+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: GENERAL NON-PARTY MINGLE POST +

Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: Everywhere that isn't one of the parties! Both Sides!
When: Sept 1st to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.

Please also see THE FOURTH WALL MASTER POST for rules, information, and all the fun parties you can visit!
The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.

Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

::Ed plops down in the seat opposite from Blake.::

A few hours ago. Seeing the place again has been weird. Don't remember there being a coffee shop though. So that's new. You wouldn't happen to know what happened to Nessa when Al and I were sent home, would you?

Dipper definitely hasn't seen him before, but the here again catches his attention. He frowns and pauses in his tracks, turning towards the guy.

"Again? How do people keep remembering that? I know you must have left over a month ago." Dipper keeps track, especially of the people closer to his age. He's been here over a year. Dipper knows this guy's been away longer than the usual month, so how can he possibly remember?

He hates when Wonderland starts breaking its own rules. It makes him worry that all his notes are entirely useless.

[She laughs, before giving a small shrug.]

I certainly prefer alive over dead. Though I can't necessarily speak to the minds of others, or their opinions of Wonderland.

"Must be because of my good looks and charm," Ed says flippantly before shrugging. "I remember something like this happening once when I was here. People being brought here for a few days, a lot of them remembering having been here before."

[ Honestly? If Gina weren't standing next to Rosa right now, she would've bet actual money on this being Gina's doing. But, seeing as they're both stuck here, and the second weirdest person Rosa knows is Jake, well. It was probably Jake. ]

I'm going to murder him.

[ If they ever get out of here, that is.]

[ With that, things are rapidly falling into place for Ford as well. It's the benefit of being a seasoned traveler of dimensions. He doesn't have much experience being mistaken for some alternate version himself though, but it's something he can roll with easily enough. ]

I was human. This is ... [ He briefly glances down at his own clawed hand, fingers flexing and then relaxing before he continues. ] Something of a new development. But it's entirely possible that you know a different version of me.

[ They seem to understand that concept at least, but the poor kid still looks rather upset and Stanford's not entirely sure what to do about that. He can only smile apologetically as he crouches down to their level. ]

I'm sorry. What's your name?

[James actually gasps to himself when he spots the dragon on the grounds. He'd know that tiny dragon anywhere - Toothless!

Rather than call attention to himself as a human, he takes a moment to shift into Prongs. It's only once he's on four legs again that he enters the clearing - cautiously, that is. He'll wait for Toothless to approach first, and tilt his head (with some effort, considering the massive antlers).

Does Toothless remember him? Maybe?

::At this point, Dean's gotten his leg taken care of and switched his jeans for a pair that didn't have blood on them to wander around. A lot of this was familiar from the last him he arrived during an influx with this, although the memories are only coming back piece-meal.

At least he got some explanations from Sam. They help. Doesn't do anything about the way his vision goes creepy, but otherwise help.

He eventually sees the way John is looking around and heads his way.::

You're looking a bit... in shock.

[Stan actually doesn't immediately recognize him at first, when he spies him walking around the grounds. Honestly, Stan doesn't even usually hang around outside this much normally, but he's still trying to puzzle together exactly what this event is. There's another house, and there's way more people, but some of them are randomly older or younger? His money's on some kind of age-change so far, but then...older Dipper and Mabel seemed to be from some alternate timeline? There's so much going on that Stan doesn't know where to start.

But then there's this guy, who upon closer inspection (via a lot of very obvious squinting)...appears to be Ford. Sort of?

His immediate thought is that Wonderland must've done something to him, since it did make him a giant that one time. He can't help cringing a little bit though, since it's such a drastic change, but at least it's more out of sympathy than anything else.
]

Eesh, what happened to you?

[Stan, meanwhile, is entirely human - and looks like he's never been anything but human.]

She glances down at the invitation for a moment before she frowns. "Yeah, I got one of those too." Not that she's exactly in a party attending mood, at the moment, but it might be something worth checking out later. At the same time, she doesn't like the way any of this smells.

"What's the last thing you remember? Before coming here, I mean."

[The brightness of just Kara is enough to put her at ease with the fact that she hasn't just majorly offended someone and her smile widens in return.]

This place is certainly something, isn't it? I'm not really sure what to make of it.

[It's not a bad rationalization, for a maybe-hallucination that may or may not be a projected figment of his shattered consciousness as it tries to cope using the only avenues available to it. What the, uh, what the talking skeleton is saying makes a disturbing amount of sense. Which kinda makes him wonder if that kind of internal logic really holds up.

But then, hallucinations are rarely rational. They tend to build their own systems of logic and adhere to those structures instead, much in the same way dreams do. He's long since mastered the ability to think clinically about this.

Tim takes another pull from his cigarette and digests the skeleton's words silently.]

Good point. My hallucinations aren't usually this nice.

[He taps the end of the cigarette and watches flakes of ash drift aimlessly, carried off by twisting wind currents.]

Guess this is as real as it gets. So that's...

