see how she is being affected. The answer was surprising.]
Having a bad day?
no subject
She needs to get away from him. Now. Before she does something she's really going to regret. Like trying to take on the Devil with nothing more than a knife and two guns.
The problem is, he seems interested in talking. And for reasons Krissy can't quite put into words, she decides rather than turning on her heel and heading away from him, to answer his question instead. She's torn between fear and irritation. Being a teenager, the latter wins out for the time being, although just barely.]
No. I'm fine. Just peachy, in fact. I always greet people by sarcastically thanking Wonderland. It's all the rage.
[Her voice sounds tight but the bite to her words is still present. That's probably not a good thing but that desire to hunt, to fight, to kill is starting to override her common sense.
Screw it. Today is as good of a day to die as any other.]
no subject
Speaking of rage... [Do you want to talk about it, little girl? Let Lucifer how you feel.]
no subject
But this? This burning desire he has to either destroy humanity or protect it at all costs? What's worse, the fact that he's not positive he can keep himself from acting on one of the two impulses? He doesn't like it, not one little bit.
He also can't seem to help it. Everywhere he looks, he's either confronted with evidence that humanity is a weak, screwed up pile of junk that needs to be started all over and led by him, or he sees non-humans who are meddling and wants to stop them. Either way, things aren't going to end well for someone and Adam, frankly, doesn't want to be responsible for that.
Hoping that getting away from the mansion, from all of the people, might help, Adam heads to the beach. Of course, he finds out pretty quickly that he isn't alone there... at least, not until he simply wills the humans present to get away from him. And okay, so maybe sending humans fleeing in a singular direction, away from the beach, terrified of something they can't even put into words, isn't the best way to make them leave but it does the trick.
And now, with the beach finally free of people, Adam sits down in the sand and breathes a sigh of relief. The desire is still there, churning and building inside of him, but at least without humans around he can mostly ignore it.
Mostly.]

[His conscious thoughts ran on multiple tracks, speeding along without much of a halt despite whatever was going on around him. One of those existed only to amuse him. Those trains of thought were slowly becoming unsteady thanks to the work of Wonderland. He suspected he was going insane, but that didn't particularly bother Hannibal.]
[What he did care about was removing the presence of the 'other' Hannibal and perhaps Will Graham as well. Phil Coulson swirled in there somewhere, the young man left unsure on what to do with him. Coulson was a pawn held in hand that could become a knight or a problem.]
no subject
[Lucifer appeared, or maybe he had been present awhile and kept Hannibal from noticing. Either way, he stands next to the young man, arms folded seriously.
Problems were problematic. They needed serious responses to ensure they were dealt with properly. Lucifer might not be in the mood for solving his own problems, but encouraging others to solve their own could certainly be a rewarding experience.]
no subject
There are always problems that require dealing with.
[He shifted a little uneasily in his seat. Does he believe this is the real Satan? No. But still...]
I'm surprised to see you here. I would think you would have better things to be doing than bothering with me.

[Rather, he is feeling the urge to stay on his good side. But thats' the same thing, right?]

He should run. He should run now.
No, he must be craving his own death.
Saying something doesn't seem to be an option, but then he's sure that Lucifer must know he's there as he stands there staring. ]
no subject
Like now.
Lucifer smiles.] Hello, Crowley. It's been a while.
no subject
[ He should back away.
He should back away, but his feet are frozen in their places on the ground. He's going to die and his only consolation is that he has a few deaths left here before whatever comes after. ]
I guess it has been a while. H-how are you?
