+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: GENERAL NON-PARTY MINGLE POST +

Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: Everywhere that isn't one of the parties! Both Sides!
When: Sept 1st to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.

Please also see THE FOURTH WALL MASTER POST for rules, information, and all the fun parties you can visit!
The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.

Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

[ his converse shoes — the ones iris had gotten him, with one of the toes having go win handwritten in marker on it — kick up a little of the sand, and if there's a quick sweep to his step, there's no smoking or char under his feet. they're not the best to wear when walking along the beach, but barry doubts kara wants to have a race to see who can take their shoes off the quickest. ]

[ arm still looped, he pulls away from her, brows raised, ]
You better have. I think she would've named her campaign Poker Face. [ and he falls back into her, slightly clumsy with his footsteps. ]

[ barry smiles, and looks at her again. ]
How have you been? Earth-2 musings aside. Checking up on National City kind of fell to the wayside with everything. Sorry.

Like an old TV, the smack on the back bring Souji's thoughts back into focus. Reminded of the offer of food, he starts to walk again, knowing Yousuke will come along.

He nods--he does remember everyone from home, including those outside his close circle of friends and family. But on the other hand...

"Kanji wrote down the words I've forgotten. From the events. The ones we could figure out anyway."

[Nope! Nope! Nope, they're done! They are REALLY SICK OF DODGING. And of getting burned and scraped and irradiated and whatever the hell else this guy's got up his sleeve. They don't care. They're DONE.]

I'd LOVE to stick around with a couple of tape measures, but I've got better things to do.

[The last words are snarled out over their shoulder as they fucking book it as fast as they cant.]
dustiest: (* It's a real get together.)

[And that is definitely not the same spell as before. What the heck, guy? Maybe humans are just more unpredictable than monsters, a fact of which they were already well aware, thanks. Or maybe -

Well, he wouldn't be the first one to remember things he shouldn't. Not even the first one from home.

They draw back in preparation and - botch any kind of evasive measure pretty much immediately. The light sears at them at a magnitude that they can really only compare to what they've imagined Sans's skull-blaster dealios must feel like.

In any case, it hurts.

Their HP's almost reached 0 before they snap things back once more. They've made their decision.]

[in classic Mabel fashion, she stops being angry and hurt long enough to squint at him.] You have a brother named Ford? Who names their kids Stanford and Ford? I call fake!

It's a dream. We can be anywhere. [He saunters up to the swing and sits down.] Aren't you going to introduce yourself? I'm not a mind reader, you know.

[personal profile] badinfluence 2016-09-11 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Like I said, it's a dream. I'm just trying to figure out where I am. Besides with a clearly unstable person.

[He is not making this better, is he? He gives her his most charming smile.]

Let's start over. I'm Adrian. And you have a very interesting aura.

The relief that floods him is clear as day on his face. "Okay, good."

That relief is quickly replaced with something more akin to shame at her question, though, eyes downcast, fingers twisting together in nervous habit. "The one I didn't open." He looks up at Iris again, "I had it, I was right there, but-- I couldn't do it. It- it's too much." And he hated it, hated the bitter taste of failure in his mouth as he'd walked away, not helping his friends like he should be, but the whole thing was really overwhelming.

That I've noticed. And it's funny because you literally seem to have aged five years over night. What happened, Hathaway?

[personal profile] badinfluence 2016-09-11 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Gosh, it's amazing I have time to sleep while I'm ruining every aspect of your life. [Smirking right back. He loves a girl who can keep up with his snark.]
badinfluence: (Bellini)

[personal profile] badinfluence 2016-09-11 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, so many things. [He really needs a drink, but until he's done learning what he can from peoples' minds, that won't be an option.]

The breathy sound he makes is one of pure exasperation. Of course it's some sort of pocket universe. He's well acquainted with not only the concept, but the confirmation as well. His people are well aware of the existence of such things. Min-Joon just hates that he's fallen into one of these dimensional side areas now.

For centuries, he managed to keep mostly to himself. For centuries, he managed to get by unhampered by the goings on around him, both on Earth and beyond. Why is it that everything seems to be happening when he's mere months away from returning to his planet? Not all of it is necessarily bad, but it is getting in the way of what he's been looking forward to for the past four hundred years.

He can't go home and he can't be with Song-Yi. There is no bright side to this apparent situation.

Min-Joon watches with mild curiosity as she fiddles with the interior wiring of that cylinder. "Where is the doorway located? Where there's a way in, there's a way out."
lionbrave: (I didn't mean for that to happen)

[personal profile] lionbrave 2016-09-11 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
Depends on how much your father's daughter you are, I suppose. [He doesn't deny her claims. He's the Kingslayer. He knows he'll never lose that title, and he feels no shame for what he did. He killed the king before he could kill Jaime's father and all the people of King's Landing. This young dragon doesn't know any of that, but Jaime's never seen a need to defend himself. It'd be too close to admitting he has feelings.]

