[OPEN MINGLE] Or perhaps in Slytherin
Who: Slytherin House! (And friends and visitors, of course!)
Where: Slytherin Common Room, Quidditch Pitch, various places around Hogwarts
When: Duration of the event
Rating: G (will edit as necessary)
Summary: Slytherin open log!
The Story:

The Slytherin common room was a long, low underground room with rough stone walls and ceiling, from which round, greenish lamps were hanging on chains. A fire was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece ahead of them, and several Slytherins were silhouetted around it in carved chairs.
The common room has changed, somewhat, from its historical description, thanks to the decorative powers of one Mettaton. Though it still extends beneath the lake and thus retains a greenish, aquatic cast, it's much more brightly lit, its cold, damp atmosphere replaced with dazzling MTT-brand warmth. Even the giant squid, occasionally peering in as it does its rounds of the lake, seems just a shade more glamorous inside such a charming space.
Students - and a ghost or two - can be found nestled within its confines, plotting mischief around the fire, studiously doing their homework (as good students do), or perhaps trading Chocolate Frog trading cards. Though Slytherin is not especially well-known for its wide-open, trusting nature, Slytherins are known for not snitching on each other; if a guest or two were to creep in for a while, then odds are, nobody saw anything.

no subject
[Frisk's smile acquires a bladed edge, dark eyes sparking with something low and intent.]
I know how that is.
no subject
It just... doesn't exist anymore. It was good while it did. [But her parents died years ago, and she survived.] But it sounds like you had a really bad one.
no subject
[They're still smiling. They picked that one up from Chara, that sustained extrapolation of that single note, the grin that informs people of precisely what you'd like them to be informed of with a minimum of actual explanation. Some people might consider it unsettling. Frisk considers it useful.]
All the same. I'm sorry things went the way they did for you.
no subject
I'm sorry things went the way they did for you too.
[It's genuine, quiet but true]
You're here now.
no subject
You've got people who look out for each other. Slytherin solidarity, right?
no subject
We're not alone, because we've got each other. [Clementine gets that feeling very strongly from being in Slytherin. It's meant a lot to her. She's felt like she's been on her own for a really long time now. It's good to not feel that way anymore.]
no subject
Hufflepuffs might be all about loyalty, but Slytherins know how to watch one another's backs. [Their smile is less intent now, but no less edged.] We don't let one of our own get hurt.
no subject
This is better.]
Speaking of, thanks for looking out for me. [She taps the bandage lightly.] I'm Clementine.
no subject
[But yes, she's absolutely right. Frisk has broken more than a few rules - along with bones and teeth and windows, once or twice - defending Chara or any of the monsters that might be attending Hogwarts along with the Dreemurrs.]
Hogwarts is our family and our home. And that doesn't end when school gets out, by the way. We watch out for our own, no matter where or when.
no subject
[Clementine has a really, really long time before it's all over. She's on year 1, but she's always thinking about the future, how to rewrite herself and what to do to survive and to make it. No matter what.
It's enough serious conversation for now though.] So you've been here longer, I bet you know some of the secret passageways by now, and maybe you'd be willing to share that info with a first year? [She smiles as hopefully as possible.]
no subject
I like to think I know a few of them. You know there's even a few that get you into Hogsmeade?
[And then, with a sincerity that belies the widening of their smirk, they add:] Not that I'd know anything about that, or anything.
no subject
[Clementine smiles at that, folding her arms across her chest loosely with a tiny smirk of her own.] No, of course not. No respectable Slytherin would be so resourceful... and cunning. [She's good at sarcasm.]
no subject
Were I to tell you that there was a certain trapdoor located near a certain statue of a one-eyed witch that led you straight into the cellar of Honeydukes - well, I'd be lying, of course. There's no way a second-year like me could know such a thing, is there?
no subject
No, no way you could know it. I'd know it was a lie, and I'd never go follow those clues to that lead and definitely not ever end up in Honeydukes.
It's a good thing we both follow the rules so closely.
no subject
Of course not. [Frisk shrugs, one-shouldered, with an uneven smirk.] We're very attentive to things such as rules and regulations, and they are always there for a very important reason that should never be ignored!
no subject
Of course, we only ever break rules when we absolutely have to. [She smiles in amusement then before she lifts up her hand to wave at them as she heads up towards her bedroom] I gotta head to bed. Thanks again for the bandages.
no subject
[They smirk, leaning back in their seat in preparation to kick their feet up like the insouciant kid they are.]
I'll be sure not to see you in Hogsmeade.
