Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.

The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.

Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

That's it? They're just... watching themselves bleed out on the diner floor? Staring down at their own corpse. It'll be okay, it'll be okay, don't look at it so much. I'm right here. I'm not in that. It's just meat now. I'm here, I'm with you, we're going to free everyone. Look at the sunset. Focus on the fresh air. Listen to the birds. Everyone's going to have this. Mom and Dad are going to see the sky again.

They pull in a deep breath, will themselves to be still. A flower stalk, flexible and bending in the wind. Not a dead stump.

The knife sits in their other self's loose hand. More ornamental than functional, extremely personalized - gaudily so. Lacking the ironclad safety of 99 ATK. It's...

It's really not like them at all.

Chara cants their head to one side and waits. They don't want that ugly, inefficient thing badly enough to be hasty. They're more interested in something else, something more in keeping with their world. They wait to see a SOUL emerge, wait to see it shatter.]

Oh, don't get me wrong. Things here are pretty boring most of the time too. But at least you get those events. Things get a little more interesting then.

[ More importantly, though, he likes gathering information about this side. The people here. Of course there's nothing like being able to cross over and do some actual digging around, but any other time, he'll take what he can get. ]

I got the idea that a lot of mirrors are like that.

[ Bruce's eyes fall to the necklace, but he doesn't ask. He doesn't even know what to ask, though he's almost sure there's more to it than meets the eye. ]

Are you fine there? Is there... can I do anything to help?

[no_eels]

[ Toothless lets out an appreciative rumble. It's good magic. He wishes he had magic to get fish whenever he wanted; he'd probably be the size of a whale. Or his stomach would be, anyway.

But... when things happen here? The Night Fury nudges Henry's hand and lets out a softer noise, looking up at him with wider green eyes. Has it been dangerous for him? ]

[ Henry lets out a quiet breath, reaching out to touch Toothless on the nose. ]

Where I really need magic is at home. My dad died.

[ Well, almost step-dad. But it hurts all the same. ]

Yes, well, I'm actually a bit more interested in answers, and you're the only person I know here. Don't suppose you happen to know the score with this... Wonderland, do you?

What? [Adrian looks like he's been punched in the gut.] That's impossible. I would have heard. What exploding tank? What are you talking about?

It's not actually fire. [He rolls his eyes.] I'm just trying to describe it. What are you?

"Nah, not that many people. Just Kou and Daisuke, and Ai, Ayane, Naoki, that girls who's always staring at the clouds, afro-senpai, even though he's graduated... Kashiwagi, sometimes. That's totally nobody at all," he grins while he puts all the toppings he likes on his burger, and then douses it all in ketchup, "I've never had to jockey so much attention in my life."

And you can tell he loves it. Of course he loves it.

[glumshoe]

[ The humorless tweak in his mouth also can't help the affection that spikes up, much like Evelyn's own. ]

Then you'd know the world really was ending.

[ That is the cosmic cruelty in this. Will had been fully and hypocritically committed to helping shoulder her burdens for the price of the absence of the reverse - to such an extent as this final insult Wonderland pays them by digging up his fucking corpse. It isn't fair to make him bystander to the crime in which he'd made himself a player. Fair never goddamn entered into it.

Easier to let anger tempt him into fatalism - he's only here a small window of time, fuck his feelings, try to salvage the broken wreckage that is Evelyn's - but efforts fall short and gutter like a candle when Evie removes the barrier he wanted there for her safety. Like some metaphor for the entire time they were together.

Something in his face falls in finding it and giving it a name, a vague concept that ,i>sounds appropriate though it is. Whatever he expects, it's not Evelyn at a loss for words - never that. Sadness would be appropriate. Anger even moreso, but he doesn't know what to do with something that doesn't seem to be in any hurry to eviscerate him with it if at all.

Normally he'd say that he lives in these grey spaces, but her utter absence is so unusual in itself that Will searches the soft edges of her face for a moment, creased as ever with worry and tiredness and the lonesome kindness that doomed him from the outset.

God she's beautiful. ]

I... would like to know that, too.

[ he starts, all stark honesty. Again, his hand finds the back of his neck, hot from launching into a tangent without warning. The best way forward is to talk as they used to, he concludes. ]

The last thing I remember is - [ he voice drops with the delicacy of the moment crystallized in memory. ] a beach. Not too long after I, ah. Laid the cards on the table.

