[OPEN MINGLE] Or perhaps in Slytherin
Who: Slytherin House! (And friends and visitors, of course!)
Where: Slytherin Common Room, Quidditch Pitch, various places around Hogwarts
When: Duration of the event
Rating: G (will edit as necessary)
Summary: Slytherin open log!
The Story:

The Slytherin common room was a long, low underground room with rough stone walls and ceiling, from which round, greenish lamps were hanging on chains. A fire was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece ahead of them, and several Slytherins were silhouetted around it in carved chairs.
The common room has changed, somewhat, from its historical description, thanks to the decorative powers of one Mettaton. Though it still extends beneath the lake and thus retains a greenish, aquatic cast, it's much more brightly lit, its cold, damp atmosphere replaced with dazzling MTT-brand warmth. Even the giant squid, occasionally peering in as it does its rounds of the lake, seems just a shade more glamorous inside such a charming space.
Students - and a ghost or two - can be found nestled within its confines, plotting mischief around the fire, studiously doing their homework (as good students do), or perhaps trading Chocolate Frog trading cards. Though Slytherin is not especially well-known for its wide-open, trusting nature, Slytherins are known for not snitching on each other; if a guest or two were to creep in for a while, then odds are, nobody saw anything.

[Stories aren't any fun when it's just one person crossing a flat wasteland. Good stories involve scaling mountains, plumbing the depths of deep caves. Great highs and great lows. So the other teams are sharp this year. Bring it, says Frisk. They're determined to come out on top, and they know they're not the only one that feels that way.]
Have you seen us practice, though?

[He personally has no interest in playing the game himself but he can appreciate one where everyone gets down to business. It reminded him of an old acquaintance and the way he played baseball back when Zacharie hung around that ballpark.]
I have been once or twice but friends tend to be distracting. Perhaps I will be able to come down to the field alone soon.

[Sounds like referencing a Muggleborn kind of thing, which they...reluctantly can understand as a reference. Not that they like to think about how they can understand it. They never got to actually play those sorts of games, with EXP and the like.]

Then I shall wait in anticipation for the day I can open that surprise package. It makes things much more interesting when there is a wild card. Ahaha, speaking of however, I recommend someone keep an eye on yourself and Chara.
[Not for trouble from Chara but towards them. People knew how strong of a player the child was and that pity the poor bastard who goes after Frisk. It may be painful but it could be a good way to get them out of the game.
So there, a freebie for you because you're one of his best customers Frisk.]

[Frisk's smile is thin and edged, but laced with no small amount of knowing.]
I'm sure you remember that time one of the opposing team's Beaters ended up in the hospital wing with about half a dozen fractures?
[That was the same match where Frisk's arm was broken by a well-aimed bludger. Chara, of course, had simply smiled and said sweetly, "only six fractures?"]

Again, one of the reasons why Frisk was so interesting.]
I'll have to keep that in mind. Perhaps it would be best if everyone held off on their bets for now. Either way, things will get interesting this game. Eh eh eh.

One thing is very clear, however: you do not under any accounts deign to be cruel to one of the Dreemurrs. The rest will surely seek you out to make you suffer for it.]
Oh, I'm sure they will. [They quirk an eyebrow in his direction.] Don't tell me you're running some kind of underground betting pool or something.

Not me this time. But you would be surprised how many there are amigo. Or the amount of people who ask for "help".
[He does sound partly annoyed by that. If a game's going to be played, play it fair. You can't just side step the big tournament levels because it's no fun if you do.]
no subject
You've got competition? Really?
no subject
[Calm by nature, yeah. But it's not like Zacharie has remained the only merchant in this school for nothing. He also didn't get that reputation of being downright creepy at times for nothing either.
But the moment passes and he chuckles.]
Nevertheless it should be a good game. Regardless of the outcome, I do hope you all enjoy yourselves.
no subject
I hope you find it just as lucrative as always, then.
[They've little doubt, after all, that he knows how to get what he's after one way or another.]
no subject
[Zacharie never personally attacked as a rule. He talked. If things went sideways after that...well self-defense sure was something.
But he's not going to go there. More action and less words sure, but there's no reason this conversation should get dark. Zacharie kicks his feet back up on the couch. Really, thank Mettaton for making these so damn comfortable.]
Here's to interesting games and lovely people. Give my regards to Chara amigo.
no subject
Of course I will.
[They incline their head in quiet acknowledgment.]
