Summary: Let's go to this creepy tavern and ask for some directions! A log for staying nice and dry inside.
The Story:




For the duration of the event, the mansion has become a dingy tavern. It has two floors, the bottom being the main tavern and the upper floor has six bedrooms with one bed and one magic closet in each room for everyone to fight over, unless they don't mind sleeping on the floor or in the tavern somewhere. With the amount of people in Wonderland, everyone is cramped together and it will be very crowded. The closets will work, however they will only provide clothing and items from time periods long gone (though they do not seem to be bound to any particular time period). There are no employees to be found in the Tavern, but there's a working kitchen with a wood fire stove and enough food and drink for everyone to last the entire event comfortably. There's even a stage with musical instruments to entertain yourselves with! There's no electricity, but plenty of candles and lanterns around.

For the entire length of the event, it will be dark outside. In addition to the never-ending night, it will pour for four days straight, and it will all seem rather ominous once it becomes apparent the sun isn't coming out. Pretty much all signs will suggest that everyone should stay in the tavern and eat, drink, and be merry with their stupid new names. But it really is tight quarters, and some might be curious to see what else is out there. Maybe there's another place to stay out there, or something. Maybe the Beast Alice spoke of is out there.

[Well, he can't say he has anything better than "cabin fever: the event" to offer from his own memories, so he'll set that topic aside.]

I'm okay. I'm starting to get hungry, but not dangerously so. [He glances toward a window, then back.] If I have to, I can separate myself from everyone.

Out in the freakin' rain? [Rocket shudders, though that's an involuntary reaction to excessive amounts of water, rather than any concern. it makes his joints stiff just thinking of it.] Sounds comfy, endin' an event starvin' and soaked through. Thanks, Wonderland. [he glowers in the general direction of the ceiling.]

[Rocket can always be counted on to vent the things that Kaneki is thinking, but would pretty much never say out loud. He laughs a little, nodding in agreement, and adjusts his eye patch. He's not used to wearing proper ones, since the medical variety work just fine for him, but the event apparently didn't want that kind of anachronistic costuming going on.]

It's kind of funny that an event that's not actually that dangerous is one of the more unpleasant ones we've had recently.

I think those are the worst ones, personally. Danger? Hah. [he holds his arms like he's holding his gun and mimes firing it.] No big. Hurry up and wait while you wonder if the other shoe's gonna drop? No thank you.

And I hate water. [the only raccoon in the world who does. good thing he refuses to admit he's one.]

I'm not a fan of danger, but at least I usually know what to do when that kind of thing happens. Right now--like you said--it's just waiting around. That can be worse than having to act.

Pretty much, 'cause you let your guard down. [good thing he almost never has his guard down until he's good and drunk- probably why he's spending so much time drinking. at this rate, even getting caught dead drunk would be better than not knowing.] And then wham.

[he beats his fist into his other hand with a hard metallic thunk muffled by the layer of padding.] Or you get so tense you start fighting each other.

The latter worries me more than the former. [It's much easier than it seems to turn on each other in a tense situation, and he's sure he'd personally make a great target in such a situation. It kind of comes with the "social pariah" territory.]

So far so good, though, right? [He gives a forced little laugh and is really hoping it doesn't get any worse than it is right now.]
