Summary: It's your chance do your dance
The Story: After the culture festival wraps up on Wednesday afternoon, all students are invited to a dance in the gymnasium! There are snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course!), as well as cheesy paper decorations made by the student council members.

The mass frog exodus? Yes, Athos bore witness to that. His teacher was less than pleased by the results when the anatomy lesson had to be cut short just so they could gather up all the subjects.

"What do you think you're gonna study after this? The science would probably be lost without you."

That aside, the sciences could use a little more humor, and Darcy has that in spades.

[He is incorrigible, and may or may not know the meaning of the word. Evelyn's smile is crooked when he pulls her back, and the close quarters make for a more private conversation.]

I hope so.

[Johnny turns and she is afforded a glance over his shoulder to the side of the room. Still there. Evelyn hides her face in his shirt.]

"I don't think I could ever be cross with you," Evelyn reminds her, catching the lilt in her tone. Definitely up to something. Bela isn't wrong, of course - there are worse things she could do, and this is certainly not one of them.

Frankly, it's tame compared to the usual.

[ What can he say, he's popular for a total fuck up with some serious ADHD. There is just so much to do, so many people to harass. He hands her her solo cup and sniffs his (if it was spiked he sure as hell wouldn't mind) before taking a gulp. Sweet, sweet carbonated sugar water. ]

Besides, what kind of jerk deserts his date without at least dancing with her first?

That sure is a loaded question. He shrugs, feet swinging.

"I don't have any, just graduating's more than anyone expects from me anyway so I'll take what I can get. I might travel."

[ It doesn't matter if Tauriel's never kissed anyone before, he couldn't possibly love this any more than he does already. His arms snake around her, pulling her close just as she tilts her head and presses into the kiss, his head swimming and his heart leaping wildly in his chest.

For that moment, he stops moving to the song, because he has the distinct feeling the floor itself has dissolved and stopped existing around them. ]

[If there's one person that Evelyn could forgive for making her feel a little flustered, it's Will. Neither of them are very good at in-person encounters, but the notes they pass back and forth between their classes tell a different story.

Will is sweet, can read people with startling accuracy, and has a good heart. He takes an interest in psychology and serial killers, which aren't Evelyn's specialty, but the latter involves dead bodies and she spends a lot of her time lingering in the Egyptian history section of the museum staring at the mummies.]

You would be sorely mistaken,

[she replies, biting her lip through another smile.]

I didn't want to pull you away from your people-watching.

She nudges him with her elbow, letting out a little laugh. "C'mon, live dangerously. What fun is life if everything comes with warnings?"

She brings the drink to her lips, stopping short and giving him a look. "Do you know if anyone's spiked the punch?"

If you're sure, Billy. He gives Ted another warning Big Brother Glance (tm), before grinning.

"Please, like anyone could steal her away from me. I'm totally going to get lucky tonight." And he was off, but not before saying as he ran-- "Be safe use a condom!"

Laughing, she shrugs. "I'm sure the world of science will survive without me."

She thinks for a moment, that realization that this is her last year weighing heavily on her - not the first time she's thought through this question.

"Something to help people, like those who can't defend themselves. Like human rights or political science or something."

She turns to look at him, a smirk on her lips. "What about you? I mean, you've got loads of time, but anything standing out yet?"

[seizurings]

Her eyebrows arch at the suggestion of travelling, getting a lot more interested.

"Have you traveled a lot? Been anywhere cool?" She'd only ever read about different locations, having never traveled away from home.

[cowhouse]

[Jesse snorts and lets Bela twirl his ass too, why the hell not? He likes girls who aren't afraid to take charge, even if he ends up mis-stepping and looking like a total dumbass.

Still, he doesn't let it bother him; on the contrary, he turns his failure into an interpretive dance sort of hop that's only kind of in time with the music before spinning back around to wrap one of his arms around Bela's waist salsa style.

...Or at least he thinks so anyway. Whatever, it's close enough.

Teddy felt his face turn red at the condom comment and he shook his head. "Your brother is..."

Rude. Obnoxious. Frustrating. Ridiculous.

"Special," Teddy said with a sigh. "I almost feel sorry for the girl you told him to go find. But, at least we're alone again."

Billy laughed blushing from his brother's comment. "He was making sure you weren't taking advantage of me, and...being Tommy. You get used to him."

He grinned back up at Teddy. "So, I believe you said something about kissing me?"

"Does that mean you want to keep me around if I'll be getting used to your brother?" Teddy asked, easily charmed once more by Billy's grin. Was the music still playing? Had it changed since they were distracted? Teddy didn't know nor did he care.

"I did say that, didn't I?" he said. "I'd still like to."

He grins at her. "Maybe not fun, but definitely safer."

Billy takes a sip of his own punch. "Um, doesn't taste like anyone did yet, or I just can't tell." See he can live dangerously too, sometimes.

"That was the plan," Billy grinned mischievously up at him, giddy with the thought of kissing Teddy. "No kissing in the middle of the dance floor, it might give the first years ideas. Come with me." He linked his fingers with Teddy easily pulling him off the dance floor and into a quiet corner of the room, out of the prying eyes of their classmates.

[If she wasn't holding onto him Bela would be doubled over with laughter and her sides would hurt. At least Jesse was giving it his all, having fun with it and not seeming to care how it looked.

Her arms settle at his shoulders when he slips an arm around her waist, wondering where he was going with this- hopefully somewhere good and just as fun as before. Bela waits with anticipation, a smile on her face.

Yeah. This was definitely a highlight of her evening.]

A really big jerk. [ She informs him of this with a bemused look as she takes the solo cup and takes a careful sip. She's pretty sure she's spotted the punch being spiked at least three times over now. ] One who would definitely not get a second date. Just saying.

The only thing he's insinuating here is that Saki has all the hallmarks of a social misfit... and now, maybe, that her mother either has a) peculiar taste, or b) loves her kid enough to lie through her teeth.

As for Peter's tastes... He unconsciously tilts his head in consideration, but doesn't jump at the suggestion. Satisfied? Hm, not the right word. It's not like a bright, perky girl like Mary Margaret would change anything about his relationship to girls. He doesn't have much to do with them.

"I was just pointing out you couldn't have been serious about hating haunted houses and things like that--I don't really care what you look like. But you might want to stop lurking like that. Next time someone's going to walk into you for real."