I know that at home, a lot of time has passed between the me that met you on the beach and the one that just walked in here. A lot's... a lot's happened.

[prosecutorial]

[She nods once.]

Not that I know much about Barry's time traveling adventures. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that he can.

A place called the Clock. They ... It, I guess, saved me from Damian Darhk.

[She shakes her head.]

Neither am I. It's definitely not working.

[Minato smiled to himself and then put his hand on his heart for a moment, like he were thinking about someone who did that too.]

It will be. Don't worry.

[Minato wanted Souji to focus on having enough to eat for himself. As for Minato, things had changed and he didn't eat nearly as much as he had before.]

[That was a good question. There was a lot to consider with a place like this and the place he was going back to. Specifically, the situation.]

I'd be happy if I were here with you.

[Yuu was most important to him.]

Well, we're all mad here.

[Or something to that effect.]

I don't think it'd be Wonderland if it were logical.

[Well she's an antsy one, isn't she? When she retaliates, he moves just slightly, offsetting the impact as it connects. When she strikes him, he bites his lip hard enough to leave it bloody, a guttural noise rumbling in the back of his throat.]

It's already done. [Even though the words are strong, his voice is strained and holding back obvious pain.] You can remain in observation here just as easily. It's just a bigger cage than the one I would keep for you.

[He swallows thickly, forcing himself to remain straight despite his body's curious sudden urge to double over. He's never felt something like this before. It's almost as fascinating as Jane is.]

Run away, if it makes you feel secure. But don't think I won't be keeping notes.

I'm saying that we live among violent megalomaniacs who frequently prey on those who cannot defend themselves. So yes, a show of competency is entirely required.

[Rogers probably shouldn't believe anything he says. He lies far more easily than anything else.]

[Tension radiates through her whole body, Rose once again defensive.]

Impossible?! [Head snapping around to stare at him.] Don't tell me what's impossible alright, I felt it.

Why would you have heard anything?! You're not part of the Knights. [Throwing her hands up in exasperation.] You're not even real!

[Because. Dreaming.]

[The stubborn side of her wants to tell him to figure it out himself seeing as he's in her head. She's at least smart enough to realize that this conversation will go round in circles if she takes that approach, deciding instead to roll with it.]

It's basically a kidnapping. [Stopping to look at her hand, the strange, too real quality to it that comes with being in the dream.] Another world we've all been taken to and there's no escape, just waiting for them to get bored with us...

[She admits something now, something she's barely allowed herself to consider. Something she never would have said had she thought Adrian were really here.]

That or I've finally lost it completely.

[ Immediately, Toothless' ears seem to deflate and hang loose. His eyes grow softer as he presses his nose into Henry's hand, and then he takes a step closer to nuzzle Henry's side, making a soft rumble.

He's sorry to hear that; he remembers the struggle Hiccup had gone through, after his own father had been killed. Though what had happened is still a blur in Toothless' mind. ]

"...Kashiwagi-sensei?" That really isn't any better than saying that Morooka wanted to talk to him, if they guy were alive.

"Most of them have my number."

What's the need for a go-between? It has to be Yousuke's love of attention, honestly. Souji wouldn't be surprised if Yousuke were purposely putting himself in that position. Then again, Souji has no problem with that, either.

[Yuu felt the same. There was nothing for him in the most literal sense if he weren't here. But would it really by any better to be here without Minato, considering how important he was to Yuu?

It really wasn't even a question.

He looked down at his ice cream, pleased.]

It's the same for me. ...I do love you.

[Souji noticed the gesture and smiled a little at it. He'd never met Ryoji, but remembered Minato telling him about him. When he'd described him, he'd mentioned his habit of putting his hand over his heart--it seemed to be as iconic a part of him as his scarf.

Souji worked on their meal in companionable silence while Minato waited, thinking of the time they'd had a sort of food battle. When the curry rice was finished, he brought it to the counter, along with a couple of colas, before circling around to sit on the stool next to Minato.]

I hope it's as good as what you had at home.

"She preys on new guys now, but you must have been her flame," Yousuke nearly chokes on his burger thinking about it, so let's not.

This is definitely a symbiotic relationship. Yousuke gets attention, and Souji gets a break. Everyone wins.
