[OPEN MINGLE] Or perhaps in Slytherin

Who: Slytherin House! (And friends and visitors, of course!)
Where: Slytherin Common Room, Quidditch Pitch, various places around Hogwarts
When: Duration of the event
Rating: G (will edit as necessary)
Summary: Slytherin open log!
The Story:

The Slytherin common room was a long, low underground room with rough stone walls and ceiling, from which round, greenish lamps were hanging on chains. A fire was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece ahead of them, and several Slytherins were silhouetted around it in carved chairs.

The common room has changed, somewhat, from its historical description, thanks to the decorative powers of one Mettaton. Though it still extends beneath the lake and thus retains a greenish, aquatic cast, it's much more brightly lit, its cold, damp atmosphere replaced with dazzling MTT-brand warmth. Even the giant squid, occasionally peering in as it does its rounds of the lake, seems just a shade more glamorous inside such a charming space.

Students - and a ghost or two - can be found nestled within its confines, plotting mischief around the fire, studiously doing their homework (as good students do), or perhaps trading Chocolate Frog trading cards. Though Slytherin is not especially well-known for its wide-open, trusting nature, Slytherins are known for not snitching on each other; if a guest or two were to creep in for a while, then odds are, nobody saw anything.

[Peter smirks slightly as it tugs wider at the sight of their smirk, and then he just shrugs in easy acceptance. There's not a whole lot of judgement from him. It's important to step up when it comes to injustices like that.]

I can't think of a better way. Mostly I get really upset, which doesn't exactly change anything either at least you do something.

Hopefully you kick their arse in that duel every time. [Cause that would make him very happy to know.]

Usually. Chara's much better at fighting than I am.

[Which is why they usually stick to being their second, even if Frisk is no slouch themself.]

Hey, as long as someone wins against them. It's good you have Chara. Not just... for the fighting reasons.

[It's good to have someone to stick with and someone to count on. He's been a loner most of his life so Hogwarts is sort of teaching him that lesson]
determinedest: (* You look nice today!)

Best sibling ever.

[They have each other's backs, no question about that. Through and through. But then a thought occurs to them, and their head goes to one side inquiringly.]

Do...you have anyone?

Uh... [Peter slides a hand behind his neck before he shrugs slightly] Not like that, no.

I don't really connect all that well to people.

[There's a flicker of something buried in Frisk's features, briefly, something approaching sympathy or sorrow.]

Well, [they say matter-of-factly,] you can always talk to me if you like. I don't mind being friends with you.

Thank you, Frisk.

[Peter says the words genuinely, offering his hand out to theirs as if to seal it. It means a lot to him that they would offer even if he's so bad at reaching out, at accepting connections. Some part of him buried deep wants it, seeks it..] You can always talk to me too.
determinedest: (* This is your SOUL.)

[The sealing of a contract. A deal. They can recognize the impulse, the need to...commemorate it, almost. They take his hand, shake it firmly, their eyes sharp and determined.]

No one should be alone. [They state it firmly, as if this is a fundamental fact of how things are and should always be.] No one.

[Peter sees the seriousness of those words. He holds his breath, shakes their hand back.]

No one. [It's a soft agreement.] I should get going. Stay out of trouble, okay? [The smirk on his face shows he knows better, saluting them in awkward Peter-Parker fashion, before he heads out.]
determinedest: (* And dethroned Ball with a sharp attack)

All right, all right.

[They fire off a smirk and a jaunty salute in parallel as they watch him go.

There might be a certain degree of bluster to them, but the offer is sincere. No one should be alone. And in Frisk's ideal world, no one will be.]