But I'm not planning on it for the moment.
lionbrave: (laughter)

[personal profile] lionbrave 2016-09-11 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
[The comment is startling enough that he actually laughs. Briefly and surprised. He probably shouldn't. His sister, he is certain, would have her tongue cut out for less. But Jaime is not his sister, and someone as tiny as this Stark brat showing this little fear is... something.]

You've a mouth on you, girl.
lionbrave: (offense intended)

[personal profile] lionbrave 2016-09-11 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
She speaks. [And it's his name. Almost as if she can hear him as well.]

Can you... hear me?

Peter slides a hand behind his neck with a slight smile tugging across it before he clears his throat, sending him a salute.

"You got it. No more apologies. Ever," he says, but he is kind of joking. Kind of. This is Peter Parker after all. He really never stops apologizing on some level or another. "It's really crummy. There's more than a beach here. I'm gonna guess this is where you landed."

He landed in front of the mansion when he first arrived, and he was covered in eggs.
lionbrave: (sass)

[personal profile] lionbrave 2016-09-11 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
I have. [He eyes Jon speculatively. He knows the Starks and the Lannisters have no love lost between them, and he can't help but doubt that the wall's whole giving up all allegiances thing is entirely true. He'll be wary.] And you? I didn't think the Night's Watch allowed for vacations.

[Not that it seems anyone is here willingly.]

A snort escapes him, one full of bitter amusement that he would've held back from making if it hadn't been such an impulse reaction. Being an alien that literally crash landed on Earth, the irony is not lost on him.

"Yes, this is where I found myself." Obviously. "Does this beach or this world have a name?"

[ jessica rolls her eyes at the last comment, but releases her immediately. letting her hand drop to her side, she doesn't quite sound apologetic when she says: ] Sorry. [ and doesn't look it, either. if anything, jessica appears irritated. it's her most neutral expression. like wynonna's gun, many of her own expressions hadn't quite made the trip to wonderland. ]

Where's the nearest bar?
mishandles: (Default)

[personal profile] mishandles 2016-09-11 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
[ maybe if he stayed in her head, it'd be easier for the both of them. jessica's not the best reader out there — too impatient to properly read trish's texts and a little addicted to riling malcolm up by ignoring his — but she thinks it's probably the best for the both of them they stick to this. being in her head, even if she gives him permission to drop that drawbridge between them, hits a little too close to something she wants to keep far, far away from. ]

You can't talk. [ she looks at him, then shakes her head. ] Shit. Sorry. I'm fucking — [ if only trish or malcolm were here, she wouldn't be stepping on so many landmines. ] Why can you talk inside of my head? Are you one of those enhanced people?

i remember you mentioning something like that. it's nice that you don't have to live underground, though. it gets real boring.

[That's the biggest bird he has ever seen. He has no idea what a swan is and goes absolutely still like a rodent that just saw a hawk pass overhead because what the fuck how do they make birds this big and why is it coming toward him and why is this his life.]

[How is this--there's a certain scientific side of him that wants to know how a bird that big can function aerodynamically. Birds don't exactly achieve the kind of lift needed to get heavy bodies off the ground. How did the Bird Who Carries You Over A Disproportionately Small Gap pull that kind of thing off, anyway?]

[The bird lands and Sans resists the urge to teleport right the fuck out of there. At least it's not doing anything to him, though he's just going to stare at it and. Not move. At all.]

[And then it starts playing classical music and you know what, fine. Fine, this is just his life. This is just one of those things that happen to him. Sure.]

[He looks at the round child.]

kid, this is the scientific beakthrough of a lifetime.
punful: (maybe not the best time for puns)

thought i tagged this sorry broh

[personal profile] punful 2016-09-11 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
[He's ruining this even more. Everything he says is just making this worse.]

i know. it's...it's really complicated. but just, uh. keep reminding yourself that you'll see him. he'll be right there when you go back, okay?

[Or he himself will be right there when Sunflower goes back, because maybe it actually is him, and does it even matter at this point? Versions and variations. Either way, it's still Sans.]

[He frowns at the woman's voice that issues from Sunflower. That sounded like...recitation. Repeating something that Sunflower heard, not like it's something that Sunflower actually said.]

...memories are weird. [He'd make a pun about not having a heart, but that's. Wildly inappropriate.] some things are constant. some aren't.

IIIIIIII'm going to take that as a compliment.

[ He salutes her, and gestures down the corridor. ]

So, in the interest of starting fresh with an alternate, shall we?