[He trails off. Not really sure what this is. It's a whole new level of weird, sure, but his life has always been weird. It seems counter-intuitive to suddenly ascribe some kind of arbitrary limit to how much weird he can take.]

Well. Guess I can't complain.

[Well, isn't this interesting. She may be attempting to be careful, but some people have eyes everywhere. And Dipper, this version of Dipper especially, doesn't like to forget.

It may appear that there's no one around the corner when she looks, but as soon as she's in the room, Dipper's there. Leaning casually against the wall behind her.]

[Laurel also seems relieved at the familiar face, holding her arms out to her sister as she pulls her in closer. It hasn't been that long since Sara disappeared in the Clock, and it takes a bit of the weight off her shoulders to see her here, all in one piece.]

You okay?
determinedest: (* You waited still for this opportunity)

Oh! Um, I'm Frisk.

[So he was human but was...changed into some kind of monster? That's not the strangest thing they've experienced, though they're pretty sure it probably feels just as unpleasant as it looks.]

And you're - Stanford Pines. Ford. A different Ford? You've got a brother, Stanley, and a niece and a nephew. Dipper and Mabel. [They count the three of them off on their fingers.] Um. Is that right?

[ m!iris doesn't seem too convinced.

at least, he doesn't look like he's doing a whole lot of mixing, but then, those who live on the real side don't know how good they really have it. they don't know.
] I'm considering it. The mirror side can get so boring. [ she has no reason to pretend she's the iris he's used to.

[Unfortunately (or fortunately?) for Oliver, this isn't Laurel's first, even if it's a little more bizarre than she's used to. She is also very pleased to see Oliver, as it's been a few months since she's seen him last and she's missed him.

Not the way she did when he was on the island, anger swirling with heartache and no real closure. They're in a better place than they were then, and she's gotten used to him being always there.

She glances over at him with a smirk, before giving a small shrug.]

Probably could be worse. Just don't drink anything weird or I'll have to carry you around in my pocket.

[ Bruce's eyebrows lift up a little, feigning surprise but bleeding amusement. He doesn't carry nearly as much tension as she does right now, in fact the more tense and uncomfortable she looks, the more relaxed and satisfied he seems. ]

I don't get a first name treatment? Aw. That wounds me.

[ Said as if this version of Bruce could even have his feelings wounded. A deliberate pause, he weighs his words, then decides to have a bit more fun. What is she gonna do, punch him? Right. She's not that stupid. ]

I assume a massage is off the table too...?

Well, you asked!

[* What did they think, we worked out some stupid SPELL to do this?!]
[* Honestly.]

[Two more wet plops onto the floor, and their face is starting to deform. They don't seem too worried, though.]

We know what we're doing.

[Frisk squeezes their eyes shut, and all that dripping just gets worse and worse. * Seems like it's falling apart. Within a few moments there's a bright, nearly blinding flash of light--]

[One day, she will possibly get used to Ray being able to change his size suddenly on a whim. One day, maybe, that will happen, but today is not that day. Still, despite the initial surprise, she takes the hug eagerly, regardless of how comfortable it is.

It's still good to see that he's in one piece.]

No parties there?

[Mirror. Noted. He doesn't have much of a visible reaction to that revelation, simply pulling a leg up so he can lean his elbow against it, while steadily looking at her. His hand plays with the fabric of his shirt, rolling it between two fingers.]

Not sure what you're expecting, but so far this place hasn't exactly been a joyride.

You've still got that little stowaway in your head, don't you? You really are something else!

[Are they trying to reform themselves? Some kind of warped amalgamate. This really is perfect. Chock-full of DT and no means to control it.

They dart forward, Dagger in hand, upraised, the blade sharp and capable, not just of cutting leaves and vines, but cutting through flesh.

The light is bright enough to make their eyes ache even as they shut them.

They try to slam the blade into the formless mass.]

[* That's normal for this kind of--huh?]

[Internal dialogue is cut short by those familiar robotic tones, and Frisk's head jerks up from where they had been crouched down near a flowerbed. Their surprise only lasts for a moment, though, and they quickly spring up to hurry over with a wide smile.]

Yeah, it is! Isn't it cool, I'm like Mom an' Dad now!

[ Maybe if Fitz had set up that system he wouldn't be stuck in this situation, which is to say: good thing he didn't. Bruce is rather enjoying himself right now, and he'd hate for people to actually be expecting him when he shows up. Talk about ruining a surprise.

Bruce watches Fitz, unimpressed, but follows the directions anyway, digging into that drawer to see what's there. The printouts are easy enough to find, and he pulls them out, unfolding one of them to get a look. ]

Hm. Looks... cute. [ But not quite right. Not quite everything. This is too small for Fitz to be worrying that much. ] You're not telling me everything.

[ Said lightly while he keeps looking at the schematics, then he makes his way over to the table where Fitz is, spreading out the schematics on the surface so he can get a better look. It's hardly complex or interesting work, but it still holds some worth. ]

Pity. I was hoping you wouldn't be this useless.
