[He sees what the angel's intentions are right before it hits him, taking them both to the ground.

You're on the ground, you're opponent's on top of you, what do you do? He's run through this scenario so many times with Jo that it becomes second nature to counter before he can be pinned.]

Sorry, Darcy.

[The strained apology slips out he aims a blow to her face with his forearm to knock her off balance, moving to flip them at the same time.]

[These things might be using human bodies to hide in, but Adam's heard they're just as tough as the angels he's familiar with from his world. He wouldn't stand a chance in a slugging match with someone like Michael or Castiel, and he doesn't want to find out firsthand just how bad his chances are with this thing.

He has to do something, and fast. But what?

Adam scrabbles out from under her, mind racing. Instead of trying to fight her, what if he could trap her? Stop her from getting away and taking Darcy's body with it somehow? If they were closer to his room, he could... His gaze lands on the rows and rows of doors marching off into the distance on either side of them.

The rooms. They could still work. If he could lock her inside one and imagine it to be a panic room strong enough to hold her.

Ignoring the part of his brain screaming this is a stupid idea, run, Adam does the exact opposite, tackling her toward one of the doors before she can shake off her surprise.]
